fingertip grip, palm rests on mouse pad

Exactly, your palm is the fulcrum that gives your grip its stability. God Forbid you need to move your cursor outside of that range though, best to just find a sweet spot with sensitivity.

Oh so that's why some glide pads and such is being shilled - some people are putting their entire hand's weight on the mouse itself?

It must be amon women, because there's no way a man can rest his whole palm (or even most of it) on a typical modern mouse.

        That's just not true.
I have always used palm grip and my palm fits on the mouse just fine.
In fact I once got a mouse that was on the bigger side due to having a bunch of extra side buttons and had to stop using it because it was too big for my hand, I couldn't reach the buttons properly without having to constantly adjust my hand position.

I rest the back of my palm on the desk-mousepad and i dont feel any tireness, been doing it since forever and worked many hours like that and never had an issue.
Keep the back of the palm down for precision and lift it for long movements.
Also i put my thumb and ring fingers way higher than that pic...

Most FPS performance will come from the aimbot(s) you are running. Grip will have only a minimal impact.

Ya this matches my experience, people who care about mouse grips are mostly amateurs who don't understand that choice of external softwares is 90% of what makes a skilled gamer

I don't any fps games, so I needed to experiment for a bit to give you the proper answer. Turns out I use the fingertip grip. Palm grip on a G502 would be a nightmare since the mouse's body protrudes at my palm's bones.

i've got a bad case of ogre hands so i've been doing claw grip my entire life. The upshot is that my aim and click control are good. The downside is that after decades of this it's become my hand's natural resting position and so now it hurts all the time and is basically a deformed crab pincer for all non-mouse related tasks.

Fingertip but my middle finger is constantly levitating above the scroll button. It's not tiring at all, I use the lightest, wireless mouse I can find and put it to a pretty high sensitivity so I can move as far as I want without pulling my palm/wrist off the table.

Fingertip grip but my palm is at rest on the mouse pad. The mouse is also slightly tilted, around 15 degrees to the left.

Basically, all the vertical/horizontal movements are done by the fingers

The downside of palm gripping is that you can only aim with your arm and your wrist, you can't get fine adjustment with your fingers.

  25. 4 weeks ago

I use a hybrid palm/fingertip grip. Palm most of the time but for small movements, I lift the back of my hand, making it so that only my middle finger knuckle and fingertips grab the mouse and use that to adjust precisely.
    I don't know if I'm a freak or genius.

Palm grip ofc. Everyone who says otherwise is a zoom zoom who had a streamer tell them they will perform better if they grab the mouse in some other gay way. And if you accidentally bought a mouse made for women or children go trash that shit and buy a mouse made for grown men

    really depends on your mouse
ergo mice palm is typically more natural
ambi mice it's either half palm/claw or full claw
i can't imagine finger tip unless the mouse is absolutely tiny
recently tried out a DeathAdder v3 pro and viper v2 pro, very different shaped mice with the same internals, deathadder was definitely full palm at all times whereas viper was relaxed claw
i ended up keeping the viper cus it was almost as comfy but noticeably superior for quick flicking in fps due to the lower profile and symmetrical grip

Palm grip, kind of. I hold the mouse in like the left half of my hand (make a german three with your fingers) and the rest slopes of onto the mousepad. Never really thought about it before but it is unorthodox now that I think about it.

grip doesn't mean shit just have a good mousepad, a light mouse w/ skates, high fps setup and also work out your arms and wrist, make sure you stretch a lot
