Embracer said they're open to a sequel but they want a Deus Ex game first and even then licensing depends entirely on Disney. There's also the possibility they do something new or help with a tomb raider game, or they do a new thief game. Either way it's going to be a long time before it happens unless something changes. It just didn't do that well during the first two months given how poorly Avengers was received so who knows how excited they are to publish a sequel.

i remember this entire board laughing at the idea that it won best story at the game awards. everyone was laughing because no one at that point had actually played it. It didn't really take off until they put it on gamepass and had a couple 50% off steam sales, and word of mouth ofc.
I just played it this past Christmas and was blown away at the quality of the story. What a shame the Avengers game and MCU turned people away from this gem.
I was gonna play it, but my interest in the MCU died just as it got cracked. I tried playing the CYOA game and it kind of sucked.

It was pretty average game. You're probably gonna get more out of it if you're big fan of the comics or movies.
Just annoyed me they present enemies weak to fire attacks but you don't get fire attacks till late in the game?

Well Gunn is now shipping off to DC and rumors were he didn't even want to do a 3rd movie for a number of reasons, one being his really good friend (the blue guy) was killed off in 2. Rumors are already circulating Gunn is killing off Rocket. It's definitely the last Guardians movie unless they reboot or get someone else to do it which is unlikely. They want more room for their diversity hires. MCU is going down in flames right now. Ant man was a major flop for Disney and that's not great considering Ant man is one of the few remaining legacy characters they have left that isn't diversified.
I enjoyed the game, but no way was it better than ME2. Combat in ME2 was vastly better.
Writing in GOTG was much better though.

Nta but I felt like the game relied on the powers Too much, starlords guns didn't really feel like you were dealing decent damage to most enemies. Made it less a tps and more a management simulator. Also the ring fang room fight felt like it dragged on a little too long since you were doing the same shit every phase.
The gameplay is good if you play smart and keep running plays with the team, in order, as in use one to get everyone together, another to impale em all, the next two to get the stragglers. Most complaints come from those who just fly around as Starlord going pew pew.

Yep. And the writer is working on new avengers and is defending his work on Ant man rather than taking criticism.

Audiences reportedly laughed their asses off at how bad the Kang actor is. Doesn't look good because he's their new Thanos.
Most reviews I have seen said Kang was the only good thing about the movie.
It's a fun single player game. Probably one of the best in recent years.

Honestly, this may be the best depiction of the Guardians to date. Drax's promise, with his family, was a real, strong moment. Same with Quill and Nicholette toward the end. Those serious moments are never turned into a joke like the MCU does.
And the OST is awesome.
The game pulled off giving Peter a wholesome ex and a cute potential gf for a future sequel when most games cant pull off one good romance.
The relationship between Ko Rel and Peter was nice. I wish we saw more or it.

This 'game' was boring dogshit. Horrible combat, buggy animations, terrible enemy designs(i really should have stopped playing when the first enemy was a pink blob square), and a shitty confusing story drags on for 10 hours too long
