9/10 game but I think I liked the atmosphere of RDR1 more. I liked how it had a classic western setting with a lot of spaghetti western themes which RDR2 was missing, the game spent too much time in not-louisiana for my liking but that's my only real complaint.

      >doesn't have good gameplay
      >is literally a poorly paced, poorly written, poorly shot movie

RDR1 had a better story. When you start the second one, you pretty much figure this guy is going to die since he never appears or is mentioned in the first game.

Arthur is mentioned in the first 10 minutes of RDR1.

"You forgot far more important people than me" that's the only reference you could link to him in the game

    >I think people don't like this game
    >I'm going to make a bunch of gay statements to "trigger" them

How does it feel to have people read your thoughts anonymously online when you thought you were steps ahead of them?

Not everyone thinks like an autistic sociopath like you. I love this game and I think it's the greatest game of all time and Arthur is my favorite character of all time. Even trying to process the thought that someone could be triggered by any statement about a videogame well, that's your problem feller. Especially some benign opinion like what they think is their favorite game.

Beat it way back when it first came out. Worth a second playthrough now?

There's probably a ton of stuff you missed in your first run, so yeah.

NTA, is it fun playing low honor or should I go high honor again?

I did almost all high honor decisions so I couldn't tell you, to me it feels like one of those games where low honor is you just acting like a prick or having to go out of your way spree killing civilians so it didn't really interest me.

Also, I think I sped through it going from objective to objective without chilling out with sidequests

You missed a ton of stuff then, you could spend ages out in the wilderness finding cool new locations or strangers to interact with.

    >Greatest character of all time. Greatest story of all time
    Agree.
    >Greatest game of all time
    This is very debatable.

I used to think that but if the game has the best character and story and the gameplay doesn't stop you from playing the game, then how can you say it's not, holistically the greatest game of all time. It's not like the gameplay is bad, it's different and tries to strike a balance between simulation and arcade which filtered most of the midwits.

Gameplay is the most important part of a game.

Yeah, i'm not really sure. With time we are gonna be able to tell what makes a game the greatest.
        The medium is very recent.

Why did we allow brits to write a western story? It's full to the brim with hatred towards the united states and any honest man trying to make a living.

Arthur isn't a particularly great character, but his interactions with other characters (especially Dutch) are fantastic.

I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece, (Cuba section, overly Linear quest design where if you deviate from the ideal way to play it at all you get a GAME OVER, and have to restart), but it's a solid game. I liked it.
