I don't understand why people don't have the self control to not use them and depend on the game developer to police and discipline the playerbase. FF addon use only exploded when a cerrtain playbase started to take an interest in the game and brought their toxicity with them.

Streaming isn't proof of anything. Splatoon is configured in such a way that the overlay is not showed on stream. Same for Cactbot callouts, the audio can be configured to not be played on stream.

Can't speak for every data center but it's absolutely still active enough on Light. Most evening runs have at least 15/20 people in them and sometimes even 30+. And it scales based on player count anyway, fastest and smoothest run I've had was with a single digit group

I only use mods and plugins to take screenshots of my favorite girls, and while I wouldn't exactly like to have that taken away from me, I don't think the game would die without it, specially since plugin boom is fairly recent (about as recent as the ShB WoWfugee boom, suspicious) and the game was doing just fine before that when less than 0.1% of players even knew this game could be modded.
Banning the coom mods would devastate the player base far more than going after Ultimate trannies would so that's why we won't ever see a full on ban wave for all addons. iirc capcom posted a news post on the sunbreak website mentioning people not to cheat otherwise it could corrupt their save data or end up being banned.
MH exploded with cheating since it started getting PC releases. It also doesn't help that Capcom fricked up the games code to make enemies easier or harder depending on your framerate.

I don't really want to open the floodgates to people making a thread every time someone on a stream uses a plugin, more or less. It's noteworthy in Unnamed's case since they won the race. There was also just an overwhelming sense of "this is THE news for the next while" in my head when I started seeing the community response.

Few weeks ago people were in zandor plus it’s a great way to level up so it will never die.
Where the frick do you play, my last dal had like 37 players in, Zadnor is more active than Bozja, and people are constantly doing runs for both DRN and DRS on Chaos.
Can't speak for every data center but it's absolutely still active enough on Light. Most evening runs have at least 15/20 people in them and sometimes even 30+. And it scales based on player count anyway, fastest and smoothest run I've had was with a single digit group

I only use mods and plugins to take screenshots of my favorite girls, and while I wouldn't exactly like to have that taken away from me, I don't think the game would die without it, specially since plugin boom is fairly recent (about as recent as the ShB WoWfugee boom, suspicious) and the game was doing just fine before that when less than 0.1% of players even knew this game could be modded.
All my static uses pluggins except 1 gay that doesn't do it to look "cool" or some gay shit. So that's already 90% of a sampling.
Banning the coom mods would devastate the player base far more than going after Ultimate trannies would so that's why we won't ever see a full on ban wave for all addons. I do use macros similar to that but for teleports especially you gotta identify who is where you also want to be very quickly and looking at names or name initials is a tad slower than reacting to "party member #5 is there so press #5"

there's some times where penumbra is down and having textools as a backup to keep your mods working might be desirable
you can also lump all your mods into a modpack with textools so you're only loading the one thing in penumbra
No, if you have xivlauncher and penumbra you can install and uninstall mods in real time without having to close the game or edit the files in any way. It's actually amazing and I never thought modding for an MMO could be so good. Kinda blew my mind that such a thing was even possible honestly.
