>Implying anybody played this game past day 1 without every wiki open
You aren't rewarded for exploring in elden ring or any other souls game, you're punished for not backtracking.
>Implying I didn't play DS1-3 and Elden Ring day 1 like a from simp, even played them the first time fully blind while avoiding Ganker.
They have shit exploration, all of them require you to backtrack for almost everything "hidden" constantly or you'll miss it forever and the payoff is never really worth it because you get most of the shit so late you don't even get to use it until NG+ and by that point you're already in fully upgraded gear and have to grind mats to upgrade them.
no people just use the in game message feature unless they're playing a second character with a specific build in mind
Fair enough, tons of shining lights on every wall that might possibly be hittable or any slightly shadowy corner that might have a path in it.
I really do mean the most arbitrary fucking shit like one rock being loose so you fall on your face and get mauled or walk 0.01 too much to the left trying to get across the chasm to the flaming sword

I did and it's broken, the beast is piss easy if you just bubble and throw shit at him. It takes a solid hour.
I lost 3 days of progress (Playing an hour here and there) because I decided I wanted to go get the basket on floor 1 that's at the very start, instead of just proceeding to level 2 since I never found the map and it was the only thing I didn't think I got.
My foot slipped between the boards I was using as a bridge, game over, started me back before my first perk was researched and I had like 4 completed at that point.
Then I died there again on my next character. Then I stupidly just jumped off a cliff in the prison area of floor 1 because I was impatient and forgot. It's all part of the game, the checkpoints are fairly rare though which kinda sucks because if you don't know the exact location of a checkpoint trigger, it saves the first time you pass it so you might pass it early and then explore an entire floor only to die, and that was your only checkpoint for that floor.
I think floor 1 has like.... Two checkpoints? And even floor 1 is huge, and has a newby trap area in the middle of it really just meant to kill you with pitfalls.
>Play exanima >Get far in >Die to arbitrary bullshit like falling down a hole >Now have to restart all the way back in level 4 >Have to bait the beast >All for basically zero reward because the game is developing at a snails pace
And it's insane that these italian cuckolds want you to restart the game fully when you can so easily get killed

Used to be that when I was beginning to play I would just run off and kill myself on level 1 if I got hurt because of how limited healing was.
Now I'm just too good to get hit
Don't the healing jars replenish over time? I swear they do. But maybe that was an old feature, I bought this game way the fuck back when it was new so I forget since I only play once a year or two.
No? Always been a limited supply. Most of the later levels don't even have really guaranteed spawns since they could be in any container, even ones in impossible to reach spots.
I distinctly remember by the time level 3 was out that the jar would refresh after you killed enough enemies. I can't imagine I'm thinking of another game... Weird.

What the fuck are these retards doing most of the time?
Elden Ring
Gothic 2, Elex

You're a fucking retard and didn't play the game on release. Quit being a miserable fucking cretin.

Game is fun, though.

how's Risen?

The first one is Piranha Bytes' best attempt at recreating gothic.

good enough I guess. Thanks anon.

That's your own fault. Last time I died after level 1 I didn't play for two years.

I don't understand? what is the context and point of this thread? it feels so vague.
OP wanted to talk about exanima without mentioning exanima, apparently.
I also argued about Elden Ring having exploration because it doesn't.
>Game with the best exploration doesn't have exploration because it just doesn't OK?
Witcher 3
Skyrim
Hitman: World of Assassination
Noita
>Witcher 3
that game doesn't have exploration, just a question mark icon hunt
Pathfinder WotR had some funky gear hidden around in places off the beaten trail.
