Just realized I quoted the opening wrong, but to be fair they did a different dub for every version and port of the game, which was fucking absurd to me as a kid. I'm sure there's some kind of technological limitation I don't know about.
Struggled for years as kids, find out as adults you can farm crazy amounts of gold at the easy as fuck spider boss. Do it and steamroll the rest of the game.
I played Legends immediately before my playthrough of Dark Legacy, and while it was really cool to see the first Mountain stage in both games, it was weird that the stage was so much smaller in DL
I loved playing this game with friends back when. I actually think about it every now and again. I wonder if it holds up and why more like this haven’t been made.
I had a lot of fun replaying it a couple months ago, the levels in the game had great theming. I think nobody bothered making anything like it due to its arcadey nature being antithetical to modern game design.
each version has a bunch of weird inconsistencies but I think the GC one is the best version overall since it lets you activate / deactivate powerups to preserve their timers, in the PS2 version the timer just drains as soon as you buy them or pick them up. emulation should be fine
This game had an unbelievable amount of SOVL
SOVL
Based Dark Legacy thread
For me it was always Red Jester
>"IN AN ANCIENT TIME, THE EVIL MAGE GARM, USING THE POWER OF THE RUNE STONES, CAST A GREAT EVIL UPON THE LAND"
Kino. Skorne was a badass villain. The final fight against Garm was shite but neat in concept.

batter up batter up batter up
This was one of the comfiest games I've ever played.

I remember doing this back in the day too, but I don't know if I came up with that idea myself or if I got it off of gamefaqs.
I'll freely admit I got it off of gamefaqs and I regret nothing. Game is bullshit start to finish.
Anon the game wasn't that hard
Fuck you the grind they wanted from you was obscene.
Nowhere close to being the best song. The fucking church organs in Skorne's boss theme were NUTS.
I just skimmed through the OST and holy fuck there are some bangers.
It starts with pretty standard fantasy tracks but goes so off the rails near the end, in a good way.
pure kino
For me? It was the Blue Warrior and Dream World
I always played Blue Wizard on the Legends cabinet at the mall.
It's a damn shame they've never re-released this game with online co-op.

If your friend plays Archer or Jester you are legally allowed to punch them in the face for stealing all the kills
Nah you're legally allowed to punch them for the voice lines
BATTER UP

Now that's a game that could have a source code leak.
I've only played the og and the PS4 version. I love how the dungeon master just serves to talk shit.
YOU ARE NOW ENTERING
THE DRAGON'S LAIR

This shit is basically unplayable after you've experienced something like Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance. Ugly and shitty game.
ccringe
Having friends to play with might as well be a requirement for this game. I tried playing it by myself, and I got burnt out quickly.
Why yes, I am a BLUE DWORF enjoyer, how can you tell?
which was the best version of this? which emulates best?
