There's a point in the story where, no matter what, Chrom will immediately S Rank whichever of the girls he's got the highest support level with and they'll immediately get married (the only exceptoins are i think Tharja, Nowi, Cordelia and Anna who all can't marry Chrom)
Now this happens even if you're playing Female Robin and you don't get a say in the matter if Female Robin is Chrom's highest support (which is VERY common). This leads to some great meme's about Chrom using the king's authority to take Robin by force.

The funniest bit is that most people ended up favoring Chrom by the end anyways (only other popular choices I remember there being for F!Robin were Lon'qu and Gaius), so a lot of the F!Robin players look like they developed stockholm syndrome. If you want your Robin to hook up with someone else, make sure he spends most of his time paired up with the female characters he can build support levels with.

There's a forced S-support for Chrom right before the (short) timeskip, and any girl among the ones listed immediately reach S-support with him if they have the highest score/bond based on how many times you put them together: FRobin, Sumia, Sully, Maribelle, Olivia. If he was never with any of those females at any point, he marries some NPC. So even if you partnered with him ONCE as FRobin, kept him away from all of the other girls, and forced him to team up with men the rest of the way, you automatically get Chrom'd after a certain chapter with no choice.

Autism here. He only marries the npc if all candidates have been S supported by someone else or they're dead. Otherwise, he has to marry one of the playable units. In that event yeah, it's whoever he has the most support points with. In the event of a tie, the order goes: Olivia > Sumia > Sully > Maribelle > Robin (the listed priorities on wikis seem to be incorrect but some forum autists tested this).

Pretty much always male.
Though if I end up playing multiple times I might play once as the female if it's more than just a cosmetic difference.
Footage shows that you need to use 7 Engage points to take on an Engage form, once active it will last either 3 turns or 3 rounds of combat.
Not completely clear how you get Engage points normally, but Alear's PRF Liberation gives 1 Engage point if you kill an enemy using the weapon.
>girls allowed to wear sexy outfits again >animations reminiscent of the GBA games >maps look like a massive improvement >weapons allowed to have unique icons again >no more route split with a literal fascist dictatorship that's "ok because some of them are nice" shit >ZIGLUDO-CHAN-SAMA-SENPAI

Not that anon. But it is.
Creating every new entry from scratch is just foolish. Don't reinvent the wheel. You don't have to make everything new just to keep things fresh.
the game is looking interesting but i just hate the art style, the peak of the series style-wise to me was the tellius games, i love how the characters have comfy looking leather armor underneath the iron, there's also a good balance between anime faces and war-able looking characters
kinda but it still felt like fire emblem, awakening and fates' art style made everyone look underage and the writing was beyond campy, the tellius games were always focused and the funny moments were memorable because of how their rarity
I never got Three Houses at launch because I thought it looked terrible and I didn't have a Switch at the time. I ended up getting it around a year and a half after it release and it was a dull waste of time.
I'm certainly not going to get this game until I've seen enough to make a proper judgement because I have no faith in ISIS
Can anyone give me a single reason why there are people genuinely concerned the game is going to be full of microtransactions? or is it literally just bait for easy (you)s
Because Awakening, Fates, SoV, and 3H all had them? IS even openly admit to being israelites and use Anna as a caricature of their greed. Heroes also made them a shit load of money
Nintendo moved away from the "million individual dlc" thing but they will probably give the game a season pass which adds cheat maps, costumes and additional jojo stands.
People saw characters like Marth and Sigurd getting "summoned", so some heads immediately went to thinking about FE Heroes since that mobile gacha game is all about summoning older FE characters.
Imo there's zero chance that there's some kind of gacha mechanics implemented into Engage, but I would be shocked if we end up 3 years down the road and Engage doesn't have shitloads of DLC. That Emblem Ring system is just begging to be abused for bringing in other older characters like Robin, Ephriam, Caeda, etc.
Could be wrong though, the fact that Anna isn't a DLC unit again is surprising to me.
I have never played a fire emblem game for more than an hour but this one looks pretty good minus the god awful protag designs. Weird how I only know about fe characters thanks to smash but I might check this out.
Have they said if they're bringing back the moronicly broken rewind system that 3H and Echoes had? Mia's Turnwheel or whatever it was claled in 3H? That shit's almost as bad as Phoenix mode was so if they do i hope they at least tone down the number of rewinds you get. to something like 4, 2, 1, 0 for Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic respectively.
nah, go frick yourself. Even having the option poisons the experience. "hey just redo all this shit from scratch, you won't feel like a complete moron for wasting all this time when there's a 1 button fix everything option".
If you're going to put shit that powerful in the game, have the decency to have an option that disable it entirely. Make it a feature of Casual mode or something. I'm not saying it shouldn't exist at all, but give people who don't want it in their game the option to completely remove it.
it seems like they like advertising those kinds of features full front so maybe not or maybe it's just expected at this point.
just dont use it...
I don't really know what his problem is specifically but it can really hurt the map and difficulty design, if the developers just say "you can always rewind" then they are more likely to put in ambush reinforcements of assassin's with pass or fake objectives that refill the whole map with enemies and other stupid shit like that
i knew you were going to give that response and no its not true you're just an ape who cant control his impulse control so you choose the easy way out (rewinding) and then feel guilty about "not playing the game properly" even though nobody cares. The old games had plenty of bullshit too, the only difference is you didnt have the option to take the easy road then
I've only played a small bit of the first one, my impression was it's one of the best musou games i've ever played in terms of mechanics and maps, but the roster leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if 3H musou is better or worse.
will be the first FE i get at launch, from what i saw its looking great
