Aside from muh "dumbed down movement" is there any argument as to why these games aren't as well liked on v?

I am Ganker.
I don't like Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 because they are Nintendo games. Nintendo makes bad video games, and I hate them. I hope this cleared things up.
thank you mr v, that did clear things up for me.
Man i replayed these games so much, no matter which one, it makes me happy to start a new save and blast through them
Maybe one day all you trannies will learn to live in reality and accept that they are good games, great games, and barely any game has been as fun as these 2
I am Ganker
This is a moviegame board. Take your buttons and muscle memory reflexes and shove it up your bigoted ass back at /misc/.
For 2 it's because it lacks the sovl of 1 but as a level pack the levels are even better
>explain why this game is less liked but don’t give the reason
A second game was not necessary. It should've been something else.
Honestly, the second game had better gameplay and mechanics, but didn't feel as soulful as the first game.
I think that would go to Sunshine if we're being honest.
>implying 64 and Sunshine didn't have the same issues
At least Galaxy had different sections with each star mission, as well as some nice secrets.
They are pointless walking sims.
>No difficulty
>No choices
I'm ok with an easy game if it's open.
I'm ok with a linear game if it's a challenge.
This?
Cookie clicker tier. Just walk towards the star and grab it. Enjoy the scenery.
the dumbed down movement is a valid argument
Those games feel incredibly stiff compared to any other 3D mario game.
>U R MR GAY
>U R MI LY
why are sequels like this?
Ganker hates fun and likes to be bitter about random shit for no reason
Super Mario Galaxy is amazing, it's 2 that's shit because it has no new fricking ideas to the point they literally put a Mario 64 level in it
2 is the better games. You 1 better because you are a Rosalina gay.
Level design is basically run around the planet, collect 5 star pieces to create the launch pad, fly to the next planet. Rinse and repeat. These games trick you into thinking the level design is anything special
All Mario games are bad because they don't tell you which moves to use. There's no motivation to ever do more than the bare minimum because there is no game design.
switch troony board
that's it
Galaxy 2 is the GOAT 3D Mario.
It's definitely one of the greatest linear 3D platformers ever.
I don't like how Mario controls
2 has more interesting/engaging level design and better post game content.
Comet challenges were better executed in Galaxy 2, especially the timer and purple coins ones.
Ganker doesn't HATE them but they are generally knocked down at least a tier by the fact that their movement is an even further downgrade from Sunshine's. If we got a new game that just outright had SM64 movement plus the new gimmick, I think it'd be fairly well liked if the level design also held up.
Really, it's a shame. Galaxy has some killer style and a story that genuinely captures the tiniest bit of interest, a rarity in Mario games, but its gameplay just doesn't quite measure up.
>Super Mario Galaxy 2
>Donkey Kong Country Returns
>Kirby's Epic Yarn
>Sonic Colors
2010 was a good year for Wii.
>Kirby's Epic Yarn
>Sonic Colors
Grow a pair Black person
these are fun games, only troons hate them
>muh "dumbed down movement"
that's literally the most important part of a 3D platformer, if your movement isn't satisfying the game is a failure and it's not even that there's less options than in other 3D mario games but the simple act of moving feels like shit, mario takes forever to get going and his momentum gets killed immediately
>if your movement isn't satisfying the game is a failure
I feel that way about the first Ratchet & Clank. I don't think it's fun.
>Muhmentum
Not gonna like the game for me because I'm not a hedgehog
I don't remember Galaxy ever being hated, but 2 is a straight up rehash (even if it is a decent one).

>How is the revolver good game design and not an obvious design oversight that the player is never encouraged to use that could be removed with zero consequences
But in that example the infinite ammo minigun would be Mario's expanded moveset, because it's clearly far more efficient. Thus encouraged.
The shitty revolver would be the basic b***h moveset and basic b***h paths because it sucks.
Clearly Odyssey encourages players to use the expanded moveset to take the much more efficient shortcuts.
