Probably wanted to avoid touching the poop.
Also he was on PS4, the design of which facilitates being covered in shit in a way that's less visible in low-light situations.
It's honestly not that bad of a game. Apart from the unfortunate repetition (that can be alleviated somewhat by the DLC) it's actually quite good.
It was a mistake making it a Mafia game, though.
It was a fine game on its own, but it really had very little to do with the core gameplay experience or trademark storytelling of the first two Mafia games.
My guess was that they felt it wasn't different enough from other open world games that it had to rely on brand recognition.
>It was a fine game on its own
Remove all the baggage from it and turn it into its own IP and it'd be a solid 5/10 that would be forgotten forever a month after launch, the suits were right to tie the Mafia brand to it, because the shitstorm it got was the only reason it got enough attention to sell and is still half way remembered if only as the bastardisation of a franchise. It sold far more than it had any reason to on its own, and is proof this kind of IP hijacking works.
Yeah that's pretty much what I mean.
When I say "fine game," I mean somewhere around 5 to 7 out of 10.
Something I would never buy unless it was 60% off, or would otherwise pirate.
That being said, we agree that it needed the brand recognition to succeed, and unfortunately that worked on pulling in normalgay/cons00mer demographic as usual.
>kill a brand in the process
I actually doubt this would be the case, they could pump out a mafia 4 and it'd probably still do sufficiently okay in sales, even more so if it didn't look like hot garbage from the trailers alone. Consoomers are bawds when it comes to sequels, they can't say no.

DMC4, a not even half-finished game, sold better and faster than 3, widely regarded as the best in its series, simply because it was following up 3, while 3 was following up 2. Which is... not the best in the series.
If they're not doing anything with the IP it's a sure way to make a quick buck, but if they ever decide to do anything more with it then they will be paying for that.

Well they fairly recently remastered the original games, chances are that was a test to see how damaged the brand was, so based on how well they sold we'll maybe see a Mafia 4 in 2024, but I have no idea if they sold well since I barely paid attention to them.
best thing about it is the city the music the cars its a shame theres like nothing in the city to actually do and the missions are generic outpost shit
why didn't he just go to the bathroom? is there a picture of this guy anywhere?
It has one of the greatest intro FMVs I've ever seen, it really sets the mood and gets me pumped to explorer the bayou. Unfortunately, the game is just downright mediocre, even more unfortunate after how good Mafia 2 was.
The best way I can describe it is that it's an amazing setting and backdrop for the absolutely nothing you can do in it. Empty open worlds were all the rage in 2015-17, after all.
Why didnt he want to go to the bathroom? He wasn't even in the middle of doing anything important in the game. Did he enjoy the feeling of needing to shit?
>Did he enjoy the feeling of needing to shit?
Probably, yes. The feeling of having a huge log ready to fire feels good. Normalgays wouldn't understand.
Not yet.

Samegay.
To add to this, they could have even made it take place in the Mafia universe and just called it a sister IP.

in the short term, sure
you get some mediocre sales (fare more than warranted) for a shit product, and kill a brand in the process

Yes he is a blonde 14 year old moronic kid.
