this is an alphoomer
they'll be much worse, at least some of the older zoomers avoided smartphones, oversocialization lockdowns, and algorithmic digital slop for most of their formative years
Boktai is a very famous game but if you're a zoomer I can see why you'd never hear of it, it's obviously never going to be ported anywhere else.
Anyway this happens all the time to me, because about 10,000 games come out a year on Steam and I'll read about some awesome game that came out 3 years ago that is exactly what I like.
>gimmick is to be played outside >the only console where this works doesn't have an illuminated screen >the only console that has it blocks the game
What a fucking turd. Whoever tells you this game was good, played it on an emulator.
Anon you couldn't see shit outside with a regular Game Boy Advance. I tried.
Oh, there was the Game boy Micro though, and this game worked fine there, I forgot to mention that one.
I actually took Boktai and a Game boy Micro to a school trip once.
>Anon you couldn't see shit outside with a regular Game Boy Advance.
Bullshit. You can even take photos of the screen if you are outside. If there's any light source capable of illuminating that awful screen is the actual sun.
are you retarded or larping? you absolutely need a light source that you angle your screen against in just the right way that it gets illuminated but doesnt reflect the source itself and cause glaring. the sun is a good light source but it isnt perfect, which is the whole point of the game. you have to chase the sunlight to be able to properly play the game. dont know if overcast would already be too little sunlight though
Everyone who played megaman battle network knows boktai they had crossover content, there’s also lunar knights, they are good games you should try them
>Everyone who played megaman battle network knows boktai they had crossover content
So did MGS4. You can unlock the solar gun and it has Boktai music you can select to listen to when playing MGO
Only the zoomiest of zoomers dont know what Boktai is.
If they did make a new single player Phantasy Star I would want it to be like Dragon Quest 11, basically a "what if we had kept making PS games until now" modern thing.
Realistically it would probably be shitty 16-bit throwback that just plays like Phantasy Star 4 but worse.
I also have no confidence in single player Phantasy Star without Rieko Kodama as the writer and she's dead now.
>and it makes more money than most of their games
The sad truth, and because of stupid paypigs if we do get another game, the same retards in charge of it right now will cash out on that too while making yet another god awful "videogame". Also it's not an MMO because it can't even render more than 32 people on screen at once, in a single cornered off segment of the "world". Absolute embarassment honestly.
Speaking of konami one game i didn’t know about is konami wai wai world for the NES it’s kind of like megaman you play as konamiman and you travel to other konami worlds to save the protagonist of other konami games, to me it feels super ambitious for a NES game
This looks pretty cool. I was just telling an anon in Ganker to check out some Konami games, he wanted "Japanese style" games but didn't give any specifics as to what genre or anything
Also speaking of Konami, I recently decided to try out some arcade titles. Never went to an arcade growing up so not really familiar with many titles. Tried Violent Storm. It's fucking fun but that music though
Also also Konami, I recomend Getsu Fuma Den. Japan only NES but there's an english fan patch. I think it could've been a hit had they ported over to the west.
I haven't since >roguelike. Also the last time I saw it was still in early access and I just looked it up, seems like its not that good. Some of the art direction seems awesome though. Maybe I'll try it during a sale.
https://www.businessinsider.com/zillennial-lives-with-parents-spends-on-luxury-goods-2023-1 >Called "zillennials," or "zennials," this cohort of roughly 30 million consumers includes anyone born between 1990 and 2000 — right at the cusp of the millennial and Gen Z generations.
I remember singeing my game cardrige a bit after realising I only had to put my desk lamp very close to the sensor to make the game believe it's sunlight. Fun game eventhough I don't remember much.
Agreed. I tried playing it a second time after the first, but just couldn't manage to get through it. It's a neat idea on the first run, especially with scrambling for sunlight in the middle of a boss encounter or trying to get into the shade due to the sensor overheating. But at it's fundamentals, it's a really simple stealth game with even more basic puzzles and just standing in sunlight after a boss fight. Plus some weird stuff like a sun bank to store sunlight, so you can play when it's dark.
How fucking young are you that you're not aware of Boktai? Were you born after the GBA's lifetime ended? It even still gets talked about just because of the unique gimmick, aside from the MMBN crossovers and the DS game.
Browsing for shit to play on steam, found this game.
Seems like Persona meets Yakuza...IN INDONESIA! Somewhat picked my interesting so i consedersd getting it once i clear what i'm cutrently playing.
You are supposed to place your Gameboy outside and let the solar bank fill up. You only need sunlight to purify bosses and to solve some puzzles. The game would always tell you when you need actual sunlight to progress. Even then you would only need it for a few seconds.
Zoomer thread?
Zoomer thread
You have to be 18 to use this site.
Im 29
Not an argument
Hitchen's Razor, child
Not an argument
Zoomers born in 2005 are already 18.
>there are people that never touched the original DS using this site
this is an alphoomer

Have you never been in one of the many GBA recommendation threads?

Well that's why you're meant to play it outside, because your screen needs light anyway
Anon you couldn't see shit outside with a regular Game Boy Advance. I tried.

Is that crossover content present in the newest release of battle network?
I didn't know shinji mikami designed the goof troop game.
did you know that sega has a mmo thats based on a ip thats older than sonic and it makes more money than most of their games
Really wish they would make a new Phantasy Star game (as in, single-player turn-based RPG)
It would be cool if Atlus did a remake.
If they did make a new single player Phantasy Star I would want it to be like Dragon Quest 11, basically a "what if we had kept making PS games until now" modern thing.

Sega calls it a MMO and so does Steam.
At least put a tiny amount of effort into your shitpost.
Enjoy your ban 😉
>inb4 "B-B-BUT I WAS JOKING!!!"
Too late :^)
I want to be banned from this fucking trashheap of a site
Also use airplane mode retard to circumvent any ban
Please, continue to use airplane mode so you can be range banned and we never have to suffer from your brainlet thoughts again.
Dipshit

There's a remake of that game, I was looking at picking it up. Have you played it yet, it actually looks great?
I haven't since >roguelike. Also the last time I saw it was still in early access and I just looked it up, seems like its not that good. Some of the art direction seems awesome though. Maybe I'll try it during a sale.

What the hell kind of game is this?
Very fun beat 'em up, good amount of humor as well. The ost is a 10/10 though.
holy shit what a tune

Its not a Kojima game is that's that you are implying. I think he did direct a romance VN back in the 90s
really giving away your age, zoomanon.
Test
yours is low
I remember singeing my game cardrige a bit after realising I only had to put my desk lamp very close to the sensor to make the game believe it's sunlight. Fun game eventhough I don't remember much.
It was kind of boring. I played it on my 3ds
Agreed. I tried playing it a second time after the first, but just couldn't manage to get through it. I knew of Boktai.
I had no idea Kojima was involved wtf.
Kojima should have added Snake as a hidden character.
He is.
He's so good at stealth I missed him.
he's the ??? guy in 2 who you buy lootboxes from
>gimmick is playing under sunlight
>GBA screen
>under sunlight
Only Kojima could make such pointed commentary on screens.
How fucking young are you that you're not aware of Boktai? Were you born after the GBA's lifetime ended? It even still gets talked about just because of the unique gimmick, aside from the MMBN crossovers and the DS game.
>Hideo & Kojimbo
How many of you had any idea this was an actual thing?
Monhan Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village is a JP-Only monhun spinoff made by Fromsoft.
Idk if this is well known or not but i always found it neat
Iirc, its kinda memed as the Dark Souls of Monster Hunter.

Haven't heard of this game in my entire life until a minute ago
