thank you for repeating that but why

You can't sideload apps on iOS so there was no other way for them to play it on their phone.

okay I get that but why spend thousands of dollars on a mobile game

Considering the previous point, an iphone with the game on it became a collectors item. A sort of preservation for the original game on original unmodded hardware.

alright... but considering more than just one arbitrary thing that basically nobody cares about, why

this, you can sideload as long as you pay a developer's fee and the app is authorized by apple

I'm sure there are plenty of people with the apk to mirror it. Someone even used ACE in Super Mario World to inject the source code into the game.

      No one cares about iOSfags

Android fags are literal morons. A recent poll showed that 26% of android users are black followed by Latinos at 16% and finally whites at 12%.

That's because Android phones aren't depreciated after a year and intentionally sabatoged software-side to force an upgrade. Poorfags and third worlders can use the same old phone they've been using for the last 10+ years with no issue.

no, because the apple store wouldn't give a shit about that
it was taken down because the original creator had a meltdown over some random shit and deleted it to escape his fame

He had a meltdown because he went from being dirt poor peasant in dirt poor peasant village to rich fuck in dirt poor peasant village being accosted by his friends, family, the local mafia, and the local government for money

The actual reason was because the guy felt extremely guilty over all the people getting addicted to the game. He realized his creation led to millions of hours of wasted productivity. A weapon of mass distraction, if you will.

at one point people need to realize humans are not automatons and that not being productive 100% of your "work" hours is not abnormal

The way I remember it, it was more about the hate he received for making the game.
Imagine some shitty MSpaint comic you made in 3 minutes got hung in the Louvre somehow, and you started receiving death threats.

It was a three way attack. The hate, all of the attention he was getting and the fact that he was getting a large amount of money in a poor country.

I've dropped my phone hundreds of times and it's still perfectly intact. If you drop an iphone a couple millimeters, the whole screen shatters.

I don't get why this is pushed because it has been more common now in 5 years that most phones running android don't even have removable batteries.

The only mobile delistings I'm kind of upset about are Monster Hunter Explore (never got to try it and it has monsters and a weapon unique to it) and Afterburner Climax (it was the only official way to play it outside of finding a cabinet anymore). I still have the latter installed at least.
