Playing Battlefield 4. I never thought that one day this game would be considered one of the best titles in the franchise after its disastrous launch.

Sometimes I feel bad for 343. Especially when they had numerous former OG Bungie members in their ranks. Carrying the torch of maintaining one of the most iconic and nostalgic series in gaming history is such a tall order I feel like they were doomed to fail with being able to reproduce the "magic" the original trilogy had. I feel like they genuinely wanted to do a service and make Halo what it once was, but then I look at their unbelievably shitty "live service" and I have second guesses. Once I saw they were gonna release a remake of The Pit as a new map I knew they had no other options left than to sell the old games back to us in modern packaging since to them we clearly just want the old games again. It's like when you watch a parent try to buy their kids something nice and the kids just reeeeee because it's not what they wanted.

That implies that they know what's best for us. The Halo community has always disagreed on what specific features and games are best, but there are some things that clearly NOBODY wants in Halo yet they keep trying to force (sprint, nu-spartans, drip-feeding features, coatings, challenge system, etc).
That also implies that they're "buying us something" at all. The biggest complaint is that there's not enough content to keep things fresh. And when we finally do get content it's fricking forge maps.
The events of the last year are 100% their fault, and it's a relief to me that after a decade of dogshit people are waking up and they're finally getting what they deserve.

Most people don’t know but the unique GameCube version of goldeneye is one of the greatest FPS games of all time.
The later wii version isn’t quite as good but it was still amazing. Especially playing local against friends or online multiplayer.
