>look it has the words DEUS EX on it, that means if you dont like it you're not a real fan, unlike me who happily consooms anything with the brand attached!
Why is it so fricking ugly?
It's like the Morrowind > Oblivion jump that went from low res garbage with god-tier art style and aesthetic, to everybody looking like a potato faced baby
Fake fans loved IW though.
Ooooh, you mean it filters them because if they say they loved it it exposes them as morons who never played the first one, now I get it. Good one OP.
I've seen plenty of people shit on the game's story but it seems weird to me that there is an entire other Deus Ex game that fans absolutely refuse to play because of muh betrayal of the original. Is it the gameplay just that unfun?
it's very consolized compared to the original. small levels, limited RPG elements, no meaningful choices. it's a playable game but it's hard to see it as anything but a downgrade compared to the original.
>Is it the gameplay just that unfun?
The game itself is a gittery mess. Just aiming at people will make you regret buying. Try it for yourself and see.
The dialogue, which might have saved it, is pretty dry and boring for the most part. Nothing of interest happens until the very end. There characters are forgettable, there's no one like Bob Page or Gunther Hermann in Invisible War.
>There characters are forgettable, there's no one like Bob Page or Gunther Hermann in Invisible War.
There's JC. Literally the only memorable character because his dialogue makes it feel like you're playing Deus Ex again LOL
I liked the part where the jobs you perform for factions and the sides you pick literally don't matter up until the final mission where you can just pick any of them regardless of how much you helped them
>give in to AI God and let him rule humanity >blow up AI God and the internet >put your fingers in your ears and go LALALAALALA and pretend AI God doesn't exist while lining your pockets with israelite gold
Too bad that the only ending they put any actual effort in is the Illuminati one where everything comes full circle, because I never want to side with Morgan.
>find out you can cheat by editing a text file >god mode >infinite ammo >infinite energy >go on a killing spree absolutely cleansing every level. >you can still progress through the story as if nothing happened.
Frick you Clara Sparks. Was a fun murder simulator game but I played BEFORE I played the OG Deus Ex. I feel for the hardcore fans IW was garbo in comparison
is "filters fake x fans" the fotm copy paste shitpost now?
I don't keep up with the shitposting discord
>t. filtered fake v fan
probably a bot
>look it has the words DEUS EX on it, that means if you dont like it you're not a real fan, unlike me who happily consooms anything with the brand attached!
>the future war on terror
what a dated tagline
Honestly its probably one of the best 6/10 games out there.
Paul being alive always confused me when I was younger. I learned that you gotta leave the hotel through the front door later.
>make a choice at the end of Deus Ex
>tee hee all of them came true
This isn't the fricking Elder Scrolls, frick off with that shit
The really offensive bit is merging with Helios to then destroy the very infrastructure that lets JC run the damn world.
Best ending
my favorite thing about IW is how the screen resolution shits itself every time you load a new area.
it's because the engine had a fatal bug and restarting the game on every level load was the only fix
>every time you load a new area
so literally every 90 seconds.
This is the exact moment in history in which consoles started to hold gaming back

The main menu theme music gives me hard nostalgia. Other than that there wasn't much point to this game.

OP you have not played the game because you would know how shitty it is and how much of a disgrace upon Deus Ex's legacy it is. But I have so I know

shut the frick up
Oh god I've completely forgotten how Deus Ex ends.

it's not that bad actually
For all it's faults, Invisible War is the only game in the series to not completely shit the bed in it's final moments. Go figure.
>filters fake DMC fans
