More replayability and not as much pressure to make perfect decisions on higher difficulties.

      Just lower the difficulty

Play the first. There are three different campaigns that are worth playing: original, winterhome and the last autumn

Just play the first, it's not that long anyway.
It has cool aesthetics and everything but unfortunately it's not a very good game, it's more of a puzzle game than some sort of city management survival thing.

About 2-3x more mechanics, building orders, and maybe some opposition to keep it from getting stale after like 2 runs. I like the game, but it's way too shallow and streamlined

      suffering

I think they are balanced, you need to use steam cores which you could use for other advanced buildings
they are only OP in the main campaign because you can rush tesla city

the first game wasnt even very good
it had style but no substance, so maybe nailing a decent gameplay loop would be a good place to start for the sequel

    >you can't make kids do manual labour!

Hated the b***hing of these so called survivors. We will eat human flesh when we run out of options. Pulling together helps us survive. Yes, I want to be a dictator in this game not some homosexual democrat.

My biggest issue with Frostpunk 1 was that after a while you realize how insanely scripted the game is and how there's pretty much only one way to play the game on higher difficulties cause you need to do literally everything the exact same or else you lose. It's good for a couple playthroughs but the cracks in the "strategy" in this supposed strategy game really start showing quickly.

that's a big problem in Optimization puzzles that masquerade as strategy

Hard isn't so hard as long as you know how to effeciently starve everyone and use several emergency shifts right from the start. Extreme is the bullshit one. Workers get sick on their walk to and from work, take 6 hours to build a tent while not being assigned to work, and worst of all there's either not enough food or they b***h about soup. I can't afford them getting sick from sawdust

This, the first playthrough is kino because the game seems much more dramatic till you realize how easy it is.
      >you get 1 free double shift
      >always get 5 workshops up as quickly as possible
Boom, you can now beat the game easy. Then you try the hardest difficulty and you have to do gamey shit, like knowing the game only checks to see who dies of exposure around midnight so you don't need the generator on till then. See

, golden path extreme survivor sucked wiener. Also I forgot if the party dying in Tesla city nulled it so no free steam engines that game.

Making feel the same teeth clenching tension that I *must* make the city survive.
Frostpunks greatest strength wasn't it's gameplay. It was the ost, color choices, and sheer immersion.

Stop playing games from pooland and letting them get any money, you should only support russian game developers instead NATO trannies.

My hopes are just for more replayability and better varied gameplay systems to make longplay/sanbox modes more fun. The original had solid campaigns, but it was never really meant for unlimited sandbox.

its a super linear game for its genre, the devs seem to be more focused on narrative than the gameplay

      >why?
      >because religion bad, deal with it

I don't remember the details since it was a long time ago but iirc it's cheaper and can be staffed with less people and also accepts child laborers. In my case it was much more desirable to build like a dozen hospices rather than use the default med centers since I was dealing with a frostbite epidemic or something. Then the game disappointed me by making it clear that I'm not going to avoid casualties by dipping into one of the forbidden research trees.

The ability to have choices that arent right/wrong morally and simultaneously strategically. First game was lame the moment i figured that out.
