His next game will never come out but we'll be getting at least 10 more years of Aloy's games. He is the only one that could sell me a Sony console but they kicked him out.

For me it's
SotC >>>> Ico >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TLG
The Last Guardian was such a huge dissapointment, it goes against all of his previous idiosyncrasies and just feels like a rushed eurojank game despite the like 10 year development time
how many times did you play TLG?
i replayed it recently and tried to look at Trico more as an animal than a mechanic and enjoyed it tremendously compared to my first playthrough. it went up significantly in my ratings. I would probably still day Ico > SotC > TLG but the gap between SotC and TLG is very very small and SotC gets a big nostalgia bonus. >it goes against all of his previous idiosyncrasies
Technical issues aside, TLG felt like the most "complete" Ueda game to me. It plays like a more developed version of Ico and wasn't as clearly cut to pieces as SotC was. Just a well rounded experience from start to end imo
grey buildings with grey sky >random segments that dont add anything to the overall experience >rehashed bosses that have no reason to exist.
Yeah I love riding my horse for 3 hours.
Look I loved SOTC but its clear that a lot of developers incorrectly took games like this and Ebert saying games arent art, and began making absolute fucking bloated slop for two decades and will continue to fucking do so.
You will never get a tight, compact AAA or AA experience anymore, everything an NPC dialogue mission walking simulator fight the same enemies DLC bloat simulator.
it started like that but then later i found out you can finish a lot of encounters by using her lighting powers. if anything its a balanced relationship the more you play while in your first play through its you protecting her more.
Ico is only game i have replayed more than 10 times and i have played it on the ps2, ps3 and my fucking phone of all things. i never knew playing ico in bed at 3 am on a cold night is literally the best thing i could ever do in my mortal life (and comfy ass ds games)
maybe, but most open worlds are empty in spite of pretending to be full of things to discover whereas SotC is very deliberately desolate and doesn't make a secret out of it or dresses it up with copy pasted content.
yeah it would have get shit on but its literally called forbidden lands. the only complaint i can really register is that its a boss rush puzzle. would people prefer shadow of the collusus to have a combat system like monster hunter?
sensibilities of gamercattle have changed so much over the years that they would definitely rip on the game for not being typical action game slop. (which monster hunter isn't btw, I'm just saying)
Im not going to act like im in love with the combat system in this game, but just turning it into generic rpg action slop is definitely not the way to go
The level design in Last Guardian is underrated. Time and time again I was like "how the fuck are we going to get there?" Whenever I arrived somewhere new and saw where I had to get to. And every time I found the way I would be like "really? we're fucking doing this?"
almost gave me anxiety sometimes, the fucking places trico would jump to.
I remember playing SOTC on PS2 and with them being tied to the "games being art" cultural conversation at the time. I thought this team could do no wrong and are at the forefront of what artistic, great games could be. Maybe its my dopamine fried adult brain, but these games could never hold my attention today. ICO is pretty shallow in its combat, platforming, exploration. Props to them for making one giant AI escort mission and the AI is still very competent though. SOTC I could do the boss rush all day, but the constant downtime of running around in an empty world trying to find them just tries my patience. Last Guardian was in development hell since practically the release of SOTC and by the time it came out, I had moved on.
>cold toned demake
cringe
sorry, I hate the demake but I wasn't able to find a different picture containing all 3 games
top looks best, graphics were a mistake
What about Jusant?
it's clearly inspired by ico or something but it fails at delivering the same atmosphere
It's interesting how those three games are completely forgotten.
Forgotten by plebs who didn't play them, yes.
His next game will never come out but we'll be getting at least 10 more years of Aloy's games. He is the only one that could sell me a Sony console but they kicked him out.
hi took like 10 years with Last Guardian, and it wasn't as good as Shadow of colossus... its over
or whe'll get a game in another for PS6
Wow. Ico looks like a pixelated mess. It definitely needs a Remake.
Reminder that homosexual announced game 4 years ago then that its co-founded by Epic games and we still have nothing on that game.
I bet the deal is through
Art in games is dead, and the fact his 4th game will never release is proof of that.

not even 10 minutes
Developers cannot make games like this even if they tried and they explicitely don't want to try.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Were there any clues that last guardian is in the same world?
Why do incels love ICO so much? Is it because they have a GF in it to live vicariously through? Women dont exist just for you to protect them.
can't you shitpost someplace else?

>excess bloom
>pointlessly large geometric castle-like setups
Look, I loved me some ICO, but the aesthetic is empty.
bloom
large geometric castle-like setups
Kino
there's more to it than just visuals my guy.
Like what? Large empty vistas?
large geometric castle-like setups
>Look, I loved me some ICO, but the aesthetic is empty.
i think my love for blame! and ueda games go hand in hand
Nostalgia goggles save SOTC from Ganker.
If it came out today it would be the ultimate victime of >empty open world shitposting.
