Has Unreal 5 just killed the AAA dev? Polacks with a team of 30 men and a budget of tracksuits can make games better looking any AAA game now.

Looks like shit.
this shows why people say unreal engine looks cartoony and fake as shit
>cartoony
Wtf do you think cartoony is? This is as photoreal as it gets.
looks like a pre-rendered background from PS2 era with those fake ass textures, the truck looks like a toy
>looks like a pre-rendered background from PS2 era
Great aesthetic. More games should try to replicate the early 2000s CGI vibe.
>photorealism in vidya
cringe as fuck
Looks fake. I can tell because of the pixels
>indie games are as pozzed as triple A slop right now
it's over
how fragile do you have to be that the mere sight of nagger makes you retract in fear?
>fear
This is like the homo"phobia" cope. Nobody likes you.
>the silk road as justification
I don't think the author knows how silk road trading works
Anon, you do know that Robocop takes place in Detroit, right?
some of them are pretty cute tho
naggers? In Detroit? The nerve!
shut up you autist
why wouldn't they be? nothing can get funded if it's ESG rating isn't good enough
>naggers everywhere
>in Detroit
You're a special kind of retarded.
all of them are cute. especially the one on the very right
Yeah, Detroit should be filled with white dudes...
ummmmmmm sweetyyyyy I don't know if anyone has told you yet but this game takes place in detroit
It isnt robocop without some nagger cops. Seethe tranny
They know detriot in the 80s better than you
Maybe chuds just don't have any creativity or ability to make games/movies/tv shows/ or anything really
no, that's just how america looks like now
looks way better than the diversity shit in AAA games, they look like realistic normal people instead of mutant pandering stand-ins
it is acceptable here because detroit is actually full of blacks so the 'representation' isn't forced for checking a box for esg
It's literally detroit
OH MY POST-PROCESSING
Unreal 5 shadows look surprisingly good.
redpill me on this weeb sekiro ripoff. I saw threads on it earlier but i was at work.
>take all sekiro animations
>get a bunch of free assets
>combine the two
>fromsoft doesn't give a shit because they're not nintendo, so the game is still on steam
the only reason to play it over sekiro is if you're tired of sekiro but you like the gameplay
What game? Phonenagger here.
very barebones even for an indie games, only boss battles
some movesets are ripped straight from sekiro kek, it's more a tech demo than a game
kannagi usagi
Its a free game, anyone who said anything besides "its free, play it yourself" is a dumb fucking nagger.
>Unreal 5 shadows look surprisingly good.
It's not a shadow, just stencils. Model is flattened to look like a cut-out and just rendered a millimeter above the floor. Doom 3 had exactly the same surprisingly good shadows.
I already associate realism with cheap low effort shit.
yeah contrarians do that
yeah im sure you value random pictures your phone takes over paintings and art because realism is so inherently impressive. realism is no longer associated with high effort, its asset flip unreal tech demo shit now.
sorry weeb but real life will always look better than your gay cartoons
this has nothing to do with taste. When every game that comes out uses UEs default render with their free mega texture library, using the same metahuman generated models and asset store environmental dressing you begin to associate realism with polish and chinese steam store spam.
You could go for an oil painting style rather than a cartoon style.
games looking good is a meme that got old in 2014
i dont even see graphics anymore
They can make shitty unoptimized games thanks to Unreal Engine 5
Seems pretty well optimized unless you use epic meme settings
>seems well optimized
>Uses the overly expensive top of the line GPU
Amazing "optimization" you got there.
nagger, 4090 is having troubles hitting 4K 60 fps on low settings in latest western games
Highest settings at 4K60 target the most powerful GPU, seems reasonable to me.
>The best running and looking UE5 game is fucking Robocop made by some poles
The absolute state of western devs
>Lowest settings can't even hit 120FPS
>tfw 144Hz monitor
4K is a meme. Prove me wrong.
What does it have to do with anything?
4K is kino as hell on m 75“ oled
>4090
I wish people would stop pretending that having a £1500 GPU or a 4k monitor is normal.
You seem like one of people who genuinely complain about CPU benchmarks being done at 720p low settings.
>Native 4k
How? I don't have any options to turn off upscaling tech. You can just choose between different upscalers.
Using FSR2 or DLSS at 100% resolution means you're using only their respective TAA solution.
FSR2 and DLAA do better AA than Unreal's native TAA.
The problem isn't ue5 its devs that lack creativity and piss poor art art direction
some games actually do a good job with it, like fortnite (ignoring its meme status) and pic related
competent devs will be able to make ue5 their bitch instead of the other way around
>that
>good job
the point I'm making here is that devs aren't inherently limited by ue5. Its a tool that give them a default set of features and presents to work with. If they decide to go beyond that and create their own unique and special styles, or do nothing and stick with the basic settings, its all up to them
>here's your 5 fps movie
Cyberpunk unironically looked better.
Slavs doing gods work is why there's a vested interest in destabilizing slav-lands with limited wars.
I hope the puddles maymay will stop some day
>engine is used by everyone from shovelware to AAA devs
Where have I seen that before?
Looks pretty neat. This some tech demo or an actual product?
the new Robocop game
Games are not about graphics, when will you idiots ever learn this?
yeah, but it is always so static. No destruction, UE worlds never feel real. It's all just a nice looking movie set that is indestructible.
That's not the engine's fault, modern devs are just worried if they have physics props in their games it'll be janky.
Physics can be a pain to work with depending how much it impacts gameplay
Also since UE5 uses epics own chaos physics which can absolutely kill performance since it's single threaded compared to physx being multithreaded, most basic tasks are 10-30% more expensive on the CPU and anything more advanced kills even high end machines unless a ton of work is done to ensure good performance.
sadly, it's mostly about lights and shadows... shadows tend to tank performance from the days of F.E.A.R., on the other hand, the Finals is built in UE5 and has pretty good destruction ( as for physics, it depends )
Do devs ever go out? Things aren't that reflective.
Yeah, right
This is what I saw when I go outside
