in the beginning of totk I fought a hinox and it was
    >shoot arrow to the eye
    >whack him a few times
    >repeat 10x

I'm sure there was some more effective way to kill one with starter weapons (if you bother throwing stuff from your inventory on the ground and spend time gluing shit to weapons because you can't do it from the menu) but that wasn't very interesting so from that point on I just didn't bother

Yeah fighting boss monsters with low level weapons will be tedious and boring. Guess you should've seen that coming regardless of what game you're playing.

A friend of mine plays this modded with indestructible weapons. I wonder what he does the whole time, because the game must be piss easy and most loot will be trash after being 1hour into the game.

      >shoot arrow to the eye
yeah that's a red hinox. Bows are overall to strong

Is there anything you can do to a sleeping hinox? I thought that horn thing was supposed to be a piledriver that you push through its skull

steal his shit. paraglide down on top of him and loot his necklace while he tries to get up, then shield jump off of him and fly away.

You want monster parts at the very least to upgrade your armor so enemies stop one shotting you.

Because almost every weapon in the game is good for a minimum of 12 hits, most enemies die in 3 hits, and that ratio only improves in your favour as the game progresses. Monsters drop parts for crafting elixers (useful) upgrading armor (useful) or being sold for money (useful). Camps also tend to hand random extra gear in it which might be useful too, which is to say nothing of adventure and the spirit of enjoying things that Ganker seems to lack.

If none of that interests you than avoid them and do something else. It's an open world game, you can go where you want and do what you want unlike linear games. You have that freedom.

Then run by them. If you ever hit "run" in a JRPG then you have no room to complain about this. The game has too much content for you and its nit changing that because YOU are one person.

I'm halfway through the game and I've resorted to just duping weapons[1] and materials[2]. Everything about this game sucks.

    >1: Stand with your back against a wall holding the weapons you want to dupe in your hands. Use the ability wheel to select map and before the map shows up mash dpad right and drop the weapon you're holding, then mash dpad right again and equip another weapon(not master sword). The map should now come up, hit +, then drop the weapon you're holding, then unpause. You'll now be holding two weapons at once. If you drop the weapon you'll get a duplicate of the one you started with.

    >2: Jump off a raised area and use your glider. Open the menu and hold materials then press b+y simultaneously. Pick up the materials. Easy peasy.

      >so moronic he actually needs to cheat weapons in a game that showers you with weapons and materials

If your weapon slots are ever not full in these games then you're just bad at vidya and should migrate over to Ganker

I am playing BOTW for the first time and I realized that beating Lynels is completely worthless? It's just a weapon drain and you just get 10 elemental arrows for it.

Am I supposed to sneak around everything unless I need to farm mats for armor upgrades?

      Anonymous

Yes you're supposed to, the game encourages you to treat it like a stealth game for the first half or so until you're upgraded.
With the flurry rush and parry you don't really need any armor upgrades anyway. However it's there if your version of fun involves killing everything you see on sight. When you kill enough monsters the world levels up and the weapons and hp of the monsters increases. So that's why you would need to farm mats and weapons.

      >It's just a weapon drain
git gud. you can beat every lynel in the game with an unfused stick. no not one stick per lynel, one stick total is enough for every fricking lynel in the game.
