If you've ever actually played KR games you'd know that KR games are grind2win. If you're paying at all it's usually for stuff that lets you grind more, or for some selector ticket/monthly card (which usually also gives you daily stamina so you can grind more)
My experience with Lost Ark is more like mandatory alt or play 8 hrs maximum a week before all your lockouts are used up, while grinding alts gets you progressively less and less every week cause the bots that they refuse to do anything about devalue all of your rewards by like 10x in a couple months so even grinders lose. I got rugpulled harder than most cryptos by holding valuable stuff in that game.
Quit lost ark after a couple of weeks once I beat the first arc of the story. My last moments were standing in some random area in a town and there were 8 different bots on my screen doing god knows what. I was convinced I was the only real human left playing the game at that point.
It’s funny cause the rate of bots to real players is unironically probably 8 to 1 right now.
I'll give them credit though, every game has one kino moment and this one was one of the best I've seen in a long time. It's too bad the rest of the game couldn't live up to it.
The castle siege towards the start was kino. The boss fight too. The king getting off the throne and pulling out his sword was just a MOMENT, and I think more games should have stuff like that.
Oh yeah I forgot about that one, and also when the demons come in through the portals and its like 30 minutes of fighting your way through an army just trying to escape.
They really did have some great set pieces. Felt like age of conan. They poured all of the soul into the starting town and then you get out into the wide world and you wonder where the game went.

There are plenty of issues with the game but generosity is not one of them. If you had actually played it or knew anything you would have gone with the gearing angle because that's where it actually sucks.

Doesn't seem like it, you get an infinite roll in game to pick whatever character you want. Don't know how much of the rolling resources we'll get on top of that maybe not even enough for a ten roll. You could try to go for something extra but what's the point really. This game has no chance it's just a distraction until something better comes along.

The animations are really good. Story is well presented too, it's like Time Defenders but better, hopefully it doesn't go to shit after the start like that game did.

All the characters listed on Pyrdwen are epic, there are also normal and rare characters that aren't listed there. Sadly the normals don't have any interactions or story text.
Also Angels and Demons aren't included in the tutorial roll, which always gives you 1 epic, 4 rares, and 5 normals. Demons seem important for party composition buffs but I'm not sure what advantage Angels are meant to provide.

No bonuses for specific races, but bonuses for combinations, there was one for one of each race, one for all the same race, and several for combinations of two races. Demons specifically give bonuses just for being included separate to that so the best party might be 3 of one race and then 2 demons.

Angels count as every race except Demon so you can do stupid shit like 3 Angels + 2 Humans but still get the 5-Human buff.
Ideally use 4/5 of the same race or 3 of one race + 2 of another.
Endgame is probably going to be Angels+a single race to get 5x bonus or 5x Demons.

Game runs horribly, constant sound stuttering and crashing. It's not taxing my computer the game is just very badly optimized. I've only tested bluestacks so far but if I can't find an emulator that runs it smoothly theres no point.
For LDplayer so far (I've only tried it a few minutes), the sound stuttering was fricking atrocious during download but instantly stopped as soon as I finished downloading

I must have missed that but in that case she's got the best AOE damage in the game too going purely by the multipliers.

I fricking love DoTs, and I have no knowledge of anything about this game, but they seem like they'd be really good even if the enemy does a shit tons of damage, with the caveat that you'd have to have a full undead team with Violette being the nuke. That seems like it'd work regardless of whether or not DoTs are actually good. So imo, I'd probably only use full DoT team or not at all, with Violette being a must have
Don't get me wrong. She seems pretty good, but playing around ultimate with only okay-ish AoE range probably isn't that great. Her passive probably takes too long to ramp up too and other than Nini and Rebecca, you didn't really see much from her main skill.

30 pity is only for the basic banner, rate-ups have 100 pity and it resets when the banner ends. You'll probably want to do a few rolls on the basic banner to build up your initial batch of units and then save for rate ups for demons and angels and power creep units.

I've been liking Petra. There are things called.. umm "Dual" something, and the game makes you beat 2 different fights without using the same units. This is day 1 so it's not as easy as it will be, so I used Petra to solo one of the sides which she shouldn't have been able to do. She didn't finish it, because the battle timed out, but she never died with an entire team beating on her
I have no idea about Miriam, but I lucked into a Jade and she seems pretty nice too. So I can vouch for Jade and Petra
you can easily beat dual gate day 1 since they give you enough to unlock 5 slots on level sync, giving you 10 chars at high level

It's just the standard AFK Arena (idle game) formula. I only started looking for games to play on my phone this year, so I'm not a gacha gremlin, but I think there are a few games that already did the phone conversations before Nikke too
All idle games will be like this, they all have this same progression system. It's weird, but I actually prefer Nikke's dupe system. Needing 3 of the exact same SSR is some bullshit, but needing like 14 Epic quality dupes seems like more bullshit, and it discourages using units in the same "tribe"

200 pity vs 30 pity. From pity alone you need 600 pulls for one character in Nikke, vs 420 in Eversoul. And Eversoul lets you ascend all the rare characters you get through the various tiers to use them as material too.

It is f2p. Whales are at 9-35 and beyond depending on how much they spent.
Even the single greatest whale has yet to hit the stage 12 milestone. I'm not even F2P since I bought the $1 pack and I've already gotten walled at 4-30 since I can't clear the stage before it times out and I don't have any more resources to continue upgrading my units so all I can do is wait until tomorrow.

Either you bricked and genuinely got bad rolls or you don't know what to really do. 5-35, 6-35, and 7-15 are the first minor walls. 8-35 is the major wall for F2P if you're not a fairychad.
Stage 4-30 has an enemy CP of 54,554. The enemies are at level 61. By contrast, my party averages out at level 56 right now with a CP of 48,496. This is an obvious wall for any free player because any free player is not going to have any means of getting more resources to advance beyond this point because resource gain in this game is timegated unless you spend gems. I also have 26/42 souls and am at level 21. And I've only levelled 5 members with the rest being synced to avoid wasting resources.
Now, going through my friends list, the average player level is 22, the average number of souls is 24/42, and 4-30 puts me squarely in the middle of the average campaign level reached.
Of the people on my friends list with visible units on their profiles, only one of those people above level 25 does not have multiple base epic characters ascended to higher rarities. And even given the above not a single person on my friends list has gotten beyond stage 8-8 so saying " 8-35 is the major wall for F2P" is absolutely delusional.
The day 1 wall for f2p was 5-35, that's a lot of text for someone who is walled at a place that wasn't even the day 1 wall. When I uninstalled the game yesterday, I had gotten to 7-15, completely f2p. An 8-35 wall seems entirely feasible for f2p

This guy at least makes a point, although you can only use five friend units a day, so that isn't going to help you clear more than five stages in a day. So a player who has to resort to using a friend unit to clear 4-30 sure isn't going to be clearing another two chapters in the same day.

Team comp is important so it really depends on what you get.

Auto clear locked behind a $12 monthly sounds pretty cringe to me if I wanted to skip the game I'd just play Memento Mori.
It's just an (extremely useful) tool of convenience for when you overpower a stage by a lot. You can't skip most of them.

Time limits really are one of the most cancerous aspects of gacha game design.
How the frick do you reset the Hall of Memories? The game says you can do it but there's no option for it, starting the higher level ones is greyed out and it only lets me continue the already completed lowest level.

It does but it tells you you can reset it separately to that, hence the problem.

since you can reroll your first ten pull an infinite amount of time, it won't be that bad. Other than that it's not that great to go hardcore rerolling since you'll be wanting dupes you get later in the game anyway. You should get a good amount of gems in the start, but I would just grab whoever you like the most from the starter 10 pull(or petra) and grab maybe 2 nice fillers to make your team from the normal banner. You'll evitably fill your team out down the line due to the 30 pity system. I would mainly just spend your tickets on rolling though and save the gems you get further into the game for when the featured banner changes into one of the new released characters. Also you cant get the demon girl and angel from the reroll 10 pull.
best time to join and reroll since you get so much gems. don't forget to claim tons of gems in hall of fame.

I tried, even with the strongest characters on my friends list I can't even kill a single enemy.
It's doable with lv 90's if you use correct formations/units/get lucky. Try different things but focus on taking out their backline without getting wrecked by Adrianne's pull. I recommend rolling the dice with Jade/Talia or Naiah with a tank in front and back to bait pull, or roll the rng for the pull to miss and run another dps like Jacqueline/Linzy
