      So who is whomst?

I read all the books before the first game even came out and still a Trisschad. Don't fall for the "bookgays are Yengays" meme.

I read the books too and if you seriously believe anything except Yennefer is the right answer for Geralt you're delusional

You're either lying or a contrarian. Book Triss is shit.

I don't like Triss because she is too much of a simp for Geralt. I prefer women who mistreat me.

I chose Yennifer because I'm not interested in "romance" in games and the cold emotionally unavailable b***h seemed like the girl a dude like Geralt would choose.

I got annoyed watching Yen treat Geralt like shit so I went with Triss. She's more affectionate and I prefer that.

Yenn is for rough pounding and depraved kinky sex.

Triss is for vanilla cuddling and handholding.

I only read half of the books, but Yenn was a b***h and Geralt was just acting like a fricking teen simp for her for some reason.

The games outright confirm that the genie's magic supernaturally compelled Geralt and Yen to fall in love. Once that magic was gone it's up to the player to determine whether or not Geralt still loved Yen.

There's no such magic involved with Triss and Geralt still falls in love with her during the first 2 games.

      >The games outright confirm that the genie's magic supernaturally compelled Geralt and Yen to fall in love.
Which is a crude way to resolve it to be honest.

You're a moron. The genie magic never had anything to do with it, only Geralt knows this in the book. You can let Yenn down gently pretending you've been released from a spell or not at all.

        >The genie magic never had anything to do with it
And how exactly did you come to that conclusion? Only Geralt knows what exactly was the wish in the book. And neither Geralt nor the reader know how exactly genie's magic works.
So the way I see it — it's anything goes. Maybe there was magic binding them together, maybe there wasn't. Maybe genie in TW3 didn't do shit and that magic is still there.

Reading the books made me hate Yenn all the more, so I don't get people who claim that reading them made them Yenngays.

People who only played the games had two games of Triss being the only heroine to brainwash them. It doesn't matter that she's awful in both games, the damage is done. First impressions are powerful, once people are dug in its hard to change their mind.

The Witcher 3 is not a roleplaying game, you play as Geralt who's madly in love with Yennefer.
