I don't want to buy all my games again, stupid. I already have them on Steam. If it were even possible to buy Switch versions of all the games I want to play on Steam Deck, it would cost more than a Steam Deck.
Also it's the right size. I don't need to put it in my pocket. Seethe though
>Not true, keep lying to justify that you wasted money on this shit. >While I'm playing Super smash bros ultimate at 60
Seethe gay your tablet toy is shit
honestly, i stopped playing the switch because the games were too expensive, and honestly i think the only one that was worth the price was Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the rest wasnt good enough to justify the price, and that includes Zelda
and even then Smash online was horrible, at one point i sold it to my buddy because i honestly wasnt using it
the one thing going for it was the portability and well, the Steam Deck is just that, portable, but it has something else, on top of being more comfortable to hold, the control options are simply incredible, i can play RTS games on this thing, i can play FPS and more complex games and it doesnt feel like shit with autoaim, and all my cheap Steam games can be played on it
oh, and the fucking joysticks dont drift
so yeah, for me, the Deck is simply vastly superior to the switch
i do kinda wish it had joycons, instant local multiplayer was great on the switch
>It's not, outside of emulators this thing has no value.
bro i haven't even installed emulators yet, just being able to play PC games on this form factor is great, being able to play console ports with BETTER CONTROLS is great
as i explained, to me, this shit's banging, maybe you do enjoy overpriced nintendo stuff, more power to you
>get deck >have small hands and arms >still comfortable
Its great but I prefer using my steam deck connected to a TV and use my switch handheld more, mostly because the switch is lighter
>Explain why intelligent people bought this brilliant piece of hardware that can play just about everything over a Switch that is actually limited and restrictive to what you can actually play
can't get dark void to run for love nor money, tried it on ps3 emulator, it loads with sub 10 fps, tried every download of it out there and can't get any to boot, now trying every download out there, installing on a windows pc then moving it over to the deck, has anyone got it to work?

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
Switch came out in 2017.
with an SoC from 2015 that nvidia couldn't get rid of
Elden ring
video games
A Steam Deck can play Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, while the Switch can only play 1.
cheap pc games and/or already have a library instead of having to rebuy+nintendo tax
Most bought both because they love the Switch so much
Because i already own a Switch and Deck looked great
I use far more often than the Switch nowadays
Switch sucks

turns out emulating switch games on deck is better than playing them on the switch itself
Not true, keep lying to justify that you wasted money on this shit.

FUCK THE SWITCH!
I don't understand either OP that shit sucks
i have both and i don't have brand loyalty so i am able to enjoy both
They wanted to play more games than ones solely meant for children.
>But moooom, my games are for big adults, I'm not a kid anymore!
i owned a switch before da deck

and if they did, you can easily replace them yourself, valve even encourages that
haven't touched my switch since the deck was delivered
You know exactly why, it mogs the shit out of the switch in nearly every way. If you want a deck thread you don't need the bait.
How viable is using Deck as a desktop PC if it's connected to an external screen?
Viable, but not recommended unless you have no other options for some reason. It's an amazing handheld, not so much an amazing desktop.
Only fatties buy the deck
why they let this obscenely offensive blob represent their channel brand like this is beyond me
absolutely disgusting and ugly.
>get deck

Its great but I prefer using my steam deck connected to a TV and use my switch handheld more, mostly because the switch is lighter
I can play Custom Robo on my Steam Deck. I can't play it on my switch.
fuck you
Yours truly a Steam Deck owner
sent on my steam deck
i've been actively considering getting a 64GB unit and 1TB SSD replacement for it
Are they games being dev-targeted to Steamdeck?
>load yuzu on deck
>play switch games for free at better resolution and frame rate
>????????????????
>profit
it's just that shrimple.
>Explain why intelligent people bought this brilliant piece of hardware that can play just about everything over a Switch that is actually limited and restrictive to what you can actually play
Its nice to be informed and experienced.

does it just crash on start up?
did you try community versions of Proton?
either way, according to protonDB seems kinda busted
https://www.protondb.com/app/45710
nah doesn't even get that far, which is why I am still banging my head against the wall, they got it to boot at least
I'm playing so many games on the Deck and my Switch is collecting dust. It's over, you lost. Only normies, gays, women and basedboys buy Nintendos.
