Why are people in the youtube comments praising and fending the game? They talk like shills. Like this game so obviously looks like a random generic rpg that just happens to have Batman universe characters shoved in. The combat and animations are embarrassingly bad for a 2022 game. This looks lie a similar situation going from the Mass Effect trilogy to Andromeda in terms of a downgrade but this is even worse.
This looks good to normies and to me. Keep in mind that this board is a poor sampling of gameplayers as a whole. There are routinely long threads dedicated to titles with overwhelmingly positive review scores; Spider-man most recently.
But look at the dreadful animations and the weightless generic assassins creed rpg style combat and all the silly magic stuff and the bat cycle just appearing out of thin air

This is the worst UI in existence. They are slow, clunky, unintuitive and take a full screen. Also cursors on consoles is a fricking mistake and I want to kill the one that thought it was acceptable. Worse offender is holding A button to confirm. Worse even, when it's on PC (looking at you No Man's Sky).
Frick western UI design, there isn't a single good one. Elden Ring is doing it better while every western devs are crying about it.

It's not like Arkham didn't have it's padding(Niggler, a lot of the mission structure in Knight/City/Origins being filler repeats of some minor gimmick repeated a few more times than it should be) but RPG elements, loot systems and MMO systems will really turn the game into a chore if you attempt to engage with that shit.
