Online doesn't even add anything because you don't get the benefits until you bring the region back online and you NEVER return to the areas, so it's all pointless.
>you NEVER return to the areas
That's an outright lie. There are plenty of new deliveries, shortcuts and preppers to find in old areas and it's how you upgrade your gear.
The core gameplay is comfy i give it that but i still don't under kojimbo obsession with very long cutscenes and grindy mechanics, ever since peace walker he keep adding these collect useless resource bullshit, remove this resource management system and i play it
The grinding and likes systems are tongue-in-cheek so you, if you're inclined, grind and grind away for very little gain, and the game pokes fun at it, but it's still designed enthusiastically.
Same thing with the long cutscenes and weird cameos. You just shrug and smile or roll your eyes if it bothers you. Only dig in as deep as you want.
Its the only game i dream about sometime, just random dreams about me playing the game, too bad i finished it like 3 times already, never expected to enjoy something that much, story and cinematics are sometimes kinda cringe tho
>sunk costs fallacy the game
I spent $60 and 6 hours.. it must get good at 8 hours... maybe at 10 hours.. maybe at 12 hours.. might as well as finish it, its probably over soon...
When the credits rolled and it claimed to have an UI director i had to look up the fucker and ask him what is his favourite flavor of paint thinner
Having to go trought 3 menus each time you accept an order, and having to keep a button pressed all the way trough is the most convoluted shit i've ever seen
It's already compelling before then, but Ch3 is the great filter. You get true freedom but are very limited since it's still the start and the chapter drags on forever even when you think it will end.
Kojima is an auteur in creating autism simulators. I thought I was going to hate this game but I tried out the director's cut just because it was free on PSN, got hooked during the first hour. Something within the gameplay rhythm tickled my autism inch, same thing happened to me with MGSV which I also expected not to like but fell in love with anyways.
I could see why somebody would hate death stranding but there's something kino doing deliveries in a desolate landscape to build a road to make other deliveries easier, not for everyone.
had to alt f4 after 15 mins
garbage "game"
>Game gets good after you play it
wtf?
If your game isn't good within the first 1-2 hours then why continue spending time on it? If it's not fun, why bother?
Nier is one of those, it's a slow-burn.
>if you played in online mode you didnt really beat the game
other games like this?

>NEVER return to the areas
>he didn't unlock and upgrade all the cool gadgets
Once you get the robot legs who even cares about the rest?
Most of my playtime was spent hauling shit to Mountain Knot and surrounding areas after me and online bros put in the highway. Pure kino.
That feeling when you connect the 3 cities.

>There are plenty of new deliveries
Who gives a shit? I'm going straight for the main story quests, forget the side stuff.
My apologies, Miss. I didn't realize you were a speedrunner.
Death Stranding is so fucking good bros I sunk 150 hours into it and cried at the end.
Kino.
>armor pad
>oxygen mask
>heater pack
>power gloves
didn't beat the game
Fuck you, the mask stays on cause it looks so badass
>all-terrain skeleton baby
calm down gay, it's not even my screenshot
I'm kidding man, I used all of those and even the super stabilizer cheesy jumps.

>30 hours in
>only in episode 3
I get easily sidetracked in this game.

I played it like it was a full-time job for like two weeks before calling it done, the first few days after stopping felt weird.

After I finished the game I tried a Cliff bossfight at max difficulty and holy shit it's fucking hard.
