GAMING LAPTOP

Do you have one, anon? I'm going to abroad for a while and need a decent laptop, any of you got suggestions? (Preferrably in the $700-1,000 price range and also a decent GPU like 3050) Apparently the super thin ones overheat way too much and Lenovo lap tops have screen color issues.

I do but it's from 2016. The thing about gaming laptops is they become out of date pretty quickly for gaming but stay really decent laptops for general use.

      What model is it?

ASUS GL702VM, i5 and 1060. It wasn't bad for what it was. It can still play the games I want to play.

Yes, I have a Lenono Legion 5 with a 1650. It's true that the screen colors are subpar, but it also depends on what kind of screen you get in the thing. The 120hz screens I think are bad, but the 60hz screens are better. Something like that anyway.
I don't really care about performance because I only play old games anyway (it was literally replacing a £120 thinkpad L430 I got on ebay), but I am very happy with it.

No because I'm not an inbred moron. You won't do any gaming on the go. You'll be at your desk 90% of the time with a garbage overheating piece of shit.

Damn fricking straight anon. These morons just don’t get it. They really think they’ll be going literally anywhere with a fricking laptop.

I own a asus i5 1060gt just cause I'm away from home and got sick of playing switch shit. It's pretty good but your not gonna get long playtime on battery. I just play xiv on 60fps since if I put it on 144 the fans are loud as frick. It's pretty quiet on 60.

I don't think a $700-1000 laptop counts as a "gaming laptop" but that's the right price range I'd recommend for general purpose + still able to play the vast majority of games.

There is literally no reason to buy a """gaming""" laptop.

Get one that runs mid tier and get used to streaming games.

High end laptops will have a bunch of random problems down the line from my experience, mostly from the heat ruining everything else
