      Nothing is fricking nice.
I will never forgive them for so casually changing the fricking genre itself of the game. Sneaky shits were too lazy to actually deliver even half of what they promised when they went to interviews and talked like excited kids about what they're gonna have and how, in their words, it's gonna be a "true tabletop rpg I'm video game form". They gave up on that and just made a basic shooter.
And they fricking knew it. They didn't think they were making an rpg and this is what came out. Shitheads knew. Just a couple of months before release they changed their thing on twitter from "roleplaying game" to "action-adventure shooter". And that was the only thing they did, they didn't make any sort of announcement, they didn't let people know.
Worst of all it worked. People were so distracted about the bugs that they ignored they marketed it for years as one genre but sold another. They were allowed to memory-hole it. And because of this now the sequel is gonna be just this also: a basic run-and-gun. Life paths won't matter, you won't be able to be a certain something, you won't be able to actually make a name for yourself and have the world react to it appropriately, your choices to do the jobs given will still be go kill thing loudly or go kill thing quietly.

Did they really improve it though? They fixed some of the bugs and updated some of the talents but at its core it's still a disappointing game. Not the high level roleplaying experience everyone desired but a shallow cutscene driven action game.

      >improve it
For fricks sake there is no fricking way for them to improve it without completely overhauling the entire fricking game. The most egregious design choices can't be fixed:
      - Origin doesn't matter
      - Zero non-railroaded quest outcomes past the title card drop (yes that fricking includes the politician one)
      - Failure to actually railroad Johnny's interactions with you so you don't tell him to frick off one moment and then go record shopping with him the next

The psyop that's been attempted the last year or two years to fake the game into something that was actually praise worthy is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in this industry. At the end of the day it released in a completely unacceptable state, we know that they lied and showed fake gameplay for years at conventions and they suppressed reviews around release to hide the state the game was in. Anybody who's okay with those three things deserves to have their face pummeled into the ground. I would put this dev at the top or the very near the top of the most disgusting devs on the planet right now

I think I would have preferred set piece missions over the Open World if it meant the Engine vould be optimized to show large crowds.

It was never bad to begin with besides the bugs which seemed to have been fixed and the thing is most of the complaints were about the bad graphics on the old gen consoles not on the PC the PC port was amazing except for alecca said all the really game-breaking bugs which yeah it's showing how happen but the game is playable now
