>Two cities, one of them brand new full of new content >Two MCs with intertwining stories >Two parties to manage, level up, gear up, switch jobs, optimize, grind etc. >Turn based combat is basically the same except now we can move for better attack positioning
This game is going to be one hell of a slog isn't it? Maybe they let the main story be more straight forward this time, rather than 7's "make 3 million yen" and practically forcing players to hit the Sotenbori dungeon. I say all this and I have about 75 hours in 7 with a lot more to go. Taking a long break from the series definitely helps.
Why are the japanese the only ones capable of making satisfyingly long games? I consistently find myself shocked and truly happy when their games "end" and then there's more game to enjoy.
>"face scanning never works!!!" >some cheapo Jap devs do it flawlessly >"b...but it only works for Asians!!!" >do it again flawlessly but for non-Asians >"n...n...nnnnNNNNNOOOOOO MY NARRATIVE"
>BG3 took me 125 hours to beat >TW3 took about 85 hours >RDR2 took about 80 hours >Like a Dragon took 55 hours
I'm legitimately fucking sick of this. Tell your story, tell it tightly, don't let it fall apart at the end because you're dragging shit out way too long, and stop holding me hostage. It's impossible not to become sick of these characters and their stupid fucking problems after so much time, worse yet if the game makes you grind it out.
no, I will come to your threads to tell you that you are inferior for starting with 0 and playing Kiwami over the originals and there's not a damn thing you can do about it
It was always Like a Dragon in Japan. They had it changed to Yakuza for the Western release because it sounded cooler. Also with competitive marketing and the like, Yakuza instantly gives you an idea of what you're going to get while Like a Dragon could be a whole lot of things.
Probably to differentiate Kiryu and Ichiban's games I assume. The Tojo clan and Omi alliance are now disbanded after 7 so that could be another reason why they're going with Like a Dragon now to show that the age of the Yakuza are over.
I'm already sick from all the mutt pandering, and I haven't even played the demo.
Is that Danny Trejo?
Yuh
weird
This series has always stunt casted real actors, they're just also doing it with gaijin now since it's not in Japan.
はい、ダニー・トレホです。
yakuza games are only as long as you want them to be.
Did they add a thousand of Haruka's requests?
a thousand haruka like request
between several girls
WERE BREAKING THE LAAAWWW

They're the last bastion of Human Soul on Earth.
Not always the case, but yea.
it's real content, not woke bloatware. that being said I have 50h in bg3, I'm not halfway in yet and it's great.
Is afroman the mc of this one?
No. He is co MC with Kiryu.
This shit is why I mostly play shmups and replay older games now.
I bailed out of Ichiban's game after it made me fight the same two dudes for the 200th time, holy shit I hope this burns.

Longest I've played a game was around 10 hours straight, Catherine Full Body.
Don’t care, I refuse to play any Yakuza game that has shit turn based combat.

>dumber than kiryu
>uglier than kiryu
>weaker than kiryu
Ichiban is such a downgrade holy shit
he's more soulful
he's better
>dumber than kiryu
literally impossible. Even you, a literal retard, is not that dumb.
If your go-to for marketing is the games' length, then it's a 90% chance the game is certified dogshit.
this series is dead to me after the ps3 era
good, fuck off and stay fucked off

i don't know how i feel about this
i liked y5 but that game was a fucking time commitment
Why did they change the name from Yakuza to "Like a Dragon"? Now it's just confusing.
It was always Like a Dragon in Japan. They had it changed to Yakuza for the Western release because it sounded cooler. Also with competitive marketing and the like, Yakuza instantly gives you an idea of what you're going to get while Like a Dragon could be a whole lot of things.

Its bizzare that Yakuza has become the last bastion of the big budget turn based rpgs.
