The Tak games aren't niche. That series has like fricking 6 games and a Nickelodeon show. It was even one of those fricking games you could play on those stations at McDonald's (along with having happy meal toys).
I remember having McDonald's toys of Tak ffs.
I never played it but it was pushed like CRAZY back in the day
even as a kid i kinda wondered why it was shilled so much
I've heard about it but I don't know what it is apart from being video game. Some sub genre of 3d platformers is my guess
MY friend had this game, it was literally the only game I didn't borrow from him
I only know about him because he had a cameo in this rocket power game I had for some reason. He had a poster in like the main town and he would appear in some levels before just running off. Are his games worth checking out?

There was a similar game for the PS2 but I can't remember itz name
I remember reading about this in a gaming magazine around its release but never got it, is it fun?
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy?
> is it fun?
The sequel (Staff of Dreams) is genuinely a good game and has WAY better design than the first one. Anytime Lok is on the screen the game is 10/10. Everything after Ty 2 gets way too gimmicky and the follows the usual early 2000s platformers woes of....
>First game sets the foundation in gameplay and characters
>Second game improves on the gameplay, perfects the characters, and is regarded as the best in the series
>Third game has gimmicks and vehicle sections up the ass and a "darker" plot
>Fourth title is a canon spinoff game
Na I can't remember anything other than it was jungle themed, third person and the character was like a red Indian. I'm going to try to find it now.
>American character design
the youtuber Liam Triforce speedruns this game
me the Gankerer slowrun that game
Oh, you mean the same motherfricker that said "TF2's community is welcoming and friendly"?
Staff of Dreams was keyed
I found it
Oh yeah i played the demo of this but never bought it
Pic related was dope too but is rarely brought up
There was this racing game on my dads old computer, forget the name of it. All I can remember for certain is that the final level was a volcano, I remember it being about monster trucks but it might have also just been regular cars. Anyone have a clue?
Oh and also if it helps, I think on the title screen there was a guy laughing or saying woah, but maybe I'm remembering that wrong too
I can't believe someone got paid to design that.
Like, these things are a whole process, this likely was seen by dozens of suits before release.
And they all collectively said, yeah, this is good. This is what I want my product to look like.
>was seen by dozens of suits before release
This didn't happen back then for most video games. This is the early 00s remember.
It was meant to promote a Nickelodeon show first so yes it did, also it's not that far off from Jimmy Neutron in terms of design aesthetics so
I loved these games when I was a kid but gamecube version sucked I'm glad I can emulate everything now
