Horizon is mostly fine, but the enemies are bullet sponges and the writing isn't full tilt woke, but it's bad enough that V won't give it a pass
I thought it was fun, but grindy
Forbidden West looks like shit
I just played Ryse and that game looks insane for being so old after it I got Jedi Fallen Order and that game looks a lot worse and fricking stuttered on me even though both have very similar scope and closed level design.
It's like how Arkham Knight still looks better than modern games even thought it will be a 10 year old game in 2 years from now. Same shit with all the original Crysis games. If you show a zoom zoom Crysis 3 he will think it was made today.
That still blows me away how good they look both Arkham Knight, even Arkham city open Worlds albeit not huge but still open.
Art director obviously played a huge factor here, something we just don't see that much of anymore, even in the Arkham spiritual successor of Gotham Knights.
Devs are regressing in their abilities, it's not surprising when you hire based on race and a characteristic rather than ability.
That, plus corproate mandating more realistic graphics and using meme technology while crunching the frick out devs. I genuinely thing even the race hires can make good games, but they are clearly held back by insane deadlines and forced to work with crappy tools and features while given 0 creative freedom. Of course in these kinds of conditions you'll just phone it in for a paycheck.
Ryse had no right to look that good
one is open world
and it's absolute dogshit as a result
It's even made by Ganker GODs in Japan
one is a extremely linear corridor simulator and the other is a cut/paste shitty open world game
Has nothing to do with the console my little shitposting friend. What you're looking at here is the power of the luminous engine.
now that explains why ff15 looked so good
Yes, Forspoken will flop harder
I wish we had a Ryse 2 so we could slaughter more barbarians for the glory of Rome...
Ganker would stop shitting on Forespoken if it had a white protag
I'd probably try it if the mc was a white male. im not playing as a female ESPECIALLY one that is black
Didn't work for Horizon. It needs to be an attractive girl and/or anime shit.

Ryse was good, I wish we got a sequel.
>Ryse was good
>ones lets you walk down a small path
>the other lets you walk anywhere
>more flops
>the game flops
checks out
>make 8k textures
>can't load too much stuff without the game exploding
>game looks bad

Fallen Order still stutters? KEK I figured they would have done something about that.
Ryse is pretty much just a movie running at 900p 30 FPS.
And it's still higher than Forspoken hitting 720p
That is what happens when you have to render a larger environment / longer view distance.
i miss cryengine games
