Competitive multiplayer games with forced 50/50 matchmaking.
Otherwise none. I can't think of a single player game that keeps a steady pace of difficulty, either because it's impossible to account for player skill as they play more and get better, or impossible to balance when too many systems get introduced.
Literally the easiest games to climb in, if you are so good you get thrown up the ranks so things can stay balanced otherwise you would destroy win rates at the bottom
>easiest game to climb in
This only works in a perfect world where behavior score doesn't exist and matchmaking doesn't make one sided stomps or 'force 50' by making you have to carry your entire team to win. Also account buying, boosting, the whole system is fricked.
Imagine if every time you won at Football your team was replaced with more and more moronic players until eventually you were playing with absolute dreg dipshits while your enemy team winds up relatively balanced on the 'average' scale
let's do it with numbers. You are a skill level 11, your team is a 3 and a 4. Your enemy is a 5 6 and 7. As you win, your team goes down to 2 and 3 and your enemy goes up to 6 7 8, until eventually every game is one of two outcomes:
You(11) 1(teammate) 1(teammate) while the opposing game is 7(enemy)7(enemy)7(Enemy) and you have to carry your team and hope the idiots on your team do not frick up hard or feed if it's a moba
OR
You(11) 5(teammate)5(teammate) vs 6(enemy)6(enemy)7(enemy) and the game is a totally stupid stomp where you completely destroy them with your advantage in skill and lack of moronic teammates - causing a slew of the previously mentioned games wherein your previous teammates who were 'average' are now on the other side and your teammates are now morons who are supposed to lose because they've been boosted or something.
definitely agree with these two, i used to play a gay low playerbase moba with seasonal leaderboard resets and no real incentive to keep playing past a certain point other than breaking your leaderboard record and seeing the new characters and how the play out, people get to a point where they commit most of their daily life to leaderboard grind just to ultimately fall to the bottom once more, then stagnate somewhere in the middle or top. can't say it was ever a good use of my time.
OP is cleary hoarding a large 2TB folder of booba images and just placed this pic related in there by mistake. OP I DEMAND you post the entire booba folder in this thread NOW.
This, I'm sick of people trying to find some deep meaning of life from fricking Sisyphus of all characters. I get that a lot of Greek myths are people being deceived by the antics of the gods and then getting punished for it brutally and randomly, namely all the women Zeus would seduce while disguised so his wife would torture the unwitting women, but out of all the stories Sisyphus is the one that contains actual justice being done. The moral of the story as told by the Greeks was that Sisyphus was a dickhead and now he gets what he deserves in tartarus for eternity. That's all it is, it's not some deep absurdist metaphor for the human spirit like reddit bugmen parrot or any other such shit. Camus was an edgy gay whose entire philosophy was built on being a nonsensical contrarian.
>Hercules goes rageaholic mad and murders his family >goes on suicide by quest >succeeds indirectly as he's burned alive by the acid blood of the Hydra
Old tales are a thousands times better, wackier and violent than any half baked capeshit
Original Monster Hunter >Spend 2 hours gathering stuff to craft items for hunt >Spend half an hour doing some lower level hunts to earn the zenny needed to take on the Rathalos quest >Hunt Rathalos >Inevitably time out because he has a gigazillion hp and flies loop-de-loops around the whole map
You do not get back any crafted items you used, nor do you get refunded the contract fee for the quest. And in the original Monster Hunter, contract fees were really high proportional to the money you earned. So it's back to step 1 after every failed hunt.
Or you can take the coward's way out and savescum.
>have to find every upgrade part again after every level >upon finding the last part the exact same song plays on loop
why did they make the game like this? at the same time are there any other games like this?
Alot of older games, particularly on the NES, don't have end screens. They're arcade games when you hit the final level and complete it, the game just resets you straight back to level 1. No credits, no fanfare, nothing.
Returnal has a mode that is literally called "Tower of Sisyphus"
Destiny 2

Cope, good players literally always climb
.t someone with a vested interest in making the pro scene seem legitimate
Sekiro does it well as enemies become more and more aggressive/longer to kill. Ishinn is the hardest boss in the game

Yep. The classics are really only respected for their age. Most ancient epic poems are basically just capeshit.

You mean the thinking mans course of action?
Anything with permadeath. Probably the most moronic concept for a game enjoyed only by autist neets who can afford wasting time
The game is my life, yet I'm the one who's being played here.
