      what does this mean?

i'm not sure either, i feel like you could say the same thing about almost every game lol. the only weird thing would be if it weren't consistent

not OP but i agree with his point
        >pixel-art overworld
        >battles use pencil-sketched characters and enemy portraits
        >some scenes have real human eyes and hands.
it all looks great, but i understand why it would like the art style is clashing

i'm fairly certain multiple games have made me cry but it's hard to remember which ones. mother 3 did at the end iirc. i think chrono trigger did with some lucca scene but i forgot. shadow of the colossus did at the ending cutscene. world of warcraft did because i was watching some old videos of it and the nostalgia hit me like a train. i started during burning crusade when i was 7 years old

Telltale's The Walking Dead made me cry twice. This scene from Omori didn't make me cry, but it did hit me like a bag of bricks.

my problem with omori is it just feels too forced. i'm not sure how to describe it any other way. it feels like this elaborate attempt at making something "deep" that just doesn't hold together. and i also felt like the art and the story were the only "good" things about the game. the actual gameplay was extremely forgettable to me.
