Always has been. While the graphics might be technically competent in various entries, the art style has been unfailingly hideous
Even back then I found characters like Snake, Dante, Samus, and Mitsuru to be attractive. Fuck even most Bioware characters look more pleasing to me than MK characters.

MK11 in HDR is the prettiest fighting game ever made. OP you are dead dead wrong. The only thing arguably bad about the visuals is the jerkiness of the dial a combos

Well since op is posting garbage opinions might as well post mine:

The only other way to play these games (especially the older arcade ones) is to just spam the same move over and over again. The AI for these games is dumb as your average snoy or cheaper than gas in the the late 80’s, there is no in between. You can play these games with someone else but it just becomes a game of mashing random buttons until someone wins. The community is also utter cancer producing the likes of DSP and other assorted failures that modern society has decided to reject.
Mortal Kombat was always fucking ugly. The franchise has always been about superior marketing.
