Plus more I’m probably not even thinking of.
I thought Sekiro was a step in the right direction, but that didn’t even get a DLC. Elden Ring is the most casual-pandering shit fromsoft has ever put out. If you go a full "META" build and use ashes the game doesn’t even present a remote challenge, and pvp is the worst it’s ever been. Is fromsoft officially beyond saving?
And before someone "AKTCHULLY"s me, and points out some of these were in some of the Souls games, yes I'm aware, but they were all implemented in far less forgiving ways, or in games that were overall much more challenging. Also to the people who say "jUsT dOn'T uSe It" for shit likes ashes: Wow, it's so cool and rewarding to have to purposefully handicap myself to get a challenge in a fromsoft game. Especially when I know far worse players are having an easier time with the same enemies by abusing the shit in the game.
It's just sad seeing fromsoft games devolve into trash that panders to the 'zoomer streamer' types who got filtered by the Asylum Demon.
Still harder than Dark Souls 1.
sure..
wow being a mage is finally fun, so horrible. just admit your a chuded out contrarian retard that hates fun.
>shows up extremely stacked to one of the easiest bosses
>"the game is actually easy guys"
Yeah okay bud
>shows up extremely stacked to one of the easiest bosses
>the game is actually ughhh...HARD
yeah makes sense lmao
Way to entirely miss the point Einstein. The fact you can even do it unbelievably retarded. And the webm anon posted isn't even a good example of this.
I've watched people two shot Melania with comically busted magic builds you can in this game (four shot, if you count phase two). She is supposed to be the most difficult boss in the entire game.
>defeats Gwyn with two parries
sorry, 1 parry
>Firestorm
>Hypermode dark bead
>Climax
ds3 magic sucks but you can still 4 shot most bosses with the right setup
Anon are you retarded? This is like someone showing a webm of tripping Iron Golem off the roof in Sens Fortress and going
>WOOOOOW LMAO YOU DON*T EVEN NEED TO ATTACK ENEMIES IN DS 1
>The fact you can even do it unbelievably retarded.
Being able to break games if you know how and choose to do so is an absolutely based design choice.
That said, I find people posting busted builds as proof that a game is easy to be annoying, your average player isn't going to construct a busted build on their first playthrough unless they specifically look up a guide, and at that point that player isn't looking to experience the game "as intended" anyway so it's a moot point.
I'm reminded that most people who picked up the Sword of Night and Flame didn't bother using it because of the weird stat requirement and thus didn't even realize how powerful it was until someone started posting webms of him two/three-shotting bosses with it here.
>two-three shotting bosses
Is the weapon still good or worth using in some way without it being retardedly OP?
>google "easiest elden ring cheese build"
>Wtf my game is too easy
You csn do the same in ds1
Is that supposed to prove that DS1 is harder?
You can kill every boss ds1 faster with magic, you don't need to use titanites to upgrade your staff and the bosses are all slow and predictable enough that you don't need someone to keep the aggro away from you
What happened anon? Ignoring arguments that you know you can't refute? Pathetic
Is that six or seven status effects? Not to mention using a spirit summon and a mage build. And people still pretend minmaxers are the average players.
Now try that against margit
Beat him first try. So easy..
nta but were we also not meant to beat Taurus Demon first try? I fail to see how beating the first boss first try makes the game look any easier than the previous games. I'd gamble a fair bit more players had trouble with Margit than Taurus Demon though.
Taurus's weakness was incredibly choreographed. Its entire purpose is to show players that there are different approaches to the fights. Meanwhile you can do to all bosses the same thing that was done on this webm
you used like 5 buffs, a summon, and two different spells
meanwhile DaS only has rollspam + r1 or shield + r1
think about that for a while
>chugs 20 buffs
>primarily uses magic
>summons spirit
Now try beating the same boss with a strength or dex build.
dex builds are very easy. Equip a katana with bleed and maybe frost and you win
>bro it's sooo hard...j-just do this and that and NOO you cant do this and don'ttt even think about doing thaaat doesn't count!
sure sounds like a real hard game lol
Playing as a magic class was always the "easy mode" in FromSoft games, stop pretending that Elden Ring broke the tradition.
summoning isn't even a magic build but i cant do that either..it doesn't count
But that's not really a boss.
damn casting is slow as shit now, is that how they nerfed it compared to earlier games?
Dex or certain talismans speed up casting
And that sword move he's doing is a charged attack from his weapon
>mini boss
>using magic
>using summon
>spamming weapon art
>this game is easy bro
LMMMMMAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOO
these are the morons posting on Ganker
>easy boss
>magic
>summons
>weapon arts
>"this game is haaard bro"
LMAO THESe are the people telling you Eldest Ringers isn't a cakewalk game on Ganker. Like did they fucking play it? lmao
>retard critical thinking skills
no one is saying that particular "boss" is hard. its not even a boss, its an enemy you fight in a lot of locations. they spawn repeatedly in mohgs area for example and are often found near certain churches.
The point, my monkey brained anon, is that showing yourself killing that "boss" and saying "this game is easy" is retarded because that boss is easy and you are pulling out every OP trick in the book to beat it. its laughable.
>game has all the tricks
>easy boss
>"haard"
lmao
never said it was hard you monkey brained retard
poise was passive in dark souls 1 and armor was ridiculously good.
Keep telling yourself that.
Not really, difficulty in DS1 did not come from bullshit enemies but rather from exploring a dangerous world, traversing unknown areas, finding out what to do in order to progress.
Meanwhile elden ring can be beaten by dumb normies by simply using the tools at their disposal, the game is just "travel from boss A to boss B, rinse and repeat"
>difficulty in DS1 did not come from bullshit enemies but rather from exploring a dangerous world, traversing unknown areas, finding out what to do in order to progress.
Is that why you morons where crying like toddlers about not knowing where to go or how to solve quests until Bamco forced FROM to include more map icons for your sorry asses?
Really, they should rename Ganker to /cl/ for you clowns alone.
Are you still posting this retarded bait? Holy fuck, go back r*ddit please you moron.
Lmao no, the most common way to die in DS1 is to fall off terrain because your foot touched an out of bounds pixel which initiated a glide down a pitfall.
Or accidentally roll when you meant to jump because having roll, sprint and jump all on the same input is great design.
No joke I'm pretty sure platforming attempts and deaths constitute the majority of deaths in DS1, not enemies or bosses. Hell, I bet The Great Hollow is responsible for more deaths than any single boss or enemy in the game.
I wish the other games had a death counter like the statue in DS2, I'm curious how much I died in the other games on my first files
Most of my deaths n ER were definitely from fall damage trying to jump down to places in the overworld
>I wish the other games had a death counter like the statue in DS2
No thanks. That was some reddit-tier cringe shit for all the retards who were obsessed with difficulty for the of difficulty.
It's why that game turned out so shit.
I just wanna see my own count retard
Then break out a notepad and start keeping tally retarded lazy fuck.
Seen some other action games have tracked that stuff and generally the most deaths are to the first standard enemy that's not just a random grunt
I wouldn't be surprised at all if the most deaths in DS1 were to a Balder Knight
This, in fact Elden Ring has the steepest learning curve of any FromSoft game after Sekiro. It's also the best FromSoft game after Sekiro so it checks out
dark souls 1 was easier and sekiro had no pvp
Your first point is low tier bait, second point is a good thing.
All of that withstanding my biggest beef is that the game is so effing long, that another play through doesn’t sound appealing at all.
Which is sad.. there’s so many play styles and weapons , ashes , etc I didn’t use this time around
You don't have to clear every single dungeon, dummy. Though check list of churches, tree spirits and minor nerdtrees is a fucking cancer.
I don't mind the length. It doe start to drag at times, but I like the worlds From is able to build, and I'd rather have the problem of too much, than too little.
It's all this extremely blatant casual-pandering that I listed that I find annoying, and catch myself rolling my eyes at. I almost wanted to refund the game when I found out 1v1 invasions are functionally no longer a thing. No, the gay taunter's tongue or whatever does not count.
>muh cheese that I dont have to use
DeS and DaS were full of cheese. I'd understood if you complained about copypaste, reskinned mobs and reused bosses, but you're just the worst type of grognard who spergs about hating irrelevant things.
Even complaining about reskinned/reused bosses is silly unless you say DS1 is no better, for the short length of the game there's reuse of stuff all over the place.
Like 4-5 bosses show up as normal mobs later ffs, Asylum demon is literally used 3 times as an actual boss in a game with under 20 bosses (DLC not included).
im stuck on capra demon someone help
playing through it right now, I dont understand the value of the open world. After a few hours you'll realize that it is actually that empty and stop exploring.
Oh look, another OP complaining about Elden Ring
>Oh no! Someone talking about video games... ON A VIDEO GAME IMAGE BOARD!!
Actually read the post, and go back. I literally already addressed this retarded logic.
>Actually read the post
No I won't do that, you're retarded if you think having the option of being challenged and not using it is a reason to complain. That's you being retarded, not the game
You are incapable of basic reading comprehension. I accept your concession.
You didn't refute my argument though, sounds like you're the one conceding
Not him but it's always a stupid argument. Fortnite is indeed the most hardcore and challenging game of all time if you just ignore all guns and weapons in the game but that doesn't mean you just pretend they aren't there when talking about the game design
>You didn't refute my argument
Your argument consisted of "no, you're retarded" with no actual core logic behind. Sounds like a concession to me.
>"no, you're retarded"
Well yeah you kind of are, why are you going out of your way (like two or three optional areas) to get a mimic? Why are you using it if you're not having fun? It's not the game's fault you're kind of slow
The entire board was nothing but praise for 4 months from release last year. You could not have a thread on anything else. It was the most unusable this place had been for such a long stretch of time.
That's what happens when a good game releases.
By that logic TLOU2 was one of the best games ever released.
It is.
Hating TLOU2 is peak redditor.
Wow. So true. TLOU2 > every FromSoft game combined.
You're good man, I believe you either way.
no this is genuinely fucking stupid i'm encoding it and hopefully it's below 200, if not i'm just uploading to youtube at this point
Kek, just upload it to garden gnometube my guy.
fucking christ that was not worth it at all
the quality is super shit
don't mind me and my friend talking
Elden Ring is as easy as you want it to be
>if I get a mimic +10 with rivers of blood 80 arc malenia isn't a challenge
Then don't do that, what's the problem here
Believe it or not it's called Elden Ring not Dark Souls 4
You should tell From that too
This fanbase is full of retards, replaying demon souls made me realize what I loved about those games, the sense of exploration and adventure. Bosses are supposed to be a puzzle you need to figure it out, they need to be connected to the area around themselves, they are not supposed to be infinite combo machines with 9999 attacks per second.
But sadly ever since Dark souls this fanbase has been ruined by tryhards, instead of being about being an adventurer, this game became about "le epic difficulty", completely missing the point of what made demon souls and dark souls so good.
I'm not calling for "difficulty for the sake of difficulty". Dark Souls 2 tried that and it was dogshit because of it.
Having a fuckton of easily abusable mechanics obviously a crutch for 'zoomer streamer' types who didn't even know a game called "Demon's Souls" existed until the remake, is what made this game ass.
>Bosses are supposed to be a puzzle you need to figure out
Literally name more than one boss in each game that can even charitably speaking be considered a "puzzle".
The thing I don't get about ER is despite all the ways you an break this game it still has some very annoying balance limitations that don't make any sense, limiting infusing to ashes of war is boring because half of the weapon pool can't be infused, and some weapons have no reason to not be infusable like the torchpole, also the ones that can be infused with ashes of war are much worse than the non infusable ones because somber weapons are just much better overall with the upgrade requirements.
Why would from put so much content in the game and then not allow you to play with it however you want.
>Quickly tap circle while locking on to an enemy
>Roll comes out half a second later
This shit bothers me so much. In prepare to die and ds1 remake, roll comes out instantly.
Roll doesn't "come out instantly" in any souls game. It comes out on button release because it's the same button as run. You're a retarded liar with rose tinted glasses.
Was just playing DS1 and it literally does.
>Great runes
And?

Who cares? I don't. I hate trannies too.
>Items that tell you exactly what to do with them in their descriptions
???
>Teleporters that let you skip entire areas
Most of the game is optional and can be skipped.
>More boss cheese in general than any other fromsoft game
Examples?
Stay mad.
>Featured in practically every souls game
Stopped reading here. You can contribute to this discussion when you've actually played a fromsoft game.
Sekiro is the only From game to have stealth. Aggro being a thing ≠ "stealth".
>Aggro being a thing ≠ "stealth".
It literally is.
It literally is not. Thank you for making it easy for us to all confirm you're retarded though.
>can walk behind the mob and backstab it
>NOOOOOOO, IT'S NOT STEALTH UNLESS YOU SQUAT IN THE TALL GRASS!
The reatard was always (you).
>Significantly weaker, stupid AI compared to actual summoned players, your point?
lmao this is absolute bullshit.
Tiche is better than a co-op summon in literally every scenario, massive free damage but the bosses max health is unchanged.
To get Tiche you need to beat Alecto without summons, if you do that you don't need Tiche to beat the game at all. If you use her it's because you don't want the challenge therefore it's your fault not the game.
A full year after release and you shazamtrannies still can't find a valid flaw in elden ring, maybe it is the best game after all
>Significantly weaker, stupid AI compared to actual summoned players, your point?
All your points are flat out wrong, but holy shit this is next level retarded.
>Doesn't make getting to where you have to go any easier.
Objectively wrong.
>99 Full moon grass was better?
Anon said flasks, not the one shitty mechanic from Demon's souls.
>Doesn't change anything
Your souls used to be locked in the boss room once you started a fight, unless you won or used a ring of sacrifice.
All in all on of the most retarded posts ever made on this board. It's actually amazing just how wrong you were about every single thing.
Samefag? Both utterly retarded posts that are completely divorced from reality.
Both read like they made by some r*dditor who has never even played the game in quesiton.
Souls games are not hard, after you get used to it's formula the challenge disappears.
Stop seeing these games as accomplishments instead of entertainment and move on.
The balance is also kind of silly
>ruins great sword + r2
Yay, you just turned the game into a Diablo clone.
I do really like the game, it’s just man, the balance is completely whack
L2. Shit.
>game has to be balanced to be fun
Fuck off.
Also if you go by "balance", colossal swords trivialize 90% of the game, so fuck off again.
You should be able to play the game normally without constantly having to handicap yourself to not completely ruin the difficulty. SotN has this problem too.
I agree that balance isn't that important in single player games, but it shouldn't be so bad that it's basically impossible to do a blind playthrough and not split the game wide open without even trying
Would you feel better if the game had a difficulty setting? Or would that feel like a "handicap" as well?
I would feel better if the game was well designed and the topic doesn't come up, like with most games
>I would feel better if the game was well designed
I have great news for you then
I guess Last of Us 2 is the best game ever made then
Nah TLOU2 was woke propaganda that's cheating, Elden KING earned the praise fair and square by being the best videogame of all time
This. ->
>NOOO THIS GAME IS DIFFERENT! MY LOGIC DOESN'T APPLY HERE!!
Kys moron.
>TLOU2 wasn't woke propaganda
You need to get good at coping, since getting good at Elden Ring is a lost cause
Then bitch about it, I guess.
Game's too easy for you, OP. You're too good.
I'm not OP
Your reading comprehension is also out of balance anon.
Why do anons have such selective reading skills, is it just an excuse to be completely snarky cunts for no reason?
>yes
He's upset the game is not balanced because one of the STRONGEST weapons (that is also legendary) makes the game less challenging. Not only that, to meet said weapon requirements you either have to be a vigorlet, be on endgame, or waste all trinket slots to get stats.
Also you go and point out I'm being "snarky" by also being a cunt.
Balance is a fun killer
Are people still crying about Elden Ring? It's been a fucking year.
Imagine being so retarded that you think you're not allowed to talk about vidya if they've been out for more than a week, on a vidya image board. Kindly fuck off and go back.
You seem to be afraid to have a discussion, since you've pathetically tried to protect your post from criticism in the second to last paragraph.
>NOOO! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO ADDRESS RETARD LOGIC IN YOUR POST!! You have to wait for autists like me to reply, and then reply to that!!!
Go back.
>RETARD LOGIC
>can't refute it
Not looking great OPsisters...........
>stealth bad
>Sekiro good
How the fuck do you breath? You are extremely mentally challenged.
ER is boring as fuck though, I give you that.
How do you breath? How are you so retarded that you can't grasp the concept that a mechanic might be good in one game, and not another. Did you see me bitching that ER didn't have deathblows or a posture bar?
Seriously, how do you even get the spoon of oatmeal your retard-handler makes for you into your mouth? How did you get permission to use the internet?
I see I struck a nerve.
>calls someone retarded
>complains when he gets called retarded
I also see you failed respond with actual logic.
The funniest thing about these webms is that if you watch a speedrunner, the fastest way to kill a boss is still primarily just whacking them with a stick
Despite all this talk about balance, builds, meta, whatever........
Doesn't Ganker like it when players can be broken?
Is this the daily "we pretend Souls games are incredibly deep and challenging and ER is not" thread?
Yes.
noooo you have to be a cool knight with only a great sword and shield who deal piss shit damage to a two headed dragon!!!11
Yes, it's part of the Elden GOTY mindbreak phenomenon
365+ days and counting of 20+ daily threads
Is the the daily "attempt to make a snide remark while being a retard who can't read" reply?
>
It's just sad seeing fromsoft games devolve into trash that panders to the 'zoomer streamer' types who got filtered by the Asylum Demon.
Did ER actually get goty? I thought GoWR stole it from us.
Elden Ring has the best ARPG combat yet made
Unfortunately, KH2 Final Remix still has the crown
I always see this
Should I really play a Disney game?
Unfortunately, it's fucking excellent. On proud mode, it can get a little bit janky, but that jank forces you to interact with all of the game's systems.
what are you hoping for in the dlc? i want some new shit for torrent like wings, charge dash, etc. also a spooky area with ghosts you need a gimmick to kill
At one point I thought I knew the answer to this but after replaying the game a bit, they really did flesh out most of the possible build paths you could take. Mostly more interesting physical only arts.
More dumb gimmick weapons with unique movesets
And hopefully have the DLC available early enough that you can swoop in and grab them and then get back to the rest of the game if you wanted
More FTH/INT weapons
More fists/claws
An Ash of War that gives an offhand parry weapon 12 frames
The ability to customize Torrent and its ability would be nice, yeah.
Morgott's holy weapons.
More access to int/faith scaling weapons and maybe a weapon that scales with all 5 stats.
Weapon and armor crafting.
New ending.
Giant shrimp and iron maiden spirit ashes.
>Morgott's holy weapons.
fucking yes. i was so mad when i saw they werent miracles/weapon arts
A couple of the Crucible Kinghts have moves you can't get as miracles or arts too
Like that spear guy in the capital with the teleporting grab
I just want it to be accessible during the early game. "Oh you want to use dlc equipment? Then beat the whole game or just finish the first dlc that contains enemies and a boss that have higher stats than the endgame enemies of the base game"
This reminds me of that time i wanted to make a Helphen's Steeple run but the thing is locked behind goddamn mointaintops and you cannot access the place before 6 obligatory bosses and a lot of content skipping.
More weapons with unique movesets
Cool armor (I'm don't care for most of the base game sets)
Scrapped Miquella ending
More Melina
I want an area of affect spell or incantation, or even a weapon art like knowledge above all that makes summoned phantoms and the host do friendly fire damage to each other.
That's all I want.
And all to have his name next to a famous author.
Based. All the seething zoomerfags only reinforce this.
poor joker was filtered by Margit.
I've beaten every souls game, and am arguing that the game is too easy. Yeah I totally got filtered by margit.
Go back weebgay.
For me, it's Blasmphemous Blade + Fingerprint Shield and Lightning Spear for sniping goblins.
chud thread
You forgot the worst thing
>Huge amount on content is within shitty indistinguishable dungeons with either pointless or gamechanging loot.
Very true. I actually did think of this and forgot to include it. The dungeons might have been cool if all the bosses were just stupid ass normal enemies given a boss HP bar for no reason, minus a couple encounters.
Only one I actually enjoyed were the ones with the insta-death chariots. Made for some genuinely interesting platforming.
I'm stuck in a cycle with Elden Ring.
I really want to get into the game but I keep getting bored and dropping things usually around Liurnia. Farthest I got was finishing Ranni's quest and dropping it right before the royal capital.
I spend a couple hours planning a themed build that I think might be fun to play, and then the game starts to feel like a boring slog to go through once I actually start to get the build together, and I then drop the game or restart with a new build.
Maybe it's a personal brand of autism, but I feel compelled to do the optional content. And having to waste time exhausting NPC's dialogue and tracking down all the dungeons through this dying world really puts a damper on the game for me.
Something about the combat feels off to me too but I'm not sure what. I feel like I'm leaving most fights unsatisfied compared to other From games, but I can't pinpoint why.
So there's big downtime between content of actually having to travel and find the content, as well as occasionally tracking down npcs and skipping through the dialogue, and then the content itself usually feels unsatisfying.
I know I could probably force myself to streamline the main parts of the game and make things more enjoyable for myself, but it's a personal hang-up that's hard to let go.
Anyone else just can't seem to get into the game and want to explain why?
Farthest I got was finishing Ranni's quest and dropping it right before the royal capital
>but I feel compelled to do the optional content
You finished Ranni's before you even made it to Leyndell..? Jesus christ you have turbo autism. Not even saying that as an insult or shitposting. I didn't even realize until now you could even do that.
>You finished Ranni's before you even made it to Leyndell..? Jesus christ you have turbo autism. Not even saying that as an insult or shitposting. I didn't even realize until now you could even do that.
Why? There's literally nothing that tells you to go to Leyndell before finishing it, same exact thing applies to Fia, You can pretty much get to level 131 and with a +24 weapon before even getting to Altus.
Fuck me. Meant to tag you, not myself for this. ->
As soon as you acquire any two great runes you literally get told very directly by Gideon Ofnir and The Two Fingers to go directly to Leyndell to meet Marika. Not getting two great runes before finishing Ranni's ENTIRE quest is is beyond getting insanely sidetracked.
I mean this all is matter-of-fact way, not even trying to be a dick or anything
>There's literally nothing that tells you to go to Leyndell before finishing it
As soon as you acquire any two great runes you literally get told very directly by Gideon Ofnir and The Two Fingers to go directly to Leyndell to meet Marika. Not getting two great runes before finishing Ranni's ENTIRE quest is is beyond getting insanely sidetracked.
I mean this all is matter-of-fact way, not even trying to be a dick or anything
I'm pretty sure you literally have to get at least two Great Runes in order to progress the quest
No, you only have to beat Radahn in order to progress Ranni's quest. You can beat Radahn without having beaten any other Great Rune boss.
you have to beat Rennala in order to get the engagement ring and get past Astel's arena
Well I can perfectly explain why you can't get into the game, fromsoft made an open world game with varying paths so that you don't have to do all the content and then you decided that you needed to do all the content.
A japanese man slaved away at that copy paste dungeon for 14 hours a day before returning home to his onahole, anon. I can't just ignore his sacrifice.
I wanted the moonlight greatsword so I beelined for it. Was sort of disappointed once I got it to, liked using my great epee more.
If I remember right I had three great runes by the time I finished Ranni's quest. Godrick's, Rennala's, and Radahn's. I went and did everything in Caelid before stepping foot in Atlus.
>I went and did everything in Caelid before stepping foot in Atlus.
By everything you mean "everything everything"?
Because Caelid has this weird pacing issue where some of its content is balanced around end of Liurnia and then you have some other that has insane levels of hp and damage and feels like it's scaled for mountaintops like the bell bearing hunter in the merchant shack and the godskin apostle at the bottom of the divine tower.
I think I did everything in the dragon barrow except for the bell bearing hunter. I know I went through the tower and killed the godskin apostle for sure though. I think I beelined for the tower right after I got Radahn's rune.
It's ALTus mother fuckers not ATLus.
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT >:(
>Maybe it's a personal brand of autism
>Dark Souls 2 posting
Yes
>Maybe it's a personal brand of autism, but I feel compelled to do the optional content
Yeah forcing yourself to do something the game doesn't require you to and you don't enjoy is a (you) issue, ER is still a masterpiece
I have got to Maliketh on 3 different characters and don't kill him because burning the erdtree literally tanks the performance of the game.
Assholes take advantage of that by spamming night maiden's mist and will make your game crash.
Thanks, now I know to do this. Play on low settings next time poorfag.
>469
have a nice day
???
Do you think you're some kind of hacker expert because you can read filename? I downloaded that shit from google images you dumbfuck chud.
>If you go a full "META" build
so don't do that
Read op. This retard logic was already refuted.
not looking up the strongest build online and just using what you think looks cool or is fun should be your standard practice

>If you go a full "META" build and use ashes the game doesn’t even present a remote challenge
So like every other souls game
>AKTCHULLY"s me, and points out some of these were in some of the Souls games, yes I'm aware, but they were all implemented in far less forgiving ways, or in games that were overall much more challenging
lmao no they weren't, all it takes to trivialize ds1 is to equip a shield and circle behind enemies
>Great runes
>Completely inconsequential
Not even gonna bother reading the rest of your bullshit when you tell outright lies like this.
Wtf is "inconsequential" about activating a rune arc, and having every single stat boosted by like 5 points? Do you realize how many free levels that equates to?
You retarded gays are either just genuinely fucking stupid, or have never even played this game. Probably both.
>first rune you get
>also the best rune in the game
why would they do this.
Circles back to what the op said. Making the game as casual, autistic zoomer-friendly of a game as possible.
This game has the illusion of difficulty, so they go back to their friends at school and brag that they beat, like it was some kind of accomplishment.
kind of dumb IMO, you have a pretty cool mechanic, beat shard bearers get abilities that you can powerup, great.
but by making the first one also the best one, there's no real reason to use anything else
so what's the point.
Later when you're near softcaps on stats Radahn's or Malenia's will probably do more for you
The great runes are pretty imbalanced in general though
You'll outlevel it's usefulness.
It's the single most powerful item perhaps in any souls game ever until you hit like level 200. And even then, it's still extremely powerful and good.
Idk why the fuck you're trying to pretend like Godrick's rune isn't insanely powerful.
Then just switch to Morgott's for free HP
>Western devs STILL seething about Elden Rang
Why do they so?
Because it rejects their open world formula, pozzed storytelling and "muh diverse" characters.
post your best Elden Memes
Is it even worth invading at level 50?
How do you even go around the assholes with end game armor and weapons?
level 60 invasions are fun
>articles and posts praising ER's open world for being revolutionary and "not another Ubisoft check list simulator"
>ER is the exact same check list simulator, it just doesn't have the HUD screaming at you where to go and what to do
>unfinished areas
>copy pasted dungeons, enemies, and bosses become apparent pretty early on in the game and only gets worse
>loot is absolute shit, usually a smithing stone or a flower
>suddenly one enemy will drop an entire armour set
>game is only mildly interesting the very first time through, but even then it got boring very quickly except for a few "wow that looks pretty cool" moments
>boss fights are pretty good but a lot of them also feel unfinished or like they were bosses from other games that got cut
this might be the most overhyped game I have ever played, it feels half-finished and like they wanted a huge map but had nothing to put in it.
did FromSoft really just make DeS & DaS and then forget how to make good games? did they just get lucky?
Also valid points that I agree with. The idea of a big souls-style world is cool, but it feels like they did just so they could slap "open world" on the box for all the r*dditors to coom over.
The recycled dungeons, reused bosses, reskinned enemies, etc. are all symptomatic of this.
>Open world!
>Dungeons full of loot!
>Those mean invaders (who I always make sure to downvote) cna't invade me unless I have a butt buddy now!
>GEORGE R MARTIN!!! (He is better than Tolkien)
>Heck yeah! Updooted!! Take my reddit silver!
>playing souls games
Fromdrones are so fucking brain damaged that they spend more time fighting each other than the people that dislike their shitty games. Then you have that one sect of shitboxers that think ER as an exclusive when there isn't even any pvp players on their dying platform. This genre just breeds cancer.
Dark Souls always had modifiable difficulty. See: drake sword, black knight sword. You could always summon NPCs for boss fights. You could always overlevel or use busted weapons.
Also dark souls isn't hard and never was. Only a couple bosses.
What's your problem? There was always an easy path in the souls games whether by a certain weapon or magic or just summoning online phantoms. ER just gives a ton more options. But there's also a million ways to make it harder or more interesting if you want. You need to learn to make your own fun. If the game's too easy then make a more modest character and you'll find you might actually NEED your spirit summons which is great. More variables, more fun and still challenging. I like to theme my spirit ash choices with my character and refrain from using any others.
I think you just want the Souls games to be an impossibly hard Shadow of Colossus and eliminate all the choices and fun so you can grind it out and sit on a throne
>worst pvp
Nobody who has played Souls and actually pvpd would say this after we've come so far from DaS1 backstab gymnastics. And in all Souls games like 90% of single invasions were afk at the bonfire. Based taunter's tongue eliminated that problem
>What's your problem?
I stated my problem pretty plainly.
>You need to learn to make your own fun.
Retard logic which I already addressed.
>I think you just want the Souls games to be an impossibly hard Shadow of Colossus
Never even played that game, and straw man harder gay. I want exactly what I said I want: FromSoft to stop pandering to casuals in zoomers in their fucking games.
>Nobody who has played Souls and actually pvpd would say this after we've come so far from DaS1 backstab gymnastics
Wow how convenient that you can just dismiss anybody who criticizes ER pvp as someone who "never PVPd in Dark Souls", all because you cite one shitty bug/mechanic. Straw. Man. Harder. gay.
>in all Souls games like 90% of single invasions were afk at the bonfire
Now I think you're the one who's never played a souls game. Go back, chud.
I've been replaying all of ER now when the last time I played it was when it came out.
The game has a mistaken identity, IMHO. The player character players and feels like a Dark Souls game, where as every enemy and boss is more suited for a game like Sekiro or BB. They are all fast as fuck, never let up, have fast reads and tells, etc. All the while you have to trudge around like a fucking retard all game, drink your from your sippy cup for 8 years while the enemy anime attacks like 20 different times, and your one weapon swing takes so long that the enemy can dodge it 3 different times before you even finish attacking for a second time. And I'm almost not even being hyperbolic.
I think if the PC was faster and more agile like in Sekiro or BB, with your roll becoming more of a dash (or just replacing it with bloodhound step entirely), and you did every action faster (such as standing up faster if you get knocked over, drink faster, etc) and it took you over all less stamina to do anything, the game would be 100x better. You are just fundamentally at odds with everything the game throws at you because of how slow you are in comparison to how swift everything else is. If I knew how to mod, honestly I'd try and make a total conversion for the game. But I have no experience and wouldn't even know where to start. I just think that the game could be SO MUCH BETTER with these changes.
I BEAT MALENIA WITH AN UNDERLEVELED +23 CLAYMORE
ON THE WRONG BUILD
ON A KEYBOARD
WITHOUT BLEED
WITHOUT FROSTBITE
WITHOUT FIRE
WITHOUT MIMIC
WITHOUT SLEEP POTS
WITHOUT SPELLS
WITHOUT HEAVY ARMOR
I HEREBY PROCLAIM THAT THIS GAME IS PURE UNFILTERED FUCKING GARBAGE AND SOIAZAKI SHOULD DISBAND GOYSLOPWARE IMMEDIATELY
Based if real. Parry her much?
nope, claymore only, as the forefathers intended
can upload winning try to catbox if you're interested but first phase didn't record
Why not, I'm interested. She's an annoying cunt of a boss, but anyone can be learned and beaten. Always good to see people beating bosses without leaning on every available crutch.
i'm retarded and didn't realize catbox has a 200mb limit, coming up in a bit after i render it again
>but they were all implemented in far less forgiving ways,
what is this retard cope? r1 spamming and face tanking the boss was easiest in dark souls 1. if you want to do the same thing in ER you have to time it right with your endure weapon art or use consumables.
>If I just pick out one thing, ignore everything else, and call it "retard cope" I win!
>r1 spamming and face tanking the boss was easiest in dark souls 1
Complete and utter lie, unless you're retardedly over-leveled and donning Havel's armor or something. Which is what you probably did.
im so fucking tired of the waiting
there's barely any games to play (good ones), and i've almost finished my DS3 run and DLC is still not out
holy fuck, just release it already
it's been months since i've played ER so i already forgot most of the stuff, i can't wait to replay it..
make webms using OP stuff in dark souls 1 to show people who say elden ring is the easiest souls game.
You can play any way you like. You can choose to play casually, overlevel, and cheese, or you can choose to stay low level, unupgraded, not use broken weaps, etc. Its buffet style, and also GOTY
What even is the point of these daily threads?
It would be one thing if people disliked the game and talked about that when it came out, but every single day we get the same threads with the same complaints and the same webms as examples of why ER is so bad and awful and whatever else they want to say it is.
The game is literally just a bigger dark souls, anyone saying that it's too different is just being a contrarian
More than just shitposting, the level of hate some people have for the game go beyond normal.
Welcome to Ganker
Seething about popular games for years on end is what we do here
>What even is the point of these daily threads?
This is the first thread I've ever made about Elden Ring.
Sorry I have a job and a life outside of a shithole image board, and don't constantly monitor this board to make sure other people haven't made ER threads in several days like you clearly expect me to.
You morongays act like "daily threads" are the problem, when in reality it's you insufferable mongoloids who bitch and moan about threads for simply existing that are pure cancer.
If you dumbfucks don't like these threads so much like you claim, then don't fucking click on them you mental midgets.
