it's trainable, it affects all games
and it's entirely separate from the player's actual system, using only monitor visuals and internal hardware, meaning undetectable cheats will be everywhere instead of only in FPS like they've been for years

        >meaning undetectable cheats
        Games will just blacklist EDIDs.

Easily flashed with generic info manually, and there would be programs to do it automatically for absolute morons if that ever was a thing.

I would question how easy it is to flash custom data onto a modern display. it is one thing to do a firmw3are update, another to have to crack that to inject your new data.

This stuff could let you gain an incredible advantage in RTS games like AoE 2 where you have to judge what the opponent is doing based on visual information. Imagine an AI system that could make an accurate guess of the opponent's tech progression and economy because it exactly counted all the units and buildings that were visible for a few seconds and knows how much time progressed since the match started.

This is what I use but upscaling things to 1440. Is upscaling the right word, all this downscaling upscaling superscaling shit always confuses me there's too many fricking definitions in the world

      Anonymous

upscaling is going up, 720p image on a 1080p monitor (example)
downscaling is going down, 1080p image on a 720p display
supersampling is sampling the image at higher resolution for higher quality, rendering 3d 1080p image for display on 720p display

okok so I'm supersampling I think then running 1440 on my 1080. From what I understand it's not as good as native 1440 because the limitation is the number of pixels? Is the visual quality difference huge between those?

          >not as good as native 1440 because the limitation is the number of pixels?
Ultimately yes - you can't display pixels you don't have. The benefit you are getting is just the inherent anti-aliasing going from big to smaller provides.

Pic sort of related - if you scale it to your screen there is no hope in hell of see any aliasing.

why is everyone only talking about multiplayer stuff. people are going to use it in sp too, like having a pop up that tells you when to roll during dork souls.

Because every multiplayer game is going to be fricked. I can think of 12 ways I'd ruin games already, you already named one. Now all the brain-dead min-maxers and cheaters can't even be outsmarted or outplayed.

games will soon detect movement and then brighten and make a big red outline around things that are moving human shapes, then the game will compensate for your aim and assist you with magnetism while dynamically brighting up your surroundings if they happen to get too dark

Competetive esports has always been cheated. Arguably fgc is the only one because its reliance on lag-free practice and the grassroots format.
If you are playing online games then you already play with inhumane achievers.

Multiplayer has been shit for years and this was only natural.

IIt's a necessary step to force people to get online passports to use the internet. Once in place, you cheat once and you are fricked and out of the online games world forever. That's the future cheaters has created. Deal with it.
