      >gender dysphoria
Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental health condition in which you can't stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance. It can be a flaw that appears minor or can't be seen by others, but you may feel so embarrassed, ashamed and anxious that you may avoid many social situations.
Gender dysphoria is when the perceived flaw is gender-specific, meaning it's a feature generally associated with the opposite gender of what you identify as. Some examples include enlarged breasts, pelvic bulging, and body hair.
Not that gender dysphoria is not exclusive to transgender people. Many cisgendered men suffer from gynaecomastia, a condition that causes men's breasts to swell and become larger than normal. Some cisgendered women have particularly large labia, which may make it appear as if they have a bulge like they'd have a penis, or a particularly large clitoris, which may appear similar to a small penis.
      >sexual reassignment surgery
Sexual reassignment surgery is the cosmetical surgical procedure of profoundly altering the sexual organ to immitate that of the opposite sex. Modern SRS is frankly not very good, and the body is "programmed" to return to its original state, with quite poor efficiency in doing so. This makes it very likely to eventually lead to undesirable results, or in worse cases; unhealing wounds.

        >suicide
Suicide is most often an effect of a mental disease, whether caused naturally, like many cases of depression, or as an effect of an event, like PTSD. Those who die of suicide should not immediately be considered to have committed suicide, as they are often not rationally in control of their actions when doing so. These individuals have not committed suicide, but rather died of suicide as a result of their mental disease.
However, some may choose to commit suicide, eg. someone who knows they will suffer death, or worse, anyway if they don't commit suicide. These individuals are not haunted by mental disease, but rather a physical threat, probably police or military, coming for them.

Pretentious shorthand for how good the game's control are.
    >>game essence
I have no clue what the frick this means.
    loop
Basically, a formula that the game repeats in terms of its game design. Enter World Map, complete level, next level opens up, repeat X times until a boss fight, unlock new World, repeat. Shit like that.
    dissonance
When a game mechanic contradicts the game's story/setting or vice versa. EXTREMELY pretentious term that nobody legitimately uses without trying to sound smarter than they are but it does describe a real phenomenon. Best modern example is nuTomb Raider having Lara be reluctant to shoot and kill anybody in cutscenes while she's mowing down enemies like crazy in gameplay.

What would you say instead of “ludonarrative dissonance?”

Personally I want a simpler, preferably shorter, term for it. Something more layman, that people can more clearly relate to than some latin words.
        Like the example in

        >gamefeel
An abstract term used in an attempt to imitate the overall impression of a game as one of the five physical senses. Generally useless, as it would require everyone to have the exact same impression of the game, which is probably never the case.
        >game essence
A different word for the primary theme of the game, while it can also be more similar to an elevator pitch of the game.
        >gameplay loop
A simplified sequence of "scenes" which the game is designed to repeatedly take the player through, or through which the player is expected to repeatedly go through. Each "scene" is a more or less vague description of one or more events or actions.
        >ludonarrative dissonance
The disassociation of the player's free actions in the world from the set narrative of the game, eg. the cutscenes. In many games the player's actions can be very strange, and yet the game makes no effort to make notice of those actions. One very clear example is wearing strange outfits in Dead Rising, where noone will question Frank West's choice of wearing childrens' clothes.

"Frank West Effect" or "Dead Rising Effect", or some shit.
Ludonarrative Dissonance essentially means exactly what it is, but there's no reason for it to not have a layman term like "Schrödinger's Cat".

      >game has aged
Describing older games with outmoded, cumbersome mechanics or rudimentary visuals that make it look dated in comparison to new games
      >does game hold up
Question asking if the game is actually good or if it was merely good in comparison to what else was available at the time. Could also be used for recent games that were "overhyped" (aka had successful shilling campaigns)
      >is it still playable
Statement/question of hyperbole similar to the first question, but usually for much older games with extremely rudimentary mechanics and/or visuals
