Here's an idea. Instead of having an epig 1v1 against WoL where we might have just straight up killed him and ruined his plan before he even really got started, he could have just levitated upwards, watched shit unfold until Vrtra was on the ground, and then launched Azdaja into the hole.

I feel like they made a mistake turning Zero back into a human. If she looked more voidsent-like, I think it would be easier to mentally accept that she's an alien with completely different morals instead of a goth chick who was dropped on her head as a child.

I can't recall the exact line, but he basically said that the Heart of Sabik magnified thoughts/obsession, but didn't create them from nothing, so this was her "deepest truth". The msq was better than the past 2 story patches, but the raid hard carried this patch for me. No raid tier in the past 6 years has been so good, imo, that it made me want to try savage.

But this is true. At the end of that fight there's way too many effects stacked on top of each other. I was by accident not standing on a disappearing tile. EVERYTHING is flashing.
This even happens on some bosses that aren't really effects heavy, like the bird in Aglaia. Easy fight, super easy fight, but it's impossible to see which way he's pointing at some of the time. His model can be filled with effects so you can't tell by looking at it, and the ^ can be obscured by whatever.
You have to stay in those circles while dealing with other mechanics

Yeah that was one theory I was considering, that whoever this was wants the scions specifically but they know they can't ask for them directly. Krile isn't an archon but she's seemingly also gotten an invitation, but it's possible the sender doesn't know her grandfather died and it was meant for him. I get the feeling the Students and Krile learning to step up and be a leader who can fill her grandfather's shoes will be part of 7.0.

i think there is a lot of obfuscation about the exact roles here
scenario design is done by yoshi-p. he's the one that provides an outline. 'i want X, Y and Z' to happen. 'I want the story to be tragic, have this character in it, and the final boss is this monster from FF history'
then the lead scenario writer comes up with a skeletal version of that chain of events, then says 'maybe it would be cooler if Z happened before Y' this is approved by yoshi-p. Then its handed back to Hiroi who fleshes it out and adds flourishes
Ishikawa is in charge of making sure its structurally sound and is written well, not the content of the story itself. I imagine she's off writing another project for Square. possibly a new FF

Golbez's meteor buster is interesting too, in that it punishes you for popping your short cooldown as soon as you see the buster indicator.
We wiped 1st time because of healers and 2nd time our HP hardly went down.
it caught me off guard the 3 times i did the fight, wipe every time. it hits really fucking hard for a normal fight. but yeah, flowerpower and gcd healing is enough
