>I need a High End PC
I don't.
I do however need a PC because it's the only platform with video games.
Have fun with the new Final Fantasy (including the upcoming part 2 of Remake) and Bloodbourne. Wait...
There's like 5 or so bloodbornes on pc already and they're all the same.
Find better devs to simp for.
Oh no! Anyway..
Square bamboozled me once, never again
I could post all the games never coming to console (or that have ports that are ridiculously inferior) but there aren't enough hours in the day.
But they literally admitted that bot hare coming to PC.
The only thing left is Bloodborne, an 8 year old game.
You dont, problem is that "decent" end pc will now cost almost as much, which is their new strategy. "When you gotta pay one way or another, why not garden gnome out "little" more to go even better"
If you're buying a 4XXX goyvidia card go for a 4090, otherwise a second-hand 3080 or a brand new 6950 XT for ~$700 are better choices.
>second-hand GPU raped by asian miner
no thanks
Chang didn't buy 3080's to mine, you'll have to hunt down a 12GB one made by EVGA though, otherwise enjoy 100c at max load and death by broken mosfets within a year.
Starfield in 1440p at a steady 144 FPS, fully maxed out.
like the usual modern age unoptimized game requiring at least 3080Ti to run 60fps on high 1080p!
How did people get convinced to buy a graphics card for this absurd amount of money?
What sort of reality shift is this?
And why is the brand an eye ( i ) + nvidia, after the sin of envy, invidia?
Consumerism is a terrible disease.
Every new generation of videocards has its own marketing word. This time what convinced easily influenced retards was "AI"
AI is an argument, however doubtful if even 10% will go through the process to make one run on their machine.

ha ha. You people are completely consumed by FOMO jealousy. It's amazing.

Is $2000 USD a good enough budget for a tower with everything I'd need? Have a mouse, keyboard, monitors, OS, etc. Last time I had a decent PC was about 15 years ago, when I had an 8800GT and a q6600. Not a masterful build by any means but pretty good, I could play crysis, and that was enough for me. Also spore.
But I'm looking back at it, I ended up getting some handmedowns from a friend and I realize my dinky little laptop that I've used since 2015 or so is probably ready to go, and a desktop is finally an option since I'm not moving every year, and I have a house.
woops, for everything I'd need for 1080p/1440p maybe, at 120fps? Willing to settle for 60fps no problem, would just like to aim for whatever's most reasonable and able to last. I'm hoping to get 4-5 years of decent settings on MOST games.
As someone who built a PC for about 2.5k (including monitor and peripherals) half a year ago, absolutely. Just be sure to keep your eyes open for deals on parts
I have no rush or need to upgrade right now, I'm pretty content with my shitty little lappy for the garbage games I play right now (OSRS, maplestory, pokemmo, emulation), so I'm figuring I'll try to get parts throughout the year. I figure between prime days, summer deals, black friday, and then christmas I should have an easy enough time to build up. Thank you for the insight!
How's the 4070 TI versus a 3080 or 3070ti? I was looking at the 3000s cause I hear they use less power and sometimes about the 4000 series cards melting power connectors?
Also I've never used amd cpus (not opposed or anything just never have) is it gonna require a brandy new mobo or will something a year or two old work?
If you want to play on 1440p, do not get a 3080. They only have 10gb VRAM and games now are already starting to use more than that.
For $2000 you can easily get a 4070 Ti + 7800X3D(releases April 6th) setup that will run 95% of AAA games at 120 FPS in 1440p.

I still have my 2070
just played RE4 comfortably at 4k
I don't know when I should move on from this card tbh
Just get rig with a 3060 12GB and a 5600x thats more than enough for everything and you get it for $900 which is a fair price
Any game made in the last 5 years if you want 4K/144
Nvidia, amd and incel should squeeze game devs and publishers because there's no reason to upgrade.
I just played the RE4 demo and it ran like shit on my 5700XT, it's the first time I felt like I need to upgrade. Is it just poorly optimized? RE2 Remake ran perfectly.
