Toxic should've unironically only been learned by poison types, then spread out to the select few who's Pokedex descriptions give them enough leeway to learn it. Giving it to nearly every mon was a mistake.

I really hope they just straight up prevent you from using them entirely in all battles next gen. That would force Smogon to actually follow the distribution nerf for Toxic.
This almost threw me until i saw the BSS meaning it has to have the battle mark so it has to lose Toxic for not being in the gen 8 moveset, It can still have it free battle etc
It doesn't learn it on its own volition. Only if its owner forces it to.
Any medicine in too large of an amount to Andre, can become Toxic.

Gen IV moves are a mistake
Wide generic movepools in general were a mistake. Movelists were an excellent balancing tool. Giving everything and their mother reliable 80-95 power stab overwhelmingly swings the pendulum to favor high BST pokemon.
