It's not gonna be anything you'll want to play. His game is probably either >Walk forward in empty valley
or >Endless runner slop
All with pre-made assets. Anything worthwhile takes time. >t. agdg fag that's worked on a few games.
Both clickbait (have you used youtube lately?) and genuine naïveté (people like you falling for it). It's just not realistic to make a halfway decent game in one day unless the scope of content design is super super small (super basic pacman/endless runner game or something). I implore you to install UE5 (what's in his thumbnail), get a grasp on the basic of the engine and then try to make something Ganker won't say is shit in less than 24 hours. Good luck with that. With the limited time alone your graphics will be shit because you'll have assets that clash due to different art styles (low poly, realistic, cartoony). Your game will be optimized, and whatever mechanics are there won't have much time to be fleshed out into anything. Then you'll have to figure out what you're doing for audio that doesn't sound like shit. It'll be very basic stuff at best.
it's wealth or extravagance porn.
Shit is common now with; i bought all the games at my store, I beat dark souls while blindfolded.
Shit like that. It's so over the top you just wanna see how it happens and its normally cut up and sped through cause users want fast dopamine.
I think that's the only to make a game in a day that's not ass. But then that defeats the whole point of the challenge. That's like doing No Nut November, but cooming everyday and not counting it becuase you masturbated in a different way than you usually do.
>okay guys, I'm going to make a platformer in 1 day >I knew I didn't have a lot of time. Luckily I already had a working movement system from a previous project of mine.
Reusing code is a smart thing to do but it defeats the purpose of showing the development process.
videos like this are usually advertisements for that engine's asset store. >hey guys! i made a game in one day and you can too! >check out all of these game-ready assets available on the unreal store!!! >so cool! now anyone can make a game!! >click the affiliate link, and get 5% off your first unreal asset store purchase with code "gameaday"!!!
They semi-rolled back on it. Personal use licenses now won't have the install fee shit, but actually studios using the professional licenses shit will have to pay the fee.
If you're a nobody gamedev and haven't made any money making video games before, you can use personal license and there's no install fee. Actual studios with $100K+ revenue have to pay it.
It's more of a challenge thing to most people to test how familiar you are with the process, 99% of this kind of shit isn't for sale or is released on itch for free. The only exception I can think of are the DreadX anthologies which are 7-10 days of dev time to make a little horror game and some of them are actually pretty good.

Why do these people get views then, what's the appeal, is it just clickbait or are people genuinely this naive?
>is it just clickbait
If it is on Youtube, it is clickbait

Third worlders are very drawn to these thumbnails with people pulling stupid expressions in them.
The amount of airbrushing on this guy is killing me
i thought it was AI cus of that then realized he just paid some retarded to airbrush out blemishes and other shit
It's obviously AI.
it is AI retard. just look at the words on the screen behind him.

Don't forget to edit in some explosions, huge captions, and do all the heavy lifting off screen becuase everything needs to look fun and effortless.
I watched one and it was obvious the guy prepared weeks ahead.

>No nut November
>31 days of finding out new and wild ways to masturbate
Doesn't sound that bad tbh
Fucking watermelons, vacuum hoses, giving yourself a reach around. A pretty wild month all things considered.

What's the word on unity? Did they roll back on it and allow it to be an engine worth considering again? I hate Unreal and do not want to use godot.

>pic
I think you mean gmedev.
>I MADE A GME
The fuck is GME?
>people responding to an AI image as if it were real
this is a bot thread and everyone above me is a bot
But the picture is real
While you're right and I feel dumb, this type of content is definitely real.
