Max Payne remakes have already started production while Control is still in proof of concept. Remedy might be big enough now to have separate teams working on them though. Alan Wake 3 is definitely at least 6+ years away though
>he thinks there's gonna be an Alan Wake 3
Hate to break it to you but it's been 2 weeks. If the game were selling well they'd already be boasting about it by now. The best you're gonna get is a hasty wrap-up to Alan's story forced into Control 2 as a subplot or DLC.
It would be nice but AW2 literally only got made because of Epic money. AW1 sales didn't justify a sequel, it only got one because of Control's popularity. AW1 remaster for a long time underperformed, ironically it only turned around because of anticipation for AW2. As much as I'd like an AW3 I really don't think it's gonna happen, engagement levels even on the subreddit which is like the only place to discuss the game are low with most posts sitting under 200 votes (abysmal for a recent release).
I'm a fan too, but there's something comforting of the cold reality. And you're completely right. Video reviews from anyone not IGN haven't broken 200k views and most not even 100k.
The Chapter songs video is struggling to reach 85k.
One standalone song is just barely reaching 200k views.
If this was any other game. Either it would be going up faster, or already be where it needs to be. Game was simply an art project, paint splashed passionately. It's not a product. It was made for Sam and the people at remedy more than the videogame audience. Because the series was never THAT popular in the first place.
I hope for an Alan Wake 3 aswell...but I'm content with a Control 2, as that probably has better chance of success and honestly has more potential imo
>Max Payne 1 + 2 remakes are in production readiness stage >Project Condor (Control spin-off game meant to be 4 player co-op PvE) is in production readiness stage >Control 2 is in proof of concept stage >Project Vanguard (free to play multiplayer game published by Tencent) should complete proof of concept stage by the end of the year

It will be another 6-7/10 TPS that is VASTLY overrated by critics because it's like BRO DAVID LYNCH; HOLY SHIT I LOVE DAVID LYNCH and because there'll be one totally wacky out there sequence that is like... totally wacky bro! haha that was so insane and wacky!
A game that you will feel satisfied buying for 25~ bucks on a sale.
>it's like BRO DAVID LYNCH; HOLY SHIT I LOVE DAVID LYNCH and because there'll be one totally wacky out there sequence that is like... totally wacky bro! haha that was so insane and wacky!
Okay and? It's still good no matter how much irony and sarcasm you rely on to get by the day :p
David Lynch, Japan >:oooo this game is kino this game is art this is art this is kino art heckin wacky japan does it again!!!!
David Lynch, Finland >:~~*~~* this is so heckin cringy. Stop trying so hard you hack!!!
Oh shit. I watched this recently. And honestly, X-Files gives me more Alan Wake 2 vibes than Twin Peaks, although I admittedly haven't watched the 3rd season yet. But with the whole first episodes of X-Files with two literal FBI partners running through the forest with their flashlights and guns...investigating strange phenomena...I can't imagine it being more twin peaks and true detective rather than X files.
Of course, I also got Control vibes when they were in the FBI building, but more Alan Wake generally.
I still half can't believe they came up with the shadow enemies in Alan's sections. That takes genuine thought and understanding of survival horror and how your gameplay works, which is typically the fatal flaw of remedy, actual good enemy design.
But it makes sense when you realize that everything that's not the shadows, sucks dick.
>I still half can't believe they came up with the shadow enemies in Alan's sections. That takes genuine thought and understanding of survival horror and how your gameplay works
I don't get it, what's so good about them? The part where you can't tell which shadow is harmless and which can kick your ass?
I didn't finish the game, but so far the most pants shitting enemies were the wolves.
>I didn't finish the game, but so far the most pants shitting enemies were the wolves.
I'm sorry. I have very low patience for retards that aren't able to understand something even if they don't connect to it. Alan never gets any weapon like the cross bow, while Saga does, which once I realized the two shot the wolves, and got used to their dodge timings. I'm not as scared of them. But the shadows are an objectively more complex and unpredictable enemy, on top of Alan's way of dealing with them being more limited than Saga's way of dealing with her enemies.
There's also a very important ability they have that is objectively stronger and more threatening than anything else that any other enemy has. But the idea that you didn't consider that when saying what you did makes me thing you are SO stupid that I won't even mention it. Because giving you any semblance of understanding would force me to think of you as less stupid than I know you are.
when did this start anyways, not the game, but you in particular, your kind of poster
like this brand of retarded aggressive autism feels new to me, there were always autists and aggressive retards on this board but these days it feels like it's all distilled into concentrated nignog
I agree by the way, you're correct, just somehow more obnoxious than most stuff I remember scrolling past years ago
d-deep...I can't even comprehend it...it truly isn't a Sam Lake...it's a Sam Ocean
bravo :')
It's not even nonsense
>through a mirror inverted is made right
Mirror reversal is the "correct" state >Leave you insides by the door
Leave your soul by the door >push the fingers through the surface into the wet
Dive through the watery mirror portal >You've always been the new you >You want this to be true
The new mirror version of you was always the real you, and you want this to be a fact.
tbh it makes me think Essej and the mirror world will be more important to the Hiss overall in the future.
Hot Take: The service weapon is a very cool idea. Like the Master Sword or the KeyBlade.
Removing it in favour of more guns would be a loss of some of the game's identity. Either they should allow for seamless switching between gun modes on the fly. Or they should add a puzzle functionality gun mode. Or they should just refine the modes now and make them more like a set rougelike build that has synergy with certain paranormal powers. Or...just make paranormal powers less of a crutch so the gun can actually shine. Oh also, better enemy design.
More gameplay variety, or more puzzles, or both.
It's not coming out until after Max Payne remake so it's gonna be a 2029 PS6 launch title at best
>It's not coming out until after Max Payne remake
Is this actually confirmed? WTF? They must really need those robux...

AW1 and Control both sold slowly on release and eventually sold well because of long legs and good word of mouth. Hopefully that happens again

I haven't played the first but the girl is ugly so it's bad. If this one doesn't have a hot MC it's going to flop too.

Yikes.
Where is this image from? Concept art? Fan art?
It's official art that can be found on their website. Control 2 (formerly known as Project Heron) was announced a year ago.

garbage like the first
Remedy's combat is always so close to being good.

YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE NEW YOU
I still remember the reveal that Alan wrote the chant being really cool to me, really felt like a childhood gaming moment.
It definitely sounds like Alan's writing
I mean, I hadn't played AW for many years when I played Control.

>games have gotten so big and complex to develop you will only see a sequel every 7+ years rather than 1-2 years like in the 360 era
It’s over bros.
You can thank bloated budgets, oversized dev teams, and outsourcing for that.
Wtf, I thought Alan Wake 2 was a sequel to Control?
You retard
Listen, I replayed the first Alan Wake about a year ago and AW2 is much closer to Control in every single way than to AW.
