Muh guns tho??? Pew pew pew!

        Anonymous

The original Shadow Tower didn't have guns, it was just another iteration of the original King's Field with very few improvements from KF 2 and 3, but a few of its own unique ideas most of which were poorly implemented
Shadow Tower Abyss is the one with guns and it's actually good

Abyss was really good. I love how they blended medieval and modern asthetics. You can equip a fedora while wearing breast plate armour and combat boots. It's just a shame you can't see how goofy your character model looks.

DS2 at the beginning was utter shit
total letdown from ds1 level-design and fight-wise and buggy as hell
i remember having to use four different weapons because the devs tied weapon degradation to fps (???) and my wep losing 5% durability when i accidentally hit a wall before it connected to an enemy with a single swing

    Entirety of Elden Ring.

I recently started Demon's Souls and it's fricking laughable how much ER tried to copy it while completely failing at it. It feels as if Elden Ring is some shitty fan made title or as if FromSoft completely forgot what they were doing.

The first (and funniest) part is that DeS intro has more effort put into it than ER, because at least with DeS there are some effects/animated parts while ER is just a shitty PowerPoint presentation through and through (probably because the rewrites had them cut whatever original CGI intro was).

Then you have other elements, such as Melina being their attempt to fixing the Level Up girl, so now she speaks in the BACKGROUND instead of you having to click through multiple lines of dialogue every time like with Firekeeper in DS3, BUT this time around she disappears for 99% of the game so you will forget her by the time she's back.

Another thing i noticed is how fricking plain and easy to understand the story is. Intro explains shit properly, then you meet MiB and then after Phalanx she tells you to talk to the monk who basically tells you what happened, what you need to do and why this is important. Similarly in Dark Souls 1 - everyone important tells you what you need to do and what are the stakes.

NOTHING of the sorts happens in Elden Fart. There is no fricking story whatsoever. You are a random Dark Souls Guy who is dropped in yet another not-Lordran who wakes up in a random church for no reason (the reason is cut content/rewrites/rushed development but that's besides the point, talking about the release game interpretation). Then NO ONE tells you what is going on and why shit is important. No one tells you what Elden Ring even fricking is. You are just expected to understand to do Dark Souls stuff, kill everything on sight and collect pieces of random lore for YouTubers to piece together in some schizo interpretation.

From have flanderized their formula and storytelling to a breaking point.

Yeah, with Dark Souls 3. I had unexpected good time with first Dark Souls, fantastic experience with DaS 2 (started with Scholar instead of original so maybe that's why) so I expected third game to be great as well. It was not. Third DaS was made entirely for their moronic YT fanbase and "experts", removing everything good from 2 and keeping worst elements of 1. No, you can't just upgrade weapons or level up without locking yourself out of co-op, no you can't have different weapons since everything more unique than basics have stat requirements high enough to block anything else than certain build, no you can't have different routes, everything must be linear and "balanced" for internet experts and their cattle, no you can't have FUN.

Didn't play Elden Dick because of EAC malware but I heard it's a lot like DaS 2, by the way.

Elden ring should have ended at the capital, I beat all of it eventually but I would have prefered if the consecrated snowfields was shrunk down and farum azula was either optional or happened earlier.

The game how to much empty space and the ability to just ride away from any danger made the enemies feel far less intimidating than past games and ruined the atmosphere.

There are a lot of things I dislike about Sekiro (way too easy once you learn how to parry, positioning barely matters) and DS2 (ruined the feel of the game everything slides everywhere spams ranged enemies and bullshit mobs as often as possible) but I still think they are good games Elden ring is the one I regret wasting time on.

Elden Ring. It's open world slop that was released unfinished. All the characters are ugly body type A and B's. Story and lore is pretty shit as well.

Elden ring. The more I progresses, the worse it got. Too many copy-paste enemies and boss, abhorrent/inconsistent level design. I say inconsistent because there genuinely were some good ones. The area that's not open world but a proper souls area, the one before malekith felt great to explore. Then you are confronted with arguably the most cheap boss design in all of From history. Bosses also become "too anime" with their 30-hit mid-air combos and flips while barely allowing the player to fight back. At a certain point I was just done and cleared the rest of the game with mostly spearing-poking while abusing barricade shield (after the first nerf when it became more reactive).
I reinstalled it not too long ago only to find weapons being turned into complete dogshit and skill working completely different than before because muh balance updates in a single player game.

    Demon's Souls.
Admitted I played the (de)remake, but I highly doubt my opinion will improve much by playing the original unless I emulate it on pc and mod most of the clunk out of it.

Bloodborne. I see people praise this game as it's the god tier souls game, the holy messiah of gaming. So good everybody wants it ported to PC. After getting my hands on a PS5 and playing it, it felt so mediocre. The hub doesn't even have any characters besides the Doll with 3 dialogue options. And the game goes from a Lovecraftian look to a lame Eldritch horror look the more you progress.Got a platinum trophy and played Old Hunters DLC, and I still wonder why people praise it so much. I am convinced that the people who want BB on PC haven't even played it since the year 2014 or have never played it at all and just follow a hype trend.

I didn't hate it, the game has it strengths. It has some nice weapons and cool outfits. But I'm disappointed because I expected something more from a game everybody hails as the best. It's not even in comparison to DS1. The best FS games are DS3, Elden Ring and Sekiro bar none. Bloodborne is overhyped.

This, tbh. It's all style but has less substance than regular DS. Weapon switching looks cool but functionally it's no different from swapping one weapon to a different one in your hand. In actual combat most transformation attacks suck dick so It's always better to stick to one form. All the outfits are pretty much the same stat wise and you can't uprgrade them (the only ones with actual functionality are those protecting from madness when you have to deal with Lanterns, which are easily top 3 most annoying enemies in any souls game) .The starting weapons are good enough to beat the whole game with so there's no sense of progression. And the actual storyline feels unfinished, it just fricking ends after Mergo out of nowhere when it should have had at least one more dream layer to explore. If its Lovecraftian / Victorian style doesn't impress you then the whole game will be a bland samey dud for you.
But on the other hand Old Hunters is the best DLC fromsoft has ever released, the hype for it was completely justified. Charged backstabs and gun parrying were great too. If not for that I would've ranked it below DS2.

I've been disappointed by many FROM games over the years, but the more notable cases might be
    >OTOGI
It was pretty damn bad, OTOGI 2 was a bit better though, still janky as all frick, some good ideas for movement mechanics at least
    >AC NX
Really bad game overall, barely salvaged by an admittedly stellar OST
    >AC FF
Asset flip shovelware only notable for being AC's own Carnage Heart and paving the way for UNACs
    >AC4
Somehow worse than AC3 as a generation opener while also being easier and more boring, good OST though
    >ACV
    WHAT WERE THEY THINKING.avi
    >King's Field Additional games
Pretty horrible and barely even King's Field games, what were they thinking?
    >Tenchu: Shadow Assault
Overall just a terrible game and an insult to the Tenchu series, but to be fair Tenchu was already kinda dead by then, only Tenchu Z managed to be passable
    >Bloodborne
Dark Souls, but with two colours (grey and dark blue), Black personmen and overall less everything, and no Old Hunters didn't really fix anything, easily the most overrated of their modern games
    >Sekiro
Aborted Tenchu game with DDR style gameplay and no content, pretty great level design admittedly but that's not enough to save it
