My favorite fire emblem fans are the ones that pretend they were part of the thirteen who cared about the franchise before awakening came out.

You know trolling outside of /b/ isn't allowed, so why do you do it? Phoneposting for ban evasion?

Why do people who've been here for all of a week post moronic shit like this to try to fit in?

Do you seriously think caring about the state of this site instead of using it as a pissrag is trying to fit in, really?

This game changed the entire community into a cesspit of edgy wannabe weeaboos. It's also the whole reason why Atlus is so shit nowadays.

i never really cared for persona, it always felt like a shitty SMT to me.

This is the only true, factual and unbiased statement in this thread. Persona e did irreparable damage to Atlus and forever changed their focus. It's a fricking miracle we even got SMT 4 and 5.

We got Strange Journey, Etrian Odyssey, Radiant Historia and a bunch of other great shit after P3 dumbass. The only two games that have been touched by Persona's gayness (which has been there since 1 and 2 btw) were Apocalypse and SH2. Otherwise Atlus is still doing the same shit it always has, just with bigger budgets.

          >Strange Journey
And it was ruined in Redux, and you can imagine that Atlus will choose THIS rather the original if they want to port SJ.
Just look at P3 itself. It was re-released the portable version rather than the og.

This and Catherine are the best games Atlus ever made.

to be fair fe had romance since 3. the only thing awakening did wrong was introduce avatar characters, which engage has more or less removed

I consider the MCs of Engage and 3 Houses to be avatar characters, even if you don't customize them like in Awakening and Fates. For both of them you choose the gender and name. It wasn't as bad in three houses because they would just call you teacher or professor, but in Engage when the text box says "Alear" and the voice line just skips that word I hate it. Byleth's main problem is that he's a total blank slate that doesn't really add anything to the game. Alear's main problem is that everyone, including your enemies, is by default sucking your dick.

New Mystery was actually the death knell for the franchise but we didn't get it here in the west. But yes, OC donut steel make your own avatar bullshit is what killed Fire Emblem

Before Awakening Fire Emblem was a visual novel with very minor tactical elements with fans who jerk off over dragons.
