good to know, though for some reason, even though I've been doing looks for muses this whole time, I've still only unlocked like, two new face/hair cosmetics.
Here's a slightly better pic with the bunny headband I unlocked a little later. Also made a red&black version of it and made it a hot pick, lot's of people seem to like it.
I feel you. I ended up wasting the megaphone item because none of the poses on their own really looked that good, it would've been nice to just have a regular recording of the whole thing.
I keep meaning to buy room furniture to take little stage photos like this, but so much of the later clothing unlocks are expensive as fuck that I never have enough to grab anything decent.
yeah if you want to min-max the game it's best to cycle between offline mode to maximise npc unlocks and online to farm e-points. might not be the cosiest way to play though. in regards to online i would say my only issue with the game right now (inventory wonkiness aside) is how much i see the same muses in online mode. i've started using the follow system just to mark players i've already styled since i don't want to spam the same players with lookits over and over again. i mean if all the people giving me likes are real there's more players out there but they just love to show the same ones every day.
According to the famitsu thread it sold over 30k physically in japan which is a pretty good amount for this kind of game. Glad that the online mode is worldwide though the japanese names make it hard remember if I've seen them before, maybe I'll try out what you're doing
> go into popular players brand room > all the clothes are packed into the space to the point where they're mostly blocked off
can I just like the whole room or what?
jesus man you have the purple million already? nice work
Is it worth the money?
I dont like that I dont have a store.
it's as shallow as a puddle and as wide as an ocean. if you like the gameplay loop of styling outfits so you can make more items so you can style more outfits etc then it's great.
Yeah, farmed likes by taking pictures with NPCs, alternating between them. Was painful but unlocked a bunch of patterns like the two kimonos and the fluffy cape
yeah i left walking space around all my furniture for that reason. fuck the decor, i'll go for functionality. i haven't updated my showroom in a day or so cause i'm still grinding out the next wave of item creations but here's my ID for anyone to use: 8bXGGGEXgW
Not if you’re currently strapped for cash, but if you can reasonably afford it, I’d say it’s worthwhile. I didn’t think I’d get that much out of it, but it ended up being one of those game you can potentially while away whole hours to while creating new outfits/styling for others/unlocking shit
You have a showroom instead and if people like your shit you get points you use to create more items. And rank 10 fancy items need 500k points to make.
it's very much available in the usa. some anons the other day were able to emulate it though that would cut you off from the online functionality. as fun as this game is i don't think it would be worth buying an entire bing bing machine for, unless there are a load of other switch exclusive games you had your eye on too.
yes it runs on yuzu, just make sure it's updated
it's nice to have anons and other players design outfits for you but other than that you're not missing out on much
i saw people using yuzu on launch day, though they did say they had to update it to get the game to work properly. >Do you miss out on much by not having the ability to go online?
it's definitely easier to farm the in-game currency for item creation in online mode and you'd be missing the chance to exchange outfits with other players. the gameplay is not vastly different though.
Thank you both for the info. I'll give it a try, and if it makes me really happy I'll get a pre-owned Switch Lite - always see them for super cheap online.

i kinda wish there was a way to use the tickets in batches since you accrue so many of them so easily. maybe it's intended as a way to get e-points for people playing only in solo mode. i saw someone saying that you don't need switch online to use the online functionality (could be bullshit) but i wouldn't be surprised if there are kids who are playing this while heavily supervised or people too nervous to play online. sounds silly but i saw posters on leddit expressing nervousness about dipping their toe into online mode.
You don’t need online, at least. I don’t think you do.
I went into online mode and there was no prompt to subscribe to Nintendo online, i went and checked the page itself and it said I had no subscription, and my account hadn’t been charged for anything.
Unless it auto signed me up for some promo free month thing, you can use online in this game with just a regular internet connection.

Oh wow, it's true. I didn't even notice that. NSO isn't required. Says so right at the bottom.

that's nice of them, even if i'm sure half the households in japan have nso by this point. i wonder how they wangle these deals behind the scenes.
>70 dollary doos for a dress up game
Convince me why I should buy this.
unless you live in aus or nz the price is a bit lower than that. if you do live there then i'm sorry.
Is there an actual game here like Style Savvy or is it literally JUST dressing up the characters? Even my girlfriend is uninterested and she's obsessed with this type of thing.
It’s quite shallow in terms of actual gameplay variety. If you don’t like purely just creating outfits + unlocking new cosmetics and clothing, then you probably won’t like the game.
What if
I got an idea
What if a clothing company makes a game similar to this, maybe with a more limited wardrobe depending on the company, but after you finish dressing your avatar with the style you choose, the game offered you the option of buying those clothes irl.
Wait what if you made this game with several different companies on board, Gap, A&F, AE, etc and they get a cut and you get a cut. Would this work?
Corpos wouldn't need to do anything other then approve letting their clothes be featured in this game and sending over a complimentary copy of the clothing so the devs can model it into the game. You would have to do a lot of licensing and partnering, but that comes with the territory.
Sounds like a logistical nightmare.
Would it? All you have to do is enter your credit card info and billing/shipping address once, and once you place an order the game says 'Okay they want this this and this from XYZ companies, ask them "Do You Authorize This" and then the game pulls up your info and sends 3 orders to the companies who pack up your order and ship it directly to you. The game is effectively the middleman.
You ARE platinum level by now, aren't you?
can you actually choose what color the highlights are in that style? or is it just a preset?
You can choose whatever color you want
good to know, though for some reason, even though I've been doing looks for muses this whole time, I've still only unlocked like, two new face/hair cosmetics.
Also, its definitely still bullshit that you lose photo items even if you don't end up saving a photo from the shoot.
Nice outfit anon
But if you want to unlock stuff you have to do lookits for NPCs and raised their friendship status
We simply need more princess dresses.
Is the game any fun if I don't play online?
Sure, there's a fair bunch of NPC characters to style (and who make styles for you), you can unlock stuff from them just the same as any real players.
The e-point grind will take many times longer. You get waaaaay more online.
Of fucking course there's a thread made just before I'm about to go to bed after grinding out 1mil likes
Cool color pick, I've seen way too many player characters play it safe with beige/brown
Here's a slightly better pic with the bunny headband I unlocked a little later. Also made a red&black version of it and made it a hot pick, lot's of people seem to like it.
Not really surprising, red/black is I guess a bit more of a popular combo. I really like that teal-y color though.
cute!
I hope they'll add a recording function without UI (or at least hide UI toggle). Photo item poses look really cute in motion.
I feel you. I ended up wasting the megaphone item because none of the poses on their own really looked that good, it would've been nice to just have a regular recording of the whole thing.
I keep meaning to buy room furniture to take little stage photos like this, but so much of the later clothing unlocks are expensive as fuck that I never have enough to grab anything decent.
have you set something as a hot pick? i get so much passive income in online mode from that that i'm typically rolling in e-points
I may have been a retard for not paying attention to that option
yeah if you want to min-max the game it's best to cycle between offline mode to maximise npc unlocks and online to farm e-points. might not be the cosiest way to play though. in regards to online i would say my only issue with the game right now (inventory wonkiness aside) is how much i see the same muses in online mode. i've started using the follow system just to mark players i've already styled since i don't want to spam the same players with lookits over and over again. i mean if all the people giving me likes are real there's more players out there but they just love to show the same ones every day.

also i should add, if your outfit is composed entirely of your own creations you get a nutty point bonus when people like it. 100,000 i believe.
> go into popular players brand room

Hate that shit, I keep mine pretty simple because of it. Have my ID: 7mXeRE6xL8 got the Eva school uniform and the Orihime dress in it

Here
Super cute anon 🙂

there's gonna be new items for holidays and stuff, right?
butterfly items in december, xmas items in january
https://fashion-dreamer.com/update/
I'll 100000% be grabbing those butterfly heels
IT'S A TRAP

NOOOOOOO ITS ONLY ON THE SWITCH
*sob* and let me guess its not available in usa

Is this game possible to emulate on Yuzu/Ryujinx?
I wanna play it because I love cute things, but don't have a Switch unfortunately.
Do you miss out on much by not having the ability to go online?
yes it runs on yuzu, just make sure it's updated

don't forget to spend your bingo tickets anons, i went to the machine and had about 700 saved up
It always feels like a waste of time since I basically never get the multipliers and without them the reward is minuscule.
it's easiest to get multipliers on the babby bingo. i switch between the machines though since pressing A repeatedly is boring enough as it is.
I mostly played the baby bingo and even after tons of tries I think I’ve only gotten a multiplier like, twice.
The proper numbers bingo otherwise just seems to be a good way to waste 50+ tickets on one round.
i kinda wish there was a way to use the tickets in batches since you accrue so many of them so easily. maybe it's intended as a way to get e-points for people playing only in solo mode. i saw someone saying that you don't need switch online to use the online functionality (could be bullshit) but i wouldn't be surprised if there are kids who are playing this while heavily supervised or people too nervous to play online. sounds silly but i saw posters on leddit expressing nervousness about dipping their toe into online mode.

This is a game for girls.
Everyone in this thread is a girl
even the anon you're replying to?
Stop posting Koikatsu on Ganker

The latter, unfortunately

At least in a video game you have the potential to look stylish
It's only 45 here.

I got an idea

knowing corpos they would either skimp out on development and produce a buggy mess or it would die in development hell due to brand licensing issues
Corpos wouldn't need to do anything other then approve letting their clothes be featured in this game and sending over a complimentary copy of the clothing so the devs can model it into the game. You would have to do a lot of licensing and partnering, but that comes with the territory.
