i played that shitty demo they released like two years ago and wrote them 20 pages each in engilsh and german about how shit the demo was for various reasons.

They took it back and have been remaking it ever since for a traditional approach. They got some of the old team in the meantime.

I'm actually willing to believe that the studio took the massive, EXTENSIVE negative feedback to the original demo to heart, and have put a lot of effort into trying to accomodate it.
However, I still believe that a company with THIS misguided ideas - not just about how a Gothic game should work, but how any game should work - has the capacity to get things right. Even with the whole fricking Gothic fanbase breathing down their neck at every step isn't going to result in a good game if the core studio really does not understand the subject matter deep down.
Not to mention, not even Gothic fanbase always understands what makes those games good. See idiots who praise NotR even today.
I would love to be proven wrong, but I have no hope for this remake.
