woke ass troony cinematic turd with the highest input lag in video game history

I noticed the wokeness (open world) so i reported them (Rockstar) to the United States Senate so we can get legislation to protect the children from brain decay. "Make stupid games win stupid prizes" was my opening.
As you saw, I take video games very seriously.

It's probably a hardware issue. Try turning down all of the graphics settings to a minimum, apart from 1080p, 60 FPS, max model settings, and X16 anisotropic filtering.

It's a good campaign. Worth a good sale price for sure. However the game is so story heavy and focused that I can't imagine replaying it unless you have a Boomer like obsession with Wild West media.

nobody should be replaying SP games that take over 6 hours to beat anyway. Life is way too short to replay 50 hour open world single player experiences.

There's so many other games out there that are just as good, or almost as good, and certainly better to experience for the first time rather than replaying RDR2 over again for dozens of hours. It's bot meant to be replayed and I'm worried about your mind if you do that.

Sure it's a good campaign overall but it can drag sometimes and the missions are basically movies, if you walk one step from the path set by the developers then it's mission failed, great open world though

The most exhaustingly tedious gameplay I've ever experienced

    >Chapter 1 is OK. Mostly a tutorial
    >Chapter 2 is kino and has the best camp
    >Chapter 3 sucks and goes on too long
    >Chapter 4 is kino but the writing starts to break down
    >Chapter 5 could be fine in another game but at least it's short
    >Chapter 6 is kino
    >Epilogue is neat but the final mission kinda sucks, even if it has the best track in the OST
It's fun but I could find stuff to compliment and complain about all day.

nah. endless story driven shit with repetitive gameplay. talk to npc, ride horse while someone talks, shootout with autoaim, repeat. the open world hunting and quest discovery can be neat but is marred by how shitty the core of the game is.

Before I learned that you could leave stuff on.your horse in the horse area, it was more like:
      >Arthur, why are you covered in blood? No, I can't see that perfect animal carcass that you're carrying to donate to the stew.

I dropped it at Chapter 3.
Once the novelty of the setting wore off and I realized most of the "immersshun features" can be safely ignored since they don't do anything, I tried to play the missions and every mission felt the same thing.
    >go follow a guy from your group
    >listen to a 3 min dialogue
    >shoot up some random enemies at the end
    >mission ends
    >return to camp
    >do it all over again
Literally the most uninspired mission design I've seen in a Rockstar game.
They didn't learn anything from GTA IV at all
I unironically had more fun playing poker than the rest of the game (too bad the stakes are so low, it's not worth it at all to really invest in it)

      Anonymous

It is pretty weird how low the gambling stakes are. You could play a whole hand of poker and win like $5 or you can shoot up any random stagecoach and get $50-$75 for less time. I thought maybe the stakes would change based on where you were but I don't think they do, really.

Also lots of missions rely on just turning off shit you can do, which pissed me off to no end.
      >try and play smart
      >game says no every time because the mission is actually a contrived reason for Arthur to get into trouble
      >or just because they wanted you to take at least 5 min chasing some rando
      >the sniper in the mission to confront Micah is just straight up immortal until you walk 20yd closer to him
      >the last fight of the game just turns Deadeye off and gives the boss instant transmission powers
Every time I'm about to get into the groove, Rockstar's mission design finds a way to step on my toes every fricking time.

Story wise the game is absolute ass, but the gameplay is fun enough

      >try your best to play the good guy cowboy and keep your nose clean
      >every camp companion quest requires butchering half a town
      >masks don't do shit so you're gonna spend a chunk of the reward paying off your bounty
Shit wasn't really well though out

        Anonymous

Not like there's anything to spend the money on except horses.
        >guns are all gated by story progression
        >can't use pistols because they float in the holster and ruin your look
        >if you're accurate then looting bodies is usually a net gain in ammo
        >if you can click on heads then the non-default ammo types are redundant
I basically lived off of Bill's bank heist for the rest of the game. Bought the blond horse in Saint Denis and was set.

          Anonymous

Split point ammunition is useful if you click on heads because it makes dead eye last longer, while express ammunition is useful for hunting animals with lots of health, such as big cats and bears.

            Anonymous

            Fair enough on split point.
I never felt the need for Express. Most animals will go down to a rifle round through the cranium either way. I think the only exception are the really big legenaries like the buffalo but I still never felt the need to bust out Express cartridges for them.

Granted, I never bothered hunting grizzlies so maybe there's something there.

They didn't learn anything from GTA IV (which had a lot of these same kinds of missions, and came out before RDR2), thus they could not make RDR 2 (which came out after GTA IV) better by not adding these kinds of missions. Any further questions, illiterate moron-kun? How about you don't call others brown when you're the moronic ESL/ameriBlack person?

    Sadie ruined the epilogue

      Anonymous

Sadie badly screws with any part of the story she shows up in. Doubly so since she doesn't even show up in RDR1, so all her screen time could have gone to ANYONE ELSE and the game probably would've been better off, narratively.

Charles has the same issue but he isn't an irredeemable frickup the whole game so it's not as fun to pick on him.

All of Dan Houser's stories are about betrayal. RDR2 was no exception. It was nothing amazing.

It's also badly crowbared into RDR2. Like, you didn't need Micah to be a rat. The gang was already fricked anyway. If anything it kinda takes away from the rest of the story.

It is extremely fun, but it is an extremely linear, story-driven game, so if you don't like that, then just stay in chapter 2 and mess about in the open world.
