List is OK but out of date now. EU4 and CK2 are probably the easiest to start with.
Thanks. What some Grand strategies set it weird or fictional locations? I heard Alpha Centauri is pretty good.
the paradox games often have lots of mods, crusader kings 2 and i think 3 as well have a game of thrones mod

Hearts of Iron III, Victoria II and CKII are all great. Just play those.

Yeah, but it's a lot simpler compared to some other GS games.
It's pretty good if you want something more story focused with a fun MC and weird fantasy setting

It's worth checking out, but the gameplay's completely different compared to other grand strategies so it's not really indicative of what the genre's like. If you're looking for a typical grand strategy game EU4 and Victoria 2 are good starting points.
I recommend Victoria 2 with the latest version of Historical Project Mod, a sincere labor of love by a grand strategy enthusiast and the best mod available for the game:

I found CK 3 to be very accessible coming from no GS experience.
They are great, don't play them
Essentially you will sink hundreds (if not thousands) of hours into a map painting game
They can't be that bad
EU4. HOI4 with heavy modding. Hoi3. CIV games are the absolute best for beginners with DIV5 and CIV4.
