Oh yeah you fricking piece of shit? How do you feel about Nvidia randomly making screenshots of your desktop and sending it through UFM telemetry to their servers?

        that's how I feel, lol

imagine not using nvcleaninstall and disabling all telemetry

I use nvcleaninstall. It still installs telemetry components.

According to this thread some people still encounter that dll even with a clean installation with telemetry disabled.
Nvidia found a way to get around people removing the telemetry from their driver.
            https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/11k1dyq/nvidia_confirms_new_driver_is_causing_cpu_spikes/

            Ok then I stand corrected.
But FWIW nvcleaninstall allows you to automatically run programs after it finishes so I just wrote a simple batch file that deletes that file everytime the driver updates based on

            >>sc stop NVDisplay.ContainerLocalSystem
            >>DEL /Q "%WINDIR%System32DriverStoreFileRepositorynv[INFNAMEHERE].inf_amd64_[UNIQUEVALUEHERE]Display.NvContainerpluginsSession_NvGSTPlugin.dll"
            >>sc start NVDisplay.ContainerLocalSystem
            that's how I feel, lol

            has written.
Frick nvidia but this was like a 5 minute fix.

what is the purpose of this?

To test shadowplay performance. It's actually pro-consumer behavior because it allows them to make their products better.

          Just read the thread.

According to this thread some people still encounter that dll even with a clean installation with telemetry disabled.
Nvidia found a way to get around people removing the telemetry from their driver.
          https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/11k1dyq/nvidia_confirms_new_driver_is_causing_cpu_spikes/

Open up your task manager and see if you can find a bloated NVIDIA Container. It's a bug that occurs when telemetry data gets stored in active memory rather than getting flushed after it's being sent to Nvidia.
Now this is an issue that has already existed for a while for people that install their Nvidia drivers with the telemetry attached. However, recently even people that use Nvidia Clean Install encountered that CPU usage problem. It turns out that even if you uninstall your Nvidia driver and do a clean install with the telemetry ripped out of the driver people still get the _NvGSTPlugin.dll installed on their PC.

I use nvcleaninstall. It still installs telemetry components.

How do we know that this dll is the culprit? Well people just deleted it after stopping the container service and the container issue was gone.

In the thread theres just two guys saying it, I meant something like an article, surely taking random screenshots and sending them to themselves isn't a small thing.

You could use windows task manager to look at which process was using the cpu. As for the rest.

install a software that monitors the packages that nvidia telemetry sends and then find out what those packages are.

I have a shitty 7 year old computer and it ran great for every part until the final cutscene where it ground to a halt at 18 FPS for the "Where's everyone going, Bingo?" line.

I've built my PC a month ago and it consistently stutters in the exact same spot every time. The first one is when you reach the house and walk up the stairs and the second time is when you encounter the first beartrap.
