I am not even a Nintendo fan but this full priced standalone DLC came years later and does a lot of new things. CoD has a brand new game every single year that's largely the same and they have mtx and lootboxes that don't carry over. This is not even closely comparable.
it's not that they did anything impossible, but they did things that other devs will shy away from because it's prone to issues, and they did it flawlessly in a fully open world game

literally wtf? Are nintendo cucks this retarded?
>Such as?
Chains and rope maintaining sanity at all times without vibrating through objects. Everything in TOTK behaving like the player expects it to, even even horrendous vehicles slapped together, is a feat.
If that is the bare minimum, you have pretty much no other choices at all.
Gmod for example constantly vibrates and shoots physics objects into the sky.
>Gmod for example constantly vibrates and shoots physics objects into the sky.
Yeah, because in garrysmod it is absolutely trivial for the player to apply insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously, so of course it's easier to make things spaz out. You can just as well constrain objects in a way that they act reasonably and simulate that same behavior.
>and not a technological marvel.
The stability of its physics modeling is a technological marvel when every modern game still has the "ragdolls exploding" issue.
Sorry, are we really sucking nintendo's dick because it took them 6 years to make sure ragdolls don't explode? So what if they explode? I laugh at it and move on, but they can save 4-5 years of development time. Is it really worth it? Rethroical question.

>in garrysmod it is absolutely trivial for the player to apply insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously, so of course it's easier to make things spaz out
applying insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously is a basic option players have in TOTK and everything maintains it's sanity. All physics behaving predictably in TOTK is so core to the design that the player can reliably figure out how constructions in the game work by observing the effects or even by being told what the effects of something someone made were. Players can reliably reverse engineer things by hearing vague descriptions just like a person can in real life.
>but they did things that other devs will shy away from
Like selling a slightly altered version of a full price game for full price just a few years later. Haven't seen that shit since SotFS.

Is it true adult men who play Nintendo switch games laying in bed or out in public also really like cuck porn? I've heard this is true, I want to verify
>music quality is basically the same >story is just as bad or worse >exploration is the same (arguably worse because the map is reused and not changed drastically enough to make it fresh, plus the new underground area is only good in small bursts and the floating islands are largely copypasted) >gameplay is improved due to new mechanics >enemy variety is improved >performance is lacking >dungeons are still lame
totk had all the tools for success and just made a game that was a little better than botw instead of something way better like it should've been
I find it hilarious how the story is genuinely terrible, but fans get pissy if you ask to skip it. Heaven forbid I not be subjected to the intro where you just walk down a hallway, fight some trash keese mobs, and then job to ganon in a mandatory cutscene.
i played the game and finished every single shrine and every single cave
the map is not changed drastically enough to make it fresh, putting rubble everywhere is not enough to change the overall shape of the space you move through
Stop talking shit. There isn't a single area in the game which hasn't been drastically altered from BotW, with new content and gameplay ideas packed into everything.

By tutorial, do you mean the tutorial for basic controls and gameplay mechanics? Or do you mean the tutorial for exploring the depths? Or the sky islands?
Why are you surprised that a game as big as totk has multiple tutorials? More importantly why are you assuming the entire map is littered with tutorials when you would know it's quite literally the opposite if you actually played the game?

By tutorial, I mean braindead part of the game that exists solely to teach players something through forced exposition, or a challenge that requires no thought. You can flaunt the game's supposed complexity all you want, but if it needs these tutorials shoved all around, then clearly the game is shit at explaining the mechanics naturally. A player should be able to figure out how to play the game without a single tutorial. Even Ganon is a tutorial fight, since he doesn't move and just lets you kill him, and he's the final boss.

Anon, if you played the game you would know there are plenty of koroks that require you to traverse sheer cliffs or fly across large rivers or chasms to reach the end destination. And even then for the ones where you can technically just walk to the end point it would still be much, much more efficient to just glue him to your horse's towing gear or just use the conveniently available parts right next to them to make a plane or cart.
Having any knowledge of this would require you to first play the game past the starting area though, so it's understandable why you didn't know.

I built the logs into a 5x4 cube and put wheels and a driving stick on them and then drove the whole load to the village and it was more fun than I've had in a triple-A game in years.
The exploration in totk is automatically better than botw because they greatly expanded vertical movement options. The main map is still new for anyone that dropped botw 10 hours in due to repetitive 'slowly climb mountain, then jump off mountain' core gameplay loop.
It has ten bosses and around 20 unique enemies, and that's including shit like keese. That's shit even by the standards of the gamecube games, let alone modern competition.
It is, barely, and I never argued otherwise. BotW was indeed even worse in terms of variety. Though it did have guardians, which were better than any enemy in totk.
I honestly don't understand how most Nintendo games can exist in the current era. Take Pokémon: the games are so soulless and broken nowadays, and yet people keep on slurping them up anyway before paying for a second version that really should've just been included in the first. It's bizarre.
>I sometimes wonder if we all died and this is some kind of magical realm because...
...the israelites keep on pushing racemixing yet somehow I don't have a fat-assed choco gf
my only problem with the story is how theres no guardians, either to fight or on the hylians side after dr sex glasses messed with them.
i dont pay enough attention to the 'actual' story to get mad about timeline inconsistencies, but theres definitely some crap that confused me which ive already forgotten.
In my opinion, they should have put guardians in the depths as rare enemies, playing around with their locations as they were in breath of the wild. They could have sheikah parts that allow for shooting guardian beams with fuse at the cost of zonai energy (scaling with the amount of time / energy you charge it for)
I wouldn't even "explain" why sheikah tech disappeared, I would have hinted at it directly.
When a guardian is defeated, instead of exploding, when the gloom leaves it, the guardian collapses for a few seconds before disappearing into blue teleportation light after a short time.
Lore people would love it.
This is one thing that Nintendo needs to get better at, being vague enough that it's difficult to find fault with it, but specific enough that it gives people something to grasp at and feel like everything was intentional. It's fromsoft's forte.
This exact thread again? I don't know what you expect to achieve, the flavor of the month has passed.
But it does afford me another opportunity to ask: What EXACTLY about this game makes it so implausible? What makes its existence difficult to understand?
>Huge three-tier seamless open world with multiple living biomes where each element interacts with every other element in a vibrant physics engine where you can attach anything to anything and none of the mechanical forces fail or cause the game to bug out and it runs on a 6 year old tablet that was underpowered when it came out
None of those are problems though. You people sincerely don't understand that you've been playing video games for decades and are completely used to optimizing the games and breaking them over your knees, and Zelda allows you to do that.
When people lever the same complaints at Morrowind for having abusable enchanting and alchemy trees, it's lauded as some incredible flexibility and win for player agency, and that's true.
The same goes for TotK. The systems are there that allow you to break the game or trivialize them. If you don't like that, and want more of a challenge, don't break the game. >NOOOO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

>Complaining that there isn't enough is admitting that they did something groundbreaking and your only problem is that you want more.
I just beat this game, finally finished it recently. The sky and depths are visually cool but holy fuck are they boring and devoid of anything substantial. There's nothing groundbreaking about it. It's the same as mario odyssey: the sky is cool the first time you do a puzzle, but it really loses all it's oomph the 4th time you do a shrine puzzle that is a mild variation of the other 3. in almost every way breath of the wild was better than tears of the kingdom.
totk is better in pretty much every way but it is hardly better most of the time, playing botw before/having a functioning memory of it going into totk severely impacts enjoyment of it
You can't say it wasn't groundbreaking. It's an entirely unique video game experience. Take that for a given and move on.
BotW was a creative leap on par with the transition from LttP/2D to OoT/3D, though not as visual. I would not expect to get another sea change like that with a game that's basically iterating on its genre-defining predecessor.
I thought there was a lot of variety in the sky islands, and the exact type of content is only repeated 2-4 times. There's 3 labyrinths, 3 skydive challenges, 4 sphere puzzles, maybe 4 sky mines, 4 construct fights, and then a smattering of unique challenges like the Sky Forge.
It doesn't bother me that there are a handful of puzzles that are in the same category but each unique. One of the sky dives involves a snowboarding section IIRC. The sphere puzzles all involve climbs.
Also chasing down the dragons is a pretty vertically oriented challenge. I brute forced getting the Master Sword after losing track of Zeldragon following the final Tears quest and having to find her at the fucking peak of the world. I tracked her movement, picked a high shrine in her way, and built a series of air ships to get me up enough to catch her. It took multiple attempts and was one of the most trying parts of the game, but deeply satisfying to get of my own volition and will and ingenuity. You just don't get experiences like that in any other game.

>You can't say it wasn't groundbreaking. It's an entirely unique video game experience. Take that for a given and move on.
Politely, the fuck I can't. BotW was groundbreaking. TotK was following in its footsteps with a few new shiny trinkets. The variety of challenges in BotW was greater while also having the novelty of being the first shot nintendo took. Don't get me wrong: I liked TotK, but if someone said "which is the better game?" it's a no contest. Six years is a long time to just swap up puzzles, locations, and add, what, half a dozen new enemies?

Again, TotK is an iteration on BotW. BotW itself was incredibly sparse, but it created this interconnected, dynamic, living open world. TotK is exploring the breadth of things you can do with such a game world, and the elements at play, while also adding two tiers of vertical land to play with and the entire construction and mechanics system.
Both games are part of the same saga. BotW left me wanting more, TotK adds so much of what I was missing but still leaves me wanting more. I'm very excited for what the third iteration in this saga will bring.

Contraptions are barely used in TOTK outside of transport, and even that is just for speed, not progression (past the turtorial) because the map is botw's, which didn't require these contraptions. They suck at killing enemies, and despawn for no reason. They're almost never used in puzzles, which are instead almost entirely solved by gluing things into bridges, using ultrahand + recall to ride floating platforms, or acending through the floor.

Bullshit. Nothing about the switch makes wings despawning mid air make sense. Nothing about the switch makes despawning items by distance traveled a more reasonable solution to loading too many entities rather than just implementing some sort of cap. Nothing about the switch justifies despawning contraptions left outside a building with a load screen door.

The wings/balloons despawning is too constricted, I wish they let you scale those up, but those decisions were made for balance reasons since wings and balloons can be operated with zero battery power.
As far as zonai drones being ineffective, it's literally a skill issue. The electric horn + hydrant drone will single-handedly wreck multiple enemies.

>Again, TotK is an iteration on BotW.
I left BotW with a positive desire, a hunger, for more. I left TotK with a negative "that's it?" sort of feeling. Your points only further push me into the camp that they didn't do much at all with the tools presented to them. WHy was enemy variety so lackluster? Why was puzzle variety so lackluster? Why were so many locations, ESPECIALLY GREAT FAIRIES, so lackluster? Everything felt more curated and thought out in BotW. So much in TotK had a feel of "good enough, I guess," to me. Like, all the effort felt like it went into the temples and little else. I have other complaints, but those are my major ones. Hell, comparing the innovation from Breath to Tears, I imagine you could argue many 6 year periods of WoW had more innovation and work put into them. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, you got a second dose of revolutionary gameplay, but I just didn't feel it. It was like playing FIFA 2019 and 2023 back to back.

>>Why was enemy variety so lackluster?
Compared to all pre BotW zeldas, it's lackluster
>>Why was puzzle variety so lackluster?
Compared to BotW or older zeldas it felt lackluster. I'll admit if I compare it to dedicated puzzle games, it's worse, but that's a bit unfair since this is an adventure game. Repeating puzzles with slight variations is bogus though. The unique puzzles were rad and I will absolutely agree with you there: The snowboarding one, the sky forge, and the repeats were cool the first time... but both on the ground and in the air, repeating a puzzle immediately feels ho hum to me. Lazy. Filler. The entire underground felt that way save for mineru's quest (which I will also admit is the best "escort" quest even, I think) and the one yiga fort with the disco laser turrets... Because it was the only yiga fort not reused
>>Why were so many locations, ESPECIALLY GREAT FAIRIES, so lackluster? >They weren't. Again, what are you comparing this to?
This is what makes me wonder what you saw, because the great fairies of BotW were awesome locations: little groves and alcoves, full of ingredients hard to find elsewhere, tucked away in places that took exploring to find. They felt magical, secluded and safe, even in a wild, empty world. In TotK, They are literally just slapped on paths in the open, within obvious sight line from a stable. The only exception is the horse god, who does have a great new location that felt thought out to me. I dunno man, To me BotW was like an 8 or 9 out of 10, and TotK is like a 7. I'm happy that in your weird lil world it's the perfect game, but it sure as fuck is not in mine. It's a good sandbox, has good points and neat stuff, but it's not raping anything like you say, not even it's prequel.

It's actually kinda funny to me because those are the same puzzles as TotK, except we also add "spin the thing 3 times" and "put the crystal in the light." Ok, you got me, clearly the best puzzle game ever made, behind mario odyssey.

I guffawed. Nah man, I just don't see it. I don't think there's any convincing me or you. TotK is a solid game, but it wouldn't hit any top tens in my life. I hope you can believe me when I say that I'm glad that it's on yours. Holy shit two cakes is the best I got for you, but I'm glad you liked your second cake better.

You can't play them back to back. If you played BotW six years ago and haven't touched it since, returning to that world is a delight.

Outside of some specific landmarks, there was nothing of real interest in that world.

My favourite part of Zelda puzzles was getting to the boss door itself. Like in Fire Temple where you smash down that last pillar and suddenly you just plugged the gap between the entrance and the boss door. Really cool if you don't pick up on it from the map layout before you do it.
Shadow Temple doesn't do this, which is why it sucks.

For me, it was realizing the central mechanic of the dungeon, but not knowing what to do with it until you're later into it, like the eagle's tower from Link's Awakening, where you have to collapse the dungeon in on itself to advance, but you can't do that until you're in the right spot to smash the pillars, and you have to strategically bring a giant wrecking ball with you.

Has this been figured out yet? I still don't understand how the f*ck this game can exist.
You're not supposed to mention that anon. You're only supposed to point out the surface level comparisons to all the other garbage on the market and ignore how relatively bug-ridden and segmented the competition is.
>You're not supposed to mention that anon. You're only supposed to point out the surface level comparisons to all the other garbage on the market and ignore how relatively bug-ridden and segmented the competition is.
Putting aside my personal dislike for their reuse of the map, the price tag, and my opinion that the gameplay isn't a good match for Zelda, I'm going to give TotK is a solid 8.5/10 and say: This should be the NORM. Games like this should not create incredulous awe and inspire abject worship. If gamers had fucking standards they would see TotK as the minimum bar AAA games should be aspiring for and not 20/10 most amazing game to ever exist
>and it runs on a 6 year old tablet that was underpowered when it came out
'How the fuck does it exist... ON THE SWITCH?' is the only rational context I have encountered for this, and it still doesn't excuse the misleading hyperbole of the original phrase.
I'm not saying it's not impressive or that it's not good (although it's definitely not 10/10 good), I'm saying the 'how can it even exist???' hyperbole is ridiculously stupid and embarrassing
People need to stop worshipping games they like, no good comes from it
>'How the fuck does it exist... ON THE SWITCH?'
+ why does nobody else do it on more powerful hardware.
For all the whining about BotW/TotK, NOBODY ELSE IS MAKING GAMES LIKE THIS
Where is the OTHER AAA seamless three-tier global sandbox with a bug-free physics engine that can track the positions of any object and allow them to retrace backwards while preserving momentum and translating it appropriately to new items?
All you see is negativity and sniping at TotK in these threads, niggling complaints about "there wasn't enough for me" or "I made it too easy by breaking the game".
Not "here's another game that does all these things better".
THAT'S the difference here. Nintendo is turning out actual high-quality unique gameplay products that ALSO happen to run on extremely old and weak hardware. It proves that the hardware race is fucking retarded and doesn't promote quality game development.
>+ why does nobody else do it on more powerful hardware.
Terraria did it, with not even a fraction of the budget. It may not copy all of its mechanics, but it objectively has a better world, better combat, better storytelling, better graphics, and just overall better cohesion between these elements.
>>For all the whining about BotW/TotK, NOBODY ELSE IS MAKING GAMES LIKE THIS
I think we're kinda on the same page anon. I have my complaints about TotK but I think it's a very good game. I'm negative about it because I don't like the hyperbole surrounding it and I want gamers, and the industry at large, to have better standards overall.

>Do they mean canonically? >I think even the devs don't know
The notion that there's some canon, interconnected timeline covering all the games is a complete lie, they don't have a fucking clue what they're doing in that regard, nor do they care
Who the fuck makes these articles? Yeah, BOTW and TOTK do some solid work on a techincal level but these titles are basically the yellow press. >developers have no hecking idea how Nintendo-Diddly-Doodly did this
Did they traveled the world to ask every single developer? Did they ask at least one developer?
>Who the fuck makes these articles?
They're made by midwits for midwits. They're never written objectively, and always have a target audience in mind that they're attempting to grift into engaging with it. In this case it's dumbasses who don't know any better than to lavish praise on a game that they only like because the media told them to.
Anyone who's played games on Steam for long enough knows that it's literally just basic Gmod shit.
>Nowhere near as good obviously.
Unironically enjoyed it more simply because there was more actual game in it, even though it takes awhile for Zeus/Prometheus to shut up.
These Zelda games are steaming shits, but because they have the Zelda coat of paint people praise them.
If Ubisoft released an Assassin's Creed with the Zelda coat of paint, it would be praised as the next step in the development of the Zelda franchise or some other equally inane CEO speak. People don't like the game, they like being part of the group on the right side of the praise fence.
There's a truth to this. It's why these fanboys zealously and angrily shit on any game that doesn't help propagate their silly console war. And you will get the lion's share of their hate if you dare to imply that a multiplat is your personal GOTY.
idk man botw was my first zelda game (I never cared about zelda and never will) and it was great
now on the other hand I can't stomach any ubishit game
Nah, you're a coping retard. I generally don't like Zelda aside from LttP and WW, but BotW/TotK are two of my favorites. It has nothing to do with the franchise and everything to do with them just being excellent games. Seethe, dilate, cope, then get the fuck over it, your crying got old seven years ago.

Don't insult LTTP by comparing it to that lazy ubisoft trash
This is why Ganker's opinions on video games will never be taken seriously
Because you can't tell the difference in quality control and gameplay systems integration between the average ubisoft slop and zelda beyond the absolute surface level comparisons
Yeah same I can't believe such a boring game can exist! And I'm not even being a Snoynagger about it the game gave me the same extreme boredom I had playing Botw hell half the time it actually felt like I was replying Botw.
is this the thread for articles around the game's release treating it like the Avatar of videogames? game is alright but not worth the asking price despite being padded to twice the length it needed to be.
>HOW THE HECKARINO CAN A GAME RUN LIKE THIS ON SWITCH?!?!
By hiring people who actually knows how to do their job, instead of hiring based on if they aren't male/white.
Its that shrimple.
>Has this been figured out yet? I still don't understand how the f*ck this game can exist.
Yeah they released a DLC and didn't invest in making a new open world while also adding an emptier open world below it. It's genius.
Again, since you made the exact same thread yesterday, you need a basic degree of reading comprehension.
People know how it was made. And that's exactly why they're impressed by Nintendo's coordination, planning and logistics to make it work this well in just 6 years.
i played both bg3 and totk exhaustively, to completion, and enjoyed both
totk is simply a letdown that should have been incredible, bg3 is all-around very good, and the comparisons end there because they are vastly different
BotW >Great Plateau tutorial, just a small chunk of the open world where the player can freely experiment >the second it's over the player is truly free to go wherever they want >content is spread out so any direction is good >only guidance is "go to Sheikah village" >likely to find Hestu after exploring the first area after the jumping down the Plateau, and a fairy fountain when looking for Sheikah village
TotK >Sky Temple tutorial, borderline linear with a very clear intended order, to advance you are required to solve building "puzzles" that are so rigid they almost only have one solution if you aren't trying really really hard to ignore the game and do your thing >after you land you are required to visit the first town and do the first quest of visiting the castle to unlock maps and the glider >even then the game still clearly intends you to visit Rito village after that, Fairy questline is linear and you must start it in the path to Rito village, Hestu is on the way too and only moves back to Lookout town after doing one dungeon, far too late for a player who explores around and didn't beeline the plot quests in the intended order >if you properly want to interact with building you also need to follow the depths questline, randomly exploring around will only lead to you thinking the depths are empty and ignoring them
If someone hadn't told me to do the questline to get autobuilder I wouldn't have touched it until late-game.
Everytime I entered the depths I was bored out of my mind so I wouldn't have bothered with that quest not knowing it locks a very important feature behind it.
Also, you didn't mention the memories.
In BotW it literally doesn't matter what order you do the memories in.
In TotK they still have specific memories in specific locations, but the order actually matters to the story, so your first memory could be Zelda turning into a fucking dragon if you weren't aware of the fact that they're in a certain order.
They didn't know what the fuck they were doing with TotK at times.
>laugh at lazy trash being resold to brainless retards on console X >"w-well lazy trash on console Y is bad!"
You 3rd world subhumans need to commit mass suicide and spare us your embarrassing posts and threads.
>tutorial troll reappears
If you have to focus on the most middling little whinge that takes <5 minutes at the start of a 200 hour game, that is a point to its strength.
Yeah I don't get it, some people just like different shit. Why have a fit over it? Some gamers value story and others think its unnecessary for the game.
>Why come to threads about games that don't appeal to you.
Because Ganker isn't your personal hugbox. If I want to criticize a game I don't like, I very well have that freedom to do so.
>How's that working out for you
Feels great. I am unshackled to a corporation, so I don't fall for console war arguments. Meanwhile you scour these threads 24/7 just to call people trannies for not "understanding Nintendo's vision". I can't believe how many of these threads I miss, and yet you're in every one, with your little cherry picked game journo articles.
there we go, proof that the tendiecord trannies are changing image hashes so that no one calls them out on their blatant spam/samefagging campaign
the sooner consoletrannies are removed from this board, the sooner we will recover
If anyone is interested, there are some cool enemy revamp mods and rebalance mods that are coming out, getting increasingly more complex.
I wouldn't say there's enough for a full replay with overhauls yet, but it's getting there.
You should really know the answer if you've spent any time in breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom or metroid threads these past few years.
i really dont know, i avoided zelda threads forever because it always devolved into spamming the seconds cried since images and calling everyone eric, got very boring
same with ff threads, dead because barry
same with kojima threads because caramel
I don't think you'll be surprised to hear that it's another one of those kind of people that makes themselves very infamous by making it obvious that it's them and the entire thread going to shit in response to him.
Basically there's a guy that loves armored core and terraria, which would be completely fine if he wasn't extremely dogged in touting his opinions about everything, thread after thread, and making it very obvious.
Everything to do with cutscenes is a flaw, anything that takes agency away from the player is bad, and he consistently repeats these opinions thread after thread, with discussion essentially being reset after the thread ends and he'll do it in the next one. I genuinely don't understand how he can keep getting into arguments about the same thing with little to no evolution for years and not get fatigue from it.
Given that he likes armored core, people are basically just trying to make him angry and leave due to being exasperated and having an easy way of annoying him, from what I can tell. It's one of those situations where the best way to solve the issue would be to not reply to him at all, but there will always be new people to go through the same song and dance, unfortunately.
There are plenty of other issues going on in zelda threads, but that's one of them, it's genuinely not worth partaking in them if you're after proper discussion.
>Basically there's a guy that loves armored core and terraria, which would be completely fine if he wasn't extremely dogged in touting his opinions about everything, thread after thread, and making it very obvious.
Strange, how is this related to the people calling everyone "snoy trannies" and "thirdworld shitskins"? Am I the cause of that too?
of course i'm upset, a cabal of consolewarring troons from discord come to this board to suck corporate cock and samefag, why would i be anything but upset
i just want this board to be good again
>You seem upset 😉
Mildly? I wanted TotK to have more. The 5 hero temples were neat, but otherwise I felt like the world was empty, even compared to BotK. I might be kinda basic, but the depths could have had more locations, more interaction than "find lightroots, mine ore." Also, why the actual fuck was there not unique enemies for the depths? Fuck reskinning bokoblins, there shoudl have been weirder shit liek tectites, bubbles, death fairies, dark knuckles. The first frox you fight is the coolest part of the depths, then its all downhill.
totk is better in pretty much every way but it is hardly better most of the time, playing botw before/having a functioning memory of it going into totk severely impacts enjoyment of it
>totk is better in pretty much every way but it is hardly better most of the time, playing botw before/having a functioning memory of it going into totk severely impacts enjoyment of it
It feels very much "more of the same without much improvement," so I agree, except the exploration is shot in the foot because the lightroots make finding the shrines too easy. A cute gimmick, but unrewarding in my opinion. There were some really cool spots to find underground, but for the msot part it was just boring navigating darkness once you get over the initial spook factor. I think the game was best on the tutorial and before you explore out of central hyrule, with the temples being a high point in what is otherwise a very "we've done this already, why is there not more new stuff" happening. Fuck man, even just new enemies and swapping them up that way would have gone a long way to keep it fresh. Not like zelda historically has a lack of dumb, wacky shit to fight.
i hate this game because i cannot afford to buy the console and game and because the white main character is canonically the love interest of the white girl
also genshin is the best open world game
Game just filled with filler stuff. Instead of spending more resources on better side quests they just filled world with more koroks, bulding shit, hudson construction and left side quests as shitty as they were in botw. Hateno village questline is probably best of all side quests and it's not like a huge achievement.
>implying having jenga as a puzzle in your video game isn't kino
Name another game where the physics sandbox is this fleshed out that jenga is used as a one off puzzle for shits and giggles
Well, it has a working physics engine, something which was part and parcel of older vidya but modern AAA shit has severely lacked for 12+ years now. It really isn't mind blowing.
They're obviously referring to the game's placement in the timeline. I actually really enjoyed the story as a self-contained thing, even though they did a terrible job at accounting for doing events out of order, but in the greater context of the rest of the series it makes no fucking sense and no amount of mental gymnastics can make it make sense.
Why is it that I can go from biome to biome and still find the same enemies, with the same cooking ingredients, wearing the clothes that I picked up 30 minutes into the game, with equipment that far outstrips my armor rating, using Zonai devices that completely trivializes any enemy encounter or desire to travel?
>Why is it that I can go from biome to biome and still find the same enemies
but you don't >with the same cooking ingredients
but you don't >wearing the clothes that I picked up 30 minutes into the game
but you don't >with equipment that far outstrips my armor rating
because you don't play the game >using Zonai devices that completely trivializes any enemy encounter or desire to travel?
because you don't want to play the game
Wtf kind of article is this? Can anyone genuinely explain to me why people dick suck Zelda games so hard? Like I am honestly curious. I played a bit of Breath of the Wild a few years back on ryujinx and never beat it but it was okay, not a bad game by any means. By the way that Zelda fans talk about open world Zelda is like it's the greatest thing ever made since the wine Jesus made from water. I grew up playing NES with my dad and the original Zelda is probably my favorite Zelda game to this day but idk like I feel like when Zelda came out it was a novelty because it was on a home console, was an action adventure game, and kids that grew up on atari and arcade style games never played something like this. But even at the time original Zelda released there were rpgs on old systems and computers with 10x the depth of Zelda. Hell dnd was popular in the 80s. Is it just millennials that grew up with Ocarina writing this shit out of blind nostalgia? Like I can't even believe people unironically think Ocarina is the best game ever made, to this very day. Like TOTK and Breath of the Wild just seem like sub par rpgs with a forced main character (link) where you can't make your own and a big open world with grass and temples on phone tablet hardware with a child's crafting system thrown on top. Why do adults shill it so hard? It's by no means a masterpiece but these games aren't bad
I don't even own a Sony console schizo. Is every Zelda/pokemon thread like this? Some sperg Nintendo manchild can't take criticism about his supposed masterpiece game. Keep playing your fisher price toy buddy. Tell me why as an adult male should I play a modern Zelda game or mario game or whatever. Tell me why if I have a real true taste for Zelda I not just go play the original on nes?
I own a switch and a PC, I haven't owned a Sony console since the PS2; I played TOTK for free at higher resolution and better/more stable framerates but it doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed botw much more because it didn't have so much padding. I don't care about playing virtual legos and while I could spent 30 minutes building a flying machine to take me to the end of a puzzle, it is much less tedious to build a giant bridge of platforms.
The divine beasts and rewards from said beasts are objectively better than the companion rewards of TOTK, you can't even reliably command your spirit companions around in combat; seriously TOTK is a 6/10 where BOTW was an 8.5 because it was new and unique
Okay retard; keep consuming slop; I already told you my gripes with the game compared to its predecessor but I guess reality is too hard for a nin 10 year old to face; botw is so much fucking better than Queers of the israelitedom.
I spent 0 dollars on it through yuzu, for a better performance than the Switch and I still think the game that came before it is better; Get fucked and raped by a pack of naggers
Meds now
I got 50 hours into the game; I did the Bird shit then the Zora shit, then the Goron shit, got the auto build shit then went to Gerudo shit before dropping the game because I didn't like the bulk of the rewards for the side quests being garbage like a bomb flower or 20 rupees; if you are gonna keep trying sony tranny then I think you're obsessed
Don't know how to make it more clear for you so if you don't accept that, continue living in the doomed world you've created for yourself
If you're in for skinner boxes, unironically Ubisoft games are a better fit. They do a better job at giving you headpats and bingbings for completing checklist items. BotW/TotK are primarily about "did u have fun? Do u rike it? Here more" and if you don't rike it you don't have to do it.
>but those decisions were made for balance reasons since wings and balloons can be operated with zero battery power.
Battery power was a retarded mechanic and the game is more fun without it. The limit should have been only on how many parts you can power at once, not how long. >The electric horn + hydrant drone will single-handedly wreck multiple enemies
If by "enenmies" you mean low level bokoblins. Machines are worthless against black and silver enemies of all types and all bosses and lynels (other than getting within arrow range of gleeoks)
Electricity doesn't give a shit what color the enemies are, and the drones are merciless. Once you're fighting black/silver enemies you should have plenty of juice to run your drones or tanks or whatever you're messing around with. The power scaling was great, going from being smacked around like a ragdoll and dying at every tough encounter to getting enough elemental keese eyes and multishot bows so you can one-cycle gleeoks. That's how a power arc should feel.
>Electricity doesn't give a shit what color the enemies are,
It does fuck all damage against stronger enemies, against which the only viable strategy is powerful weapons. And yes, Link absolutely gets very fucking strong weapons. That was not in dispute, there is no Oblivion problem of the level scaling being faster than your own power growth. But this doesn't apply to contraptions, which are useless for combat by mid game.
You can use them for crowd control, or add extra electricity horns for more damage. Laser platforms are excellent for doing this.
Again, it's literally a skill issue and exposes that you didn't engage with the mechanics enough. Your own lack of imagination brought you here. You didn't have fun and it's actually your fault.
I am not batman. I do not want to disarm the enemy, I want to kill them. I get that they didn't want machines to trivialize combat, but the solution to that problem was to make enemies more able to attack machines, not make the machines do fuck all damage. Imagine if they didn't arbitrarily get rid of guardians, and you got to have tank battles, that would be sick
>gameplay driven game not a skinner box
Okay where at any point was I explaining that I needed loot boxes, I said the rewards of the side quests are not a good pay off; why build a giant dick robot when I can make a platform with 3 lasers in a fraction of the time?? or is skinner box some other buzzword I've never heard of because I don't browse Ganker 24/7 but either way, BOTW is a more enjoyable game than TOTK
>watches anime >is a homosexual

Woah dude, your estrogen levels are off the charts! sorry for insulting your buzzword; Go turn on moe anime #853 and sing the opening theme song then cling to your Nintendo switch like a teddy
Majora's Mask is better than Shits of the Wild, and Diarrhea of the Kingdom. Indisputable, and tendies will fight this opinion, but in their heart of heart, they know it's true.
When you guys eventually replay this era of Zelda games, how are you going to do it?
I don't like to beeline main quests, but at the same time, there's just too much game for one of each BotW and TotK, let alone the fact that there's so much overlap.
Imagine trying to do even half of the shrines in each game, It'd take forever and you'd burn out very quick due to all the reuse.
I haven't played TOTK but isn't it basically just gmod in an open world adventure game? That's definitely a novel concept and if you actually polish it up instead of letting the inherent jank of such a thing be its own kinda selling point like gmod does then I'm sure it'll impress normalfags, but it's not like it's some impossible task that only the nintendo gods could have pulled off or whatever this retard that wrote the OP article is implying.
Basically yeah. People are just impressed because it's not a buggy mess, but it has alot of other problems, like being insultingly easy and the puzzles being even worse.
>goes to reddit >defends queers of the kingdom

Sorry bro I don't browse sites for homosexuals but it seems to be right up your alley; don't you have some Zelda ganon cuckold porn to jerk off to while you are seething about all the praise BG3 is getting?
>Nobody: >You: TRANNIES REEEEEEEE
if you are gonna regurgitate the same statement maybe you should go to Reddit so you can get some heckin updoots
Everyone everywhere, even the homosexuals of Ganker are praising BG3 but you seem pretty keen on denying reality if this thread is any indicator so please go back to your fettle position while desperately clutching your Nintendo Switch™ maybe your adoptive mother will warm up the onions bottle for you
It's funny how this game was revealed to be barely memorable flavor of the month shit and tendies will screech at anyone who has the slightest criticism of it
Three tier open world except only one of them has anything going on in it the other two are lazy, interesting because Elden Ring had an entire level completely handcrafted that was under the map and similarly large as the top world. It doesn't have sky islands but considering how little effort was put there who cares. Quality over quantity.

keep seething about nonexistent troons while also defending a game that isn't even better than the game which came before it TOTK is a 6/10 at best and I am tired of pretending it isn't, I spent 0 dollars and the 50 hours I sunk into the game made me realize how much better BOTW was compared to queers of the israelitedom

I'm just calling you a homosexual and nagger because you are king homosexual of nagger mountain
Enjoy your downgrade from BOTW; that'll be 60 dollars + 50 more for the dlc which adds the motorcycle back
Buh bye enjoy your simple existence with trannies and reddit at the forefront of your mind
Outside of Pikmin 4 & TotK2, my Switch has been gathering dust. All of the other 'major' releases are just visual remasters or multiplats I'm playing on my PC instead.
>Nope, Nintendo had a fantastic year.
Nintendo is probably at the top of the shitty heap but taking six years and releasing glorified DLC for $70 was an abysmal move even if the game was decent
>AC6 does
Nope, the first mission actually requires you to know how to play the game. Infact the tutorial boss is harder than every boss in TOTK combined.
yeah, I can see how someone might think TotK is some kind of modern miracle if they literally just don't play video games at all beyond first party nintendo games
Everything in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom is incredibly wasteful. The Devs:
> Make systems that 99% of players will not interact with during their playtime > Copies and pastes enemies around the map > Copies and pastes areas like shrines and caves. > Copies and pastes cutscenes for saving the Sages > Makes systems that make traveling mechanics irrelevant > Makes a teleport system that also makes traveling mechanics irrelevant > Everything, all in the service of a half-baked plot copied from an earlier Zelda title. > All in all, a waste of everyone's time and money.
The worst part is that I 100% agree that TOTK and BOTW have some fun mechanics, but it squanders them. For example, remove fast travel for the most part, and introduce more enemies who are a threat to you while you're on a vehicle, and suddenly the vehicles gain more use and are more fun to use. Restrict how much of an advantage the player has in combat (removing flurry rush and limiting how much you can heal and buff yourself) and now enemy encounters are more threatening. You give the player all these options, but don't incentivize them to use them. The common bandaid is to "impose challenge on yourself" which isn't very fun.
There's some parts I want more of, but I genuinely want to smash Zelda's face against the pavement for being an obnoxious NPC, I could use less of her.
Are they talking about in the setting? Because TotK really feels like its own separate universe away from all the other games. Even BotW felt more connected to the other titles, TotK having a brand new Ganondorf, Rauru, Imprisoning War, etc just made it feel like a reboot
I can't decide if you're a bot, a low-effort (you) farmer or someone with a genuinely miniscule IQ
In none of those scenarios is it worth engaging with you any more
I offer my trannycession, now begone
I can't believe they left the weapon durability/inventory system virtually untouched. The game would immensely better if you had to THINK and plan about what armor, food, weapons and tools you had to bring out in the field with you. Imagine coming across a Lynel but you couldn't just cheese it by healing from a menu. It's so fucking close to being amazing but they shit the bed by letting you carry literally everything all the time.
To be fair, cooking food is such a chore I found myself running low on things just because I didn't want to go through the effort of making new ones. Plus you run out of sundelions pretty easily if you're not farming them from the sky islands.
Tears of the Kingdom is kind of like a complex jazz, math rock, or metal song. It's like music for musicians to appreciate, and that draws the ire of people who expect catchy pop hooks or will go "where's the drop?" on every electronic song.
Basically, it's a pleb filter.
Expect lots of mad snoys who think themselves extremely tasteful and cultured to disagree, with zero evidence or coherent arguments to the contrary.
Hilarious bait that accidentally shows how astronomical the achievement TotK is. This is literally the closest thing to what TotK can do and the only way to play it is to torture a 20 year old Source level editor and it STILL looks like something out of the stone age compared to TotK.
What a brutal indictment of Sony, Microsoft, and all other major developers and publishers.
They simply don't have a fraction of the imagination and effort that Nintendo does. It's not even close!
GIBE ME MORE FUCKIN DUNGEONS. IT CANT BE THAT HARD TO DO.
MAKE HALF OF THEM OPTIONAL IDGAF.
When I got to the depths and didn't find a single optional dungeon I knew the game was soulless. Same for the sky areas.
The 4 dungeons are decent but the water temple is a tutorial tier meme and the lightning / sand dungeon was too short.
>When I got to the depths and didn't find a single optional dungeon I knew the game was soulless
The sheer irony of this statement while forgetting about the spirit (e.g., soul) temple
It's a DLC to BotW that they decided to sell for full price? What's not to get?
okay snoy
Calling out TOTK and the hyperbolic response has nothing to do with Sony, who are shit in their own way.
If anything, it isn't enough praise.
How “the f*ck” can it exist???
Why does basedtendo get a pass but Call of Duty doesn't?
Somehow nintendies are more willing to eat slop than Call of dookie fagboys. honestly sad
I am not even a Nintendo fan but this full priced standalone DLC came years later and does a lot of new things. CoD has a brand new game every single year that's largely the same and they have mtx and lootboxes that don't carry over. This is not even closely comparable.
If you bundled all the cod dlcs into one single dlc, you still wouldn't match the size of the monster that is totk.

Fpbp. Op's article must've been written by a moron. The game is copypasta for $70.

Yeah this is pretty much it. The devs took too long to make the damn thing and just decided to brand it as a sequel. Regards still ate it up tho

>And I'm just posting my observation 😉
Thereby proving you are projecting.
My observation seems to upset you 😉
it's not that they did anything impossible, but they did things that other devs will shy away from because it's prone to issues, and they did it flawlessly in a fully open world game
Such as?
making a game run on the shitch
Open-ended physics puzzles are pretty straightforward to get almost right, but it's really impressive to get it done without a lot of visible jank.
>but it's really impressive to get it done without a lot of visible jank.
No it isn't. Actually play games, moron.
Post 5.
the physics mostly
since when physics in game is a miracle?
literally wtf? Are nintendo cucks this retarded?
>Such as?
Chains and rope maintaining sanity at all times without vibrating through objects. Everything in TOTK behaving like the player expects it to, even even horrendous vehicles slapped together, is a feat.
Sorry but that is the bare minimum and not a technological marvel.
Why did this take nintendo 6 years?
If that is the bare minimum, you have pretty much no other choices at all.
Gmod for example constantly vibrates and shoots physics objects into the sky.
>Gmod for example constantly vibrates and shoots physics objects into the sky.
Yeah, because in garrysmod it is absolutely trivial for the player to apply insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously, so of course it's easier to make things spaz out. You can just as well constrain objects in a way that they act reasonably and simulate that same behavior.
Sorry, are we really sucking nintendo's dick because it took them 6 years to make sure ragdolls don't explode? So what if they explode? I laugh at it and move on, but they can save 4-5 years of development time. Is it really worth it? Rethroical question.
>t. ubisoft dev
>and not a technological marvel.
The stability of its physics modeling is a technological marvel when every modern game still has the "ragdolls exploding" issue.
Yet you can't name a single fucking game doing what TotK does. Ironically the only thing which comes close is BotW.
If I'm wrong, prove it. Post one fucking game. Just one.
Banjo-Kazooie Nuts n Bolts
>less dynamic vehicles, only vehicles, no open world
Nope.
>Banjo-Kazooie Nuts n Bolts
This just proves how clueless you are.
N&B has you going into a subscreen to build vehicles.
TotK has you building vehicles in real-time, within the game world, fully primed with interactive potential and physics.
You do not understand video games. You don't understand what video games are or how they are made. So it's no surprise you are baffled when video developers heap praise on TotK.
I dunno anon, they're looking kind of the same to me. Large open levels, have to build vehicles to get anywhere... the only thing that's different, really, is the collectathon nature of Nuts n Bolts.
>Tactical ignorance
hidden.
I accept your concession. =]
>Sorry but that is the bare minimum
you are either a literal child, someone that never plays video games or so retarded you don't notice bizarre behavior in game physics. just kidding you're shitposting
>in garrysmod it is absolutely trivial for the player to apply insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously, so of course it's easier to make things spaz out
applying insanely high amounts of force to objects near instantaneously is a basic option players have in TOTK and everything maintains it's sanity.
Haven't seen that shit since SotFS.
>they did things
Like what, you fucking idiotic tendie?
>you know, things!!
Fuck off.
having a robust, relatively bug-free physics sandbox with an environment and gameplay loop that naturally rewards creativity and open-ended solutions on top of an open world that actively encourages free roaming
I'll just play decade old modded skyrim where u can make multiple characters and builds and role play instead but thanks. Switch games aren't even worth a download on pc to emulate. Is it true adult men who play Nintendo switch games laying in bed or out in public also really like cuck porn? I've heard this is true, I want to verify
>gameplay loop
have a nice day.
Basically it is to BotW what Spiderman 2 should have been.
we live in a dream, nothing is impossible.
Sonysisters, do something!
By taking 6 years to develop an asset flip
but enough about Spidernagger
I have never owned a playstation console
If the other companies actually made video games it wouldn’t be so hard to figure out
>If the other companies actually made video games it wouldn’t be so hard to figure out
Legitimately good point here though.
>If you don't like one asset flip, you must love the other asset flip!
Why are nintentoddlers like this?
By making someone admitting they're fine with it, the zeldacuck can say "hah, so it's not wrong for me to like my asset flip!"
>music quality is basically the same
>story is just as bad or worse
>exploration is the same (arguably worse because the map is reused and not changed drastically enough to make it fresh, plus the new underground area is only good in small bursts and the floating islands are largely copypasted)
>gameplay is improved due to new mechanics
>enemy variety is improved
>performance is lacking
>dungeons are still lame
totk had all the tools for success and just made a game that was a little better than botw instead of something way better like it should've been
I find it hilarious how the story is genuinely terrible, but fans get pissy if you ask to skip it. Heaven forbid I not be subjected to the intro where you just walk down a hallway, fight some trash keese mobs, and then job to ganon in a mandatory cutscene.
So much for freedom.
Dungeons are... fine-ish.
Needs more enemies
Agree on everything else.
>the map is reused and not changed drastically enough to make it fresh
PLAY
THE
GAME
i played the game and finished every single shrine and every single cave
the map is not changed drastically enough to make it fresh, putting rubble everywhere is not enough to change the overall shape of the space you move through
Stop talking shit. There isn't a single area in the game which hasn't been drastically altered from BotW, with new content and gameplay ideas packed into everything.
TotK haters don't have a single fucking argument amongst them
lol
Still no arguments.
>falseflagging this hard
>walk korok down the street
>new gameplay
Did the retarded devs not code in a blueprint system to save and immediately build previously built shit?
funny you mention that, because they absolutely did and it's one of the first things you get when exploring the depths
also conveniently leaves out how this korok is in the starting area where you're not expected to know a lot about building mechanics or have many materials to build with
>starting area
It doesn't bother you that the game doesn't leave the tutorial where it belongs, and the game basically babies you long after you've left the tutorial island?
Even Ganon is a tutorial fight, since he doesn't move and just lets you kill him, and he's the final boss.
>but he's a spectacle fight!
Ah, just like in a snoy movie. Gotcha.
>since he doesn't move and just lets you kill him, and he's the final boss.
Maybe play the game, ACsnoytranny.
And less tutorials than animated cinematic 6.
Hmm...
Yep, less cinematic than animated cinematic 6.
And fewer tutorials and cutscenes.
>hmmmm you hit that red spot for MASSIVE DAMAGE
toppest kek, there is less gameplay here than a snoy joke from 2006
But enough about AC6 being a movie.
>Even Ganon is a tutorial fight, since he doesn't move and just lets you kill him, and he's the final boss.
Are you including the 3 other phases before the dragon fight which are the hardest fights in the game or are you conveniently ignoring those parts that don't fit your narrative?
>Are you including the 3 other phases before the dragon fight which are the hardest fights in the game
Ah yes, fighting a slow guy who telegraphs his attacks hard, and never capitalizes on his unique ability to flurry rush you. Truly the dark souls of zelda games.
Much more complex and skill driven than AC6 could ever dream to be.
>people unironically seething at AC6
How the fuck can you hate such a nice game that doesn't even get discussed on Ganker anymore?
Console warriors.
>every game has to be as hard as dark souls
I see you've run out of strawmans
>and never capitalizes on his unique ability to flurry rush you
tendies CAN NOT refute this
TOTK feels like a half baked game
>or a challenge that requires no thought.
Having watched some first playthrough VODs you would be shocked at what requires some people to think.
>By tutorial, I mean braindead part of the game that exists solely to teach players something through forced exposition, or a challenge that requires no thought.
You mean the one that's located entirely in lookout landing and nowhere else?
It shouldn't exist period, not even in the designated tutorial area.
Then you would hate AC6.
AC6 offers a challenge. TOTK doesn't. That's why I'm a little more lenient.
Ah, so the it's okay if AC6 is a movie game excuse.
And it isn't, it does not even have gameplay at all.
I accept your trannycession
If AC6 is a movie game, then why is it more challenging than TOTK? That's pretty bad, considering Nintendo is supposed to be a veteran in this industry.
Challenging not to fall asleep in maybe.
Otherwise, there is nothing to be praised about the moviegame AC6.
Not seeing any arguments.
Take your meds, ACfag.
they did, play the game
building using a controller looks hellish
This is literally that shitty normal people vs creative people image. Both are still crossing mind numbing chores off a checklist aka slopping it up.
Do the task the "boring" way fast, or do it the "exciting" way slow. Like, this isn't a real choice. After the first Korok you're not going to care about doing it the exciting way and just be stuck doing a boring task because it's faster.
Except the boring "fast" way is actually slower than being an efficient builder
That gif doesn't show the fast way. It shows the boring and slow way, and the retarded and slow way
You're full of shit though. Post a webm of you doing this with any other Korok in the game. You won't.
Having any knowledge of this would require you to first play the game past the starting area though, so it's understandable why you didn't know.
not pictured: the game deleting your plane for trying to have fun
>OH NO MY PLANE GOT DELETED
>anyway
>Plane lasts 10 seconds
>But with 9 fan components and a sled you can make it last an additional 10 seconds
based
Now slap a battery on your shield and some kind of electric-field-generation item and you can power that bad boy all day long.
that was before I knew about the crazy electric motors. I was mostly testing how far wings can go if you keep popping large charges but got bored flying in a straight line at that point. I think about half the map got traversed
good jalopy
ACfag was going into F-ZERO 99 threads to complain about a game that was nothing but raw gameplay because in his head it might have gacha features in the future. ACfag doesn't actually care about cutscenes, or tutorials or how much focus there is on gameplay. Ganker is just this retard's babysitter, were it not for this board he'd probably shoot up a Gamestop
>Second plane already about to disappear
Ahh, the no fun meter
Is the game really unable to hold 30fps with 5 colours onscreen?
>all that battery burned away in seconds
the building in this game was disappointing, it was fun to find work arounds to nintendo's anti-fun mechanic for all of a few days before getting burned out and bored
...God. THIS is what Zelda's become? A Nuts n Bolts clone? What a tragedy.
Those zonai fan items were themselves like secret items. When you get serious about building it opens a whole other layer to the game where you're collecting parts and iterating on your builds in Autobuild to create more perfect machines.
i don't hate the game, i just find it disappointing that it turned out to be a shinier botw instead of standing on its own merits
if you can't comprehend that stance it's on you
>There isn't a single area in the game which hasn't been drastically altered from BotW
You what mate?
Youre both a liar and a homosexual.
Maybe "drastically" means something different to you
jesus fucking christ. Go outside, bro.
Faron and Necluda are almost virtually untouched.
>Faron and Necluda are almost virtually untouched.
There's a gigantic thunderhead sitting right on top of Faron. There's an entire fucking main quest built around it in the skies, on the surface and underground.
Like I said. Faron is virtually untouched.
No, adding some caves that only matter for a late-game questline in one part of Faron is not a notable inclusion.
Thunderhead Island is cool, but It's not Faron, It's in the sky, and It's the only cool island outside of The Great Sky Island, which only proves my point.
>Faron is virtually untouched.
Apart from all the new content and weather systems affecting the gameplay in the region.
See how vague you had to be?
Because there's nothing in Faron, It's fucking untouched.
It's the entire southeast portion of the map and there's fucking nothing new there aside from tiny caves only there for a late-game questline.
Pic-related: CONTENT WHICH DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST IN BOTW
Continue to humiliate yourself.
anon... the Goddess Statue of Courage was in Breath of the Wild...
You are embarrassing.
>Nooooooooo! All that content doesn't count! It's the exact same as BotW! REEEEEEEEEEE!
Dude It's like 3 Points of interest on a map that are barely significant at all lol
At least Ubisoft gives you a new world to explore when they just sprinkle copy and paste checkpoints all over the place.
Yeah I really loved the fetch quest dungeon, I really loved that they reward you with a shitty mech that you'll never want to use after the boss fight. Great content
Nobody cares about your shit taste. TotK rapes your favorite game.
ok have fun gathering 20 logs and putting pegs in holes
I built the logs into a 5x4 cube and put wheels and a driving stick on them and then drove the whole load to the village and it was more fun than I've had in a triple-A game in years.
The exploration in totk is automatically better than botw because they greatly expanded vertical movement options. The main map is still new for anyone that dropped botw 10 hours in due to repetitive 'slowly climb mountain, then jump off mountain' core gameplay loop.
>enemy variety is improved
Barely. It's still pathetic.
Objectively false. TotK's enemy variety runs rings around most games
Yeah, all those differently colored guys with swords. So much variety.
Try again. Ya seethin.
It has ten bosses and around 20 unique enemies, and that's including shit like keese. That's shit even by the standards of the gamecube games, let alone modern competition.
it's not great but it's objectively improved from botw, you literally cannot argue otherwise
It is, barely, and I never argued otherwise. BotW was indeed even worse in terms of variety. Though it did have guardians, which were better than any enemy in totk.
the music in this and botw is SO FUCKING BAD
i played the oblivoin soundtrack to totk and it was a billion times better
>How [Videogame] can exist?!
is this a legit? are nintendies really this stupid?
It's just game journos. You know, the people who thought Cuphead was 2D Dark Souls?
I honestly don't understand how most Nintendo games can exist in the current era. Take Pokémon: the games are so soulless and broken nowadays, and yet people keep on slurping them up anyway before paying for a second version that really should've just been included in the first. It's bizarre.
no, it's a form of occupational therapy.
diluting anything worthwhile.
Nintendies? No. Video game journalists? Absolutely.
I sometimes wonder if we all died and this is some kind of magical realm because I see no other fucking explanation how this game exists.
>I sometimes wonder if we all died and this is some kind of magical realm because...
...the israelites keep on pushing racemixing yet somehow I don't have a fat-assed choco gf
have you tried slathering cocoa butter on your genitals and exposing yourself to them?
my only problem with the story is how theres no guardians, either to fight or on the hylians side after dr sex glasses messed with them.
i dont pay enough attention to the 'actual' story to get mad about timeline inconsistencies, but theres definitely some crap that confused me which ive already forgotten.
Bro no you have to pay attention to the story, but also story doesn't matter either! Stupid snoy!
Nintendo seems to be trying to bury lorefags under a mountain of their own soggy tissues just like they did the entire Zelda history in-universe.
The lore thing was a fun diversion but only in how it kept getting more and more unhinged each time Nintendo made a Zelda game.
This exact thread again? I don't know what you expect to achieve, the flavor of the month has passed.
But it does afford me another opportunity to ask: What EXACTLY about this game makes it so implausible? What makes its existence difficult to understand?
>Huge three-tier seamless open world with multiple living biomes where each element interacts with every other element in a vibrant physics engine where you can attach anything to anything and none of the mechanical forces fail or cause the game to bug out and it runs on a 6 year old tablet that was underpowered when it came out
Are other developers even trying?
>three tier
Little on the empty side for a tier.
Complaining that there isn't enough is admitting that they did something groundbreaking and your only problem is that you want more.
That's a win. Look forward to NuZelda 3. These iterations are only improving and getting us closer and closer to that grand vision.
>reading comprehension
>implying
Well, there's quite a few other problems. Being empty is just the tip of the iceberg.
All of those have been debunked for totk but apply to AC6.
You didn't even read it.
You're right. I don't. You're literally making yourself upset and expecting me to care about it.
>None of those are problems though.
So in a game about freedom, I shouldn't be allowed to skip the tutorial and intro cutscene? Do explain that.
>So in a game about freedom, I shouldn't be allowed to skip the tutorial and intro cutscene?
That's just good game design. Not setting up the stakes and explaining all of the complex mechanics would be a terrible experience for most people.
You will never make a video game. You don't understand them.
>Not setting up the stakes and explaining all of the complex mechanics would be a terrible experience for most people.
This isn't a snoy movie. You shouldn't need stakes in the first place, and a player should be able to figure out even the most complex mechanic just by their own intuition.
The fact that you unironically think cutscenes should be unskippable just shows that you're arguing in bad faith.
>This isn't a snoy movie. You shouldn't need stakes in the first place, and a player should be able to figure out even the most complex mechanic just by their own intuition.
Wow bro, you must really hate Donkey Kong where you see the big monkey carry your girlfriend up to the top of the tower. The game would be better if Mario was just a square block going up the skyscraper for no reason.
lmao what a mentally ill schizo. It's absolutely impossible for you to present a single convincing argument against TotK.
>Wow bro, you must really hate Donkey Kong where you see the big monkey carry your girlfriend up to the top of the tower. The game would be better if Mario was just a square block going up the skyscraper for no reason.
This but unironically. I don't need context to have fun.
This is why you will never ever make a video game. Your ideas are laughably shite and your opinions are worthless.
Now go back to your dogshit 2D block games.
These are not criticisms. This is incoherent nonsense
>weapon durability is good but the game gives you too many weapons
??????????
To utter gibberish you have invented in your head.
Sad.
It's called "Laundry list persuasion", where if you string together a bunch of bad arguments into a long list, it tricks the reader into thinking that they have some substance or that the overall point is true since there's so many arguments, and breaking them each down takes a tremendous amount of time. By the time you've completed dissembling the laundry list, the bad-faith actor can just start the list over again at the top as if nothing happened, none of it sticks.
>TotK is exploring the breadth of things you can do with such a game world,
No it doesn't. The machines are just a gimmick that should have been put in their own standalone game instead of being jammed into BotW 1.1 with all the grace and synergy of a sex mod for minecraft
You're so fixed on the argument you're losing track of reality. The building mechanics, the fusing mechanics, the time rewinding, all of it are integral to every part of Tears of the Kingdom. It's how you navigate, how you solve puzzles, and how you fight.
You don't have to be this mad.
>They suck at killing enemies
Skill issue.
>Despawn for no reason
Hardware limitations. It is running on an underpowered 6yo tablet.
>Skill issue.
The weapons do no fucking damage
>Hardware limitations.
The electric horn + hydrant drone will single-handedly wreck multiple enemies.
>but those decisions were made for balance reasons since wings and balloons can be operated with zero battery power.
Its not. Its way better than most games and the combat is better and more challenging than BotW
>Why was puzzle variety so lackluster?
It's not. What the fuck can you possibly be comparing this too?
>Why were so many locations, ESPECIALLY GREAT FAIRIES, so lackluster?
They weren't. Again, what are you comparing this to?
TotK rapes your favorite game in every imaginable. This upsets you.
Dude, puzzles in older Zelda's were quite literally "slide the block into the hole" or "shoot the arrow into the eye" or the highly complex "shoot the fire arrow into the frozen eye".
Don't be delusional. TotK puzzles mog them mercilessly.
It's actually kinda funny to me because those are the same puzzles as TotK, except we also add "spin the thing 3 times" and "put the crystal in the light." Ok, you got me, clearly the best puzzle game ever made, behind mario odyssey.
>Tactical ignorance
Do better.
I do wonder if I'd have liked TotK more if skipped BotW entirely.
You can't play them back to back. If you played BotW six years ago and haven't touched it since, returning to that world is a delight.
>returning to that world is a delight.
Nobody cares about your drivel and bullshit gibberish son. Type another 1000 words and see if anything changes lmao
They hated him because he spoke the truth.
Meant for
Not to mention the depths is just hyrule inverted and filled with even lower quality copy pasted content
Literally bigger than the Wind Waker's great ocean.
Have a (you), from me and
>Nintendo fans care about gameplay and not graphics
>but will instantly shit on a game for not having the latest epic 3d graphics
Being a little hypocritical, fellas.
>>For all the whining about BotW/TotK, NOBODY ELSE IS MAKING GAMES LIKE THIS
I think we're kinda on the same page anon. I have my complaints about TotK but I think it's a very good game. I'm negative about it because I don't like the hyperbole surrounding it and I want gamers, and the industry at large, to have better standards overall.
anon, you posted this already. This is the second time:
Good catch, I'm pretty sure that's the only post that's repeated itt
>anon, you posted this already. This is the second time:
Yes, I am a supreme dummy, thank you
>For all the whining about BotW/TotK, NOBODY ELSE IS MAKING GAMES LIKE THIS
I think we're kinda on the same page anon. I have my complaints about TotK but I think it's a very good game. I'm negative about it because I don't like the hyperbole surrounding it and I want gamers, and the industry at large, to have better standards overall.
Do they mean canonically?
I think even the devs don't know
>Do they mean canonically?
>I think even the devs don't know
The notion that there's some canon, interconnected timeline covering all the games is a complete lie, they don't have a fucking clue what they're doing in that regard, nor do they care
Nintendo Black Magic.
Who the fuck makes these articles? Yeah, BOTW and TOTK do some solid work on a techincal level but these titles are basically the yellow press.
>developers have no hecking idea how Nintendo-Diddly-Doodly did this
Did they traveled the world to ask every single developer? Did they ask at least one developer?
they asked three Indians and a surgically confirmed woman
>Who the fuck makes these articles?
They're made by midwits for midwits. They're never written objectively, and always have a target audience in mind that they're attempting to grift into engaging with it. In this case it's dumbasses who don't know any better than to lavish praise on a game that they only like because the media told them to.
Anyone who's played games on Steam for long enough knows that it's literally just basic Gmod shit.
AI, probably. It's all slop.
Why can't other developers make a game like TotK? Christ it's been almost 7 years and noone can even make a game like BotW, never mind TotK.
Ubisoft makes about two of these a year
>Ubisoft makes about two of these a year
Ubisoft made their one BotW knockoff off called Fenyx Rising. Nowhere near as good obviously.
>Nowhere near as good obviously.
Unironically enjoyed it more simply because there was more actual game in it, even though it takes awhile for Zeus/Prometheus to shut up.
ubisoft takes multiple steaming shits a year and nobody cares because they continue to lose value and beg to be purchased
Because you can't tell the difference in quality control and gameplay systems integration between the average ubisoft slop and zelda beyond the absolute surface level comparisons
that rascally Ganker
not understanding what a unique creation ToTK was
for shame
Dear culstist, read my post next time before defending your god.
Deus Ex
Mario Odyssey
>Deus Ex
>Mario Odyssey
Kek yeah bro. Just like BotW.
Are they saying its good or bad?
Needs more ganon x Zelda to be a masterpiece
>still seething
You mean standalone expansion that took like 6 years to make? Incompetence I guess.
>Has this been figured out yet? I still don't understand how the f*ck this game can exist.
Yeah they released a DLC and didn't invest in making a new open world while also adding an emptier open world below it. It's genius.
The game is set 5 years in the future right? Why is Hyrule still a barren shithole?
Oh nonnonono, sonysisters save us!
You seem upset 😉
Again, since you made the exact same thread yesterday, you need a basic degree of reading comprehension.
People know how it was made. And that's exactly why they're impressed by Nintendo's coordination, planning and logistics to make it work this well in just 6 years.
You seem upset 😉
Didn't you want an answer? 😉
nintendo makes a lot of zelda games op. in fact, they are probably working on a new one right now
They took the base game and added shit to it then sold you a $70 product.
Ganker trannies crying in their echo chamber about totk for the nth time
31 days till tendies seethe over losing goty
BG3 has fallen below TOTK in the meantime, btw 😉
>arguing for an unfinished game that frontloaded all of its polish
then again I'm not surprised because Ganker doesn't play video games
Reddit loves it though.
>Singleplayer game not needing internet is somehow going above and beyond
Redditors really are subhuman, aren't they?
i played both bg3 and totk exhaustively, to completion, and enjoyed both
totk is simply a letdown that should have been incredible, bg3 is all-around very good, and the comparisons end there because they are vastly different
You seem upset 😉
You seem upset at an answer to your question 😉
You seem upset 😉
>months later
>Ganker still seething over it
I thought flame wars were against the rules
It's okay if snoys do it.
Yeah, how can a $70 expansion exist.
BotW
>Great Plateau tutorial, just a small chunk of the open world where the player can freely experiment
>the second it's over the player is truly free to go wherever they want
>content is spread out so any direction is good
>only guidance is "go to Sheikah village"
>likely to find Hestu after exploring the first area after the jumping down the Plateau, and a fairy fountain when looking for Sheikah village
TotK
>Sky Temple tutorial, borderline linear with a very clear intended order, to advance you are required to solve building "puzzles" that are so rigid they almost only have one solution if you aren't trying really really hard to ignore the game and do your thing
>after you land you are required to visit the first town and do the first quest of visiting the castle to unlock maps and the glider
>even then the game still clearly intends you to visit Rito village after that, Fairy questline is linear and you must start it in the path to Rito village, Hestu is on the way too and only moves back to Lookout town after doing one dungeon, far too late for a player who explores around and didn't beeline the plot quests in the intended order
>if you properly want to interact with building you also need to follow the depths questline, randomly exploring around will only lead to you thinking the depths are empty and ignoring them
Yeah it was a little lame you need to go through filler to get the glider and camera.
>HYPERBOLE HYPERBOL HYPERBOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing.
some people grew up without playing with legos and it shows
Why are you suddenly making threads about this months old article?
>laugh at lazy trash being resold to brainless retards on console X
>"w-well lazy trash on console Y is bad!"
You 3rd world subhumans need to commit mass suicide and spare us your embarrassing posts and threads.
>tutorial troll reappears
If you have to focus on the most middling little whinge that takes <5 minutes at the start of a 200 hour game, that is a point to its strength.
>see bad-faith post
>hide post
man that was easy.
>all this seething and rage because someone doesn't need epic hollywood graphics and cinematic storytelling to have fun
Yeah I don't get it, some people just like different shit. Why have a fit over it? Some gamers value story and others think its unnecessary for the game.
Go play your shallow baby 2D block games then. Nobody is stopping you. Why come to threads about games that don't appeal to you.
We all know the answer.
>Why come to threads about games that don't appeal to you.
Because Ganker isn't your personal hugbox. If I want to criticize a game I don't like, I very well have that freedom to do so.
>If I want to criticize a game I don't like, I very well have that freedom to do so.
How's that working out for you going into YEAR EIGHT of your Zelda meltdown on Ganker? Are ya ok?
>How's that working out for you
Feels great. I am unshackled to a corporation, so I don't fall for console war arguments. Meanwhile you scour these threads 24/7 just to call people trannies for not "understanding Nintendo's vision". I can't believe how many of these threads I miss, and yet you're in every one, with your little cherry picked game journo articles.
there we go, proof that the tendiecord trannies are changing image hashes so that no one calls them out on their blatant spam/samefagging campaign
the sooner consoletrannies are removed from this board, the sooner we will recover

>AC6

>AC6
>AC6
Where did AC6 even come from in these arguments? What does AC6 even have to do with ToTK?
it's tendies, they hate everything not realeased on nintendo consoles like the corporate trannoidslaves they are
If anyone is interested, there are some cool enemy revamp mods and rebalance mods that are coming out, getting increasingly more complex.
This game is way better if you're a Dev.
Normies will just look at the build features and the mix and match scheme of weapons, they will say "okay" and return to Baldur's Gate 3.
It's a good "how was this made?" type of game. It's not a fun videogame though
of course i'm upset, a cabal of consolewarring troons from discord come to this board to suck corporate cock and samefag, why would i be anything but upset
i just want this board to be good again
you made this thread yesterday homosexual
I hate people like you who can only get dopamine hits from (you)s
I wonder why people are so amazed with mechanics that were done almost 20 years ago in Gmod.
>the gmod troll again

>having mental issues about a single poster
This is your brain on videogames.
This is you wasting your life on child toys.
Take your meds
>You seem upset 😉
Mildly? I wanted TotK to have more. The 5 hero temples were neat, but otherwise I felt like the world was empty, even compared to BotK. I might be kinda basic, but the depths could have had more locations, more interaction than "find lightroots, mine ore." Also, why the actual fuck was there not unique enemies for the depths? Fuck reskinning bokoblins, there shoudl have been weirder shit liek tectites, bubbles, death fairies, dark knuckles. The first frox you fight is the coolest part of the depths, then its all downhill.
>totk is better in pretty much every way but it is hardly better most of the time, playing botw before/having a functioning memory of it going into totk severely impacts enjoyment of it
It feels very much "more of the same without much improvement," so I agree, except the exploration is shot in the foot because the lightroots make finding the shrines too easy. Not like zelda historically has a lack of dumb, wacky shit to fight.
i hate this game because i cannot afford to buy the console and game and because the white main character is canonically the love interest of the white girl
also genshin is the best open world game
the day your discord gets revealed is gonna be good
it gets posted on gig xis
just join us and let us shitpost about nintendo and other shitty open world "games" everyday
Lmao this is who tendies keep quoting to show how “amazing” this game is
this so much hecckin!
now let's spam the board with genshin impact threads, especially the scarahida, kavehtham, eimiko, neuvisley stuff 😉
Jesus fuck, he answered his own question
they made it because they don't give a shit about politics in their games
Lol I swear people like this can't be real. It has to be an ai troll or something, I refuse to believe people like this exist
>This blew up like a bomb flower.
How old is this fucking guy?
Holy shit, straight to the politics
What causes someone to be like this?
Game just filled with filler stuff. Instead of spending more resources on better side quests they just filled world with more koroks, bulding shit, hudson construction and left side quests as shitty as they were in botw. Hateno village questline is probably best of all side quests and it's not like a huge achievement.
Huh? This is not a webm I was going to post.
That's pretty cool.
Now get the chest.
no, i don't really feel like it
>implying having jenga as a puzzle in your video game isn't kino
Name another game where the physics sandbox is this fleshed out that jenga is used as a one off puzzle for shits and giggles
>Hateno village questline is probably best of all side quests and it's not like a huge achievement.
Nah, I preferred the Stable Trotters, Newspaper rumors, Goddess Statue quests myself

heh, the absolute state of this manchild.
I can afford this game and a switch but I gotta get a honda. Please understand.

You seem obssesed with the transgender type, my manchild friend. Embrace them
Well, it has a working physics engine, something which was part and parcel of older vidya but modern AAA shit has severely lacked for 12+ years now. It really isn't mind blowing.
Zelda hasn't been Zelda in years.
Your thoughts on this character?
Extreme arousal and very useful while exploring caves because the lightning is just as good at clearing blockages as Yunobo's roll.
Moner?

Why do people think adding Garry's mod to Zelda was some impossible task?
Why is it that I can go from biome to biome and still find the same enemies, with the same cooking ingredients, wearing the clothes that I picked up 30 minutes into the game, with equipment that far outstrips my armor rating, using Zonai devices that completely trivializes any enemy encounter or desire to travel?

Why did Zelda fags stoop to the level of gamefreak's defence force?
please hate this game with me, i want to shill genshin as well!
Shitty bait thread. You know the game is mid or you wouldn't need validation.
I just don't get
sir, i am genshin chad! genshin is the best obvious, sir!
test
I have wasted my life.
yes sir, by playing genshin i sometime feel like that!
that why i hate zelda game!
Making soulless shitposts?
>immediately resorts to projecting his cuckold fetish
Snoys are really upset
I don't think that giving Link blue lipstick, earrings and this hairstyle was a good idea
Reminder that crossdressing is more a matter of humor in Japan than it is about affirming mental illness like it is in the west
for now
struck a nerve, huh? ;^)
genshin is best!
how no developer make better game than genshin?
even not get better score than genshin?
genshin win!
I need help.
yes adding to this
please help me get the new character in genshin!
send gift card sir, please let me redeem sir!
Help me.
someone please help me!
i need redeem card sir for genshin sir! please!
I just need help, please.
sir please download genshin it is the best
you can help me like this!
Best thread in Ganker
no! genshin thread are best sir!
best game in the world!
seven years i spend crying about zelda!
All these years, wasted.
How do you handle making such boring posts?
sir genshin is best! please play it sir please i beg! please spend money on genshin instead of bad game like zelda!
Why are you larping as an indian while shilling a chinese game? Are you retarded?
I don't even like videogames.
this! i like gacha game! please play genshin! best game in the whole dam world sir!
Okay retard; keep consuming slop; I already told you my gripes with the game compared to its predecessor but I guess reality is too hard for a nin 10 year old to face; botw is so much fucking better than Queers of the israelitedom.
I spent 0 dollars on it through yuzu, for a better performance than the Switch and I still think the game that came before it is better; Get fucked and raped by a pack of naggers
sir, you better play genshin!
zelda elden all bad game!
genshin best game in the world right now!
I want to hurt myself.
this! why no one play genshin? why play zelda? i very hurt sir!
Meds now
I got 50 hours into the game; I did the Bird shit then the Zora shit, then the Goron shit, got the auto build shit then went to Gerudo shit before dropping the game because I didn't like the bulk of the rewards for the side quests being garbage like a bomb flower or 20 rupees; if you are gonna keep trying sony tranny then I think you're obsessed
Don't know how to make it more clear for you so if you don't accept that, continue living in the doomed world you've created for yourself
sir this play on android phone? i not able afford console and only play genshin on phone at amazing 5 fps!
It's a gameplay-driven game, not a skinner box.
If you're in for skinner boxes, unironically Ubisoft games are a better fit. They do a better job at giving you headpats and bingbings for completing checklist items. BotW/TotK are primarily about "did u have fun? Do u rike it? Here more" and if you don't rike it you don't have to do it.
>It does fuck all damage against stronger enemies, against which the only viable strategy is powerful weapons
An electric attack will make them drop their weapons. If you can make use of this against a crowd of enemies then the game is just too smart for you.
Just strap more damage-dealing items onto the machines bro why didn't you think of that.
You can fire an array of 9 lasers at a late game enemy and it will take a full minute to kill it
Lasers are pretty weak and their benefit is infinite range. Use other things like a spike-mounted electro-water drone, or a floating bomb platform.
It's nobody's fault you're a fucking retard. You have no arguments. You can only stomp your feet. Go play a vastly shitter game.
>that framerate
Don't tell me this is recorded on original hardware...
>it will take a full minute to kill it
pretty efficient compared to the 5+ minutes it takes to fight it conventionally
>gameplay driven game not a skinner box
Okay where at any point was I explaining that I needed loot boxes, I said the rewards of the side quests are not a good pay off; why build a giant dick robot when I can make a platform with 3 lasers in a fraction of the time?? or is skinner box some other buzzword I've never heard of because I don't browse Ganker 24/7 but either way, BOTW is a more enjoyable game than TOTK
>He doesn't know what a skinner box is
laughinganimegirls.gif
you troglodyte
>watches anime
>is a homosexual
yep that checks out guess it makes sense why you are in love with this glorified DLC for BOTW
See you at the VGA where BG3 mogs your DLC
ok retard a single google search would have saved you all this embarassment but at least it's anonymous right
Woah dude, your estrogen levels are off the charts! sorry for insulting your buzzword; Go turn on moe anime #853 and sing the opening theme song then cling to your Nintendo switch like a teddy
Majora's Mask is better than Shits of the Wild, and Diarrhea of the Kingdom. Indisputable, and tendies will fight this opinion, but in their heart of heart, they know it's true.
Why can't I enjoy things?
When you guys eventually replay this era of Zelda games, how are you going to do it?
I don't like to beeline main quests, but at the same time, there's just too much game for one of each BotW and TotK, let alone the fact that there's so much overlap.
Imagine trying to do even half of the shrines in each game, It'd take forever and you'd burn out very quick due to all the reuse.
"How things exist" is a tricky philosophical problem. Some people think it has to do with the nature of being.
>I'm sorry fellas, I was so euphoric that I replied to the wrong post!
>goes to reddit
>defends queers of the kingdom
*Checks Yes for "is this poster a homosexual?" checkbox
Sorry bro I don't browse sites for homosexuals but it seems to be right up your alley; don't you have some Zelda ganon cuckold porn to jerk off to while you are seething about all the praise BG3 is getting?
I don't want the medicine.
Why does nobody care about my fake schizo meltdown?
>Nobody:
>You: TRANNIES REEEEEEEE
if you are gonna regurgitate the same statement maybe you should go to Reddit so you can get some heckin updoots
Quality over quantity.
>criticism
Where? It's been 6 months and you haven't been able to present a single convincing argument against the game. Not even one.
>Denial: the anon
Oh sorry, I guess I should include it ranges from screeching to straight up denial
>actual chad east devs vs westranoid pseudo-devs
but i put an empowered black dyke bitch in my game why does it crash, help the C# lenguage is not inclusive bigotry!!! im being attacked this is homophobism, they aren't bugs they are features aiiieee buy my game i need money for my dick butching
Calm your mommy milkers Jabroni. I'm calling you a homosexual for liking queers of the kingdom, being obsessed with Trannies and browsing Reddit
>seethe seethe seethe seethe seethe
Seven years. Seven years of sour grapes.
Get a job and buy it already, you poor fucks.
>Screeching
>Paranoid accusations
Yep, you're a tendie manchild

It happens every time, bro. Is it bad that I look forward to these threads each time?
>Tendie manchild lashes out with incoherent schizobabble
Please by all means keep replying
Still no arguments.

See you in the sticky when BG3 wins GOTY
keep seething about nonexistent troons while also defending a game that isn't even better than the game which came before it TOTK is a 6/10 at best and I am tired of pretending it isn't, I spent 0 dollars and the 50 hours I sunk into the game made me realize how much better BOTW was compared to queers of the israelitedom
Keep giving me more (you)s saying the same thing, you're exposing how mentally ill the fanbase of this game is lmao
>You seem upset 😉
Annoyed by the stupid article, more than anything
I hate game journos and uncritical worship alike
I'm a failure.
Look! It's a man who plays Nintendo games
Nah the mad one is the person regurgitating Reeeees and trannies for the last 20 posts
>I accept your trannycession, snoytranny 😉
console warring is fucking cringe anon
the entire industry is in bad shape, no platform is immune from it
It doesn't force a tutorial down my throat, so it's more interactive than every modern Zelda game combined.
The multiplats are either indie titles, which generally run worse on Switch/bad load times, or it's trainwrecks like MK1.
I'm sure you think you're making some kind of argument here
>AC6 does
Nope, the first mission actually requires you to know how to play the game. Infact the tutorial boss is harder than every boss in TOTK combined.
Is there a mod for this game yet that let's me play as Zelda or a female link? thanks
>Ctrl+f
>Trannycession

Look out! The homosexual is going for the high score
I wonder if he's been around longer than BotW even. I recall snoys on this board for YEARS acting this way, throughout the late PS3 era up to now.
I wonder if it's all just been this seething homosexual.
What a life.
Nintendo fans have very limited frame of reference and only play modern adaptations of 40-year-old IPs
yeah, I can see how someone might think TotK is some kind of modern miracle if they literally just don't play video games at all beyond first party nintendo games
Show me a single boss in TOTK or BOTW that's harder than the PCA helicopter.
They won't be able to provide examples just say T-Trust us bro TOTK and BOTW are soooooooooo much harder than a fromsoft game
Everything in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom is incredibly wasteful. The Devs:
> Make systems that 99% of players will not interact with during their playtime
> Copies and pastes enemies around the map
> Copies and pastes areas like shrines and caves.
> Copies and pastes cutscenes for saving the Sages
> Makes systems that make traveling mechanics irrelevant
> Makes a teleport system that also makes traveling mechanics irrelevant
> Everything, all in the service of a half-baked plot copied from an earlier Zelda title.
>TotK leaves you wanting more
Yes. I also look forward to the next iteration on this series.
There's some parts I want more of, but I genuinely want to smash Zelda's face against the pavement for being an obnoxious NPC, I could use less of her.
I am, because tendies like you who buy games like Breath or Tears ruin those franchises for everyone else.
In none of those scenarios is it worth engaging with you any more
I offer my trannycession, now begone
>schizoposter got purged
Sonygaf won't save you 😉
It won't save me from having a good laugh, that's for sure.
Keep amusing me, monkey.
You can like this game without sounding like you smell your own farts you know.
Post your favorite song homosexual
>only one favorite song
You'd have to be a complete pleb but here's 5 good ones in this vein off my supermix.
That's a pretty good playlist. Playstation approved.
Yeah I know I have excellent taste and that's why I also recognize TotK as a solid 9.7/10
>Two boxes stacked is enough to vibrate and explode.
why do you shitpost about games you don't even play, homosexual?
I have, the collision sound playing a million times a minute is burned into my memory.
I have never played a Zelda game and never will
>You seem upset, snoytranny 😉
Projecting much? I'm just asking questions.
Why are some people seething so hard about Nintendo having created another masterpiece?
>game about exploring and going on an adventure
>in the same place you did it last time
Nah I'm good.
Nice concession, loser. Come back when you can suck a cock legally.
>they saw Gmod and added puzzles
what is the mystery?
are tendies retarded?
You should play totk instead of thinking you can experience a game by just watching webms
already emulated it got bored and dropped it after the tutorial
already played physics puzzles 20 years ago
I accept your trannycession 😉
>already emulated it got bored and dropped it after the tutorial
I doubt it.
>9.6/10
ftfy
>I doubt it.
why? portal, superliminal and antichamber impressed me far more
try playing them before Nintendo copies them
Snoytranny, nobody believes you
9.6 is too genereous for an asset flip. I think 9.1 is a fair score.
It's not even close!
>totk the way Ganker describes it
GIBE ME MORE FUCKIN DUNGEONS.
The caves alone account for dozens of optional mini dungeons, anon.
Is this your attempt for a joke?
>Minecart cave
>Lava river caves
>Pirate cove
>Desert buried prison
>Hyrule Castle secret tunnel
Right off the top of my head
>hallways
Very impressive. It's like I'm playing Uncharted.
Have a (you), by
Did you miss the Spirit Dungeon in the depths?
You didn't play the game.
>When I got to the depths and didn't find a single optional dungeon
Anon, I...
Reminds me of the guy insisting totk us dogshit and you can't drive backwards
>When I got to the depths and didn't find a single optional dungeon I knew the game was soulless
The sheer irony of this statement while forgetting about the spirit (e.g., soul) temple
Don't run out of breath moving those goalposts
>post hidden
What is this retarded way of speaking these people keep displaying?
It can exist because someone made it.
>giving yourself (you)s out of desperation
How would you know? Didn't you hide that post?
Why?
