I got Nomura'd and I loved it. I've found a decent place to farm relic gear with around 700% summon blessing so I'm going to go full autist until my main set at least is all Bahamut 700%. How are you farming, my brothers in Chaos?

Got this sword from the preorder
Was it ever obtainable in the dlc?

I missed the preorder and I haven't seen the sword, only the Garland armour.

Just kinda blindly farming while I try to climb rifts.and I still need to play around with summons and find one that works for me What place drops such high summon blessing anyway?

There's a new Trial of the Dragon King that boosts enemies massively, I'm running Memories of Wind on Rank XI, just run to the second save point where the three flans spawn and bully the shit out of them with Aeroga.

Just got a slightly different version of it, more ornate, called the "Cyclic Greatsword"

Nope, both it and the WoL sword and shield haven't ever been available in the game otherwise. He did have a different set and greatsword in this game though which was just added in DLC3.

He sure did, and it was incredible. DLC delivered hard on just about everything I wanted, the gun is fun as frick and the new boss movesets are incredible, they somehow managed to outdo themselves hard on even the Bahamut movesets.

I'm surprised I haven't seen many people going nuts over the fact The Transcendent has most of the big signature moves from FF villains throughout the series.

How are the guns and gun jobs? Giving jack an unlimited range option sounds like it would be kinda broken but I've also heard people do practically infinite MP RM stuff so maybe it's not anything new.

Gun is awesome, very powerful at range as you'd expect but it's not infinite range and takes a bit of precision to really do cool stuff with it, with the exception of one combo ability it's still pretty balanced all things considered. Marksman's interrupt (well all basic job moves are weapon abilities now and can be used by all jobs) is kinda insane but also doesn't quite break things since the stun window is short enough, though it's hilarious using it on bosses like the Black Knight. Hunter I wasn't too interested in but is very potent and Gambler surprised me a ton with how cool it is and how many abilities you can roll. One time I used it I rolled Ultima and Chaosbringer.

        >The Transcendent has most of the big signature moves from FF villains throughout the series.
I think it's because FF has already been 'membering all the past games constantly these days, so it's not as much of a surprise.

It's a bit more than that, the game in particular was in part an anniversary game and has levels taken from the whole series literally in this case because the Lufenians were observing and copying the other games/dimensions. So The Transcendent being the big boss Lufenian having them is cool enough, but then you're basically fighting the embodiment of all the FF antagonists as the original antagonist that started it all.

Yes, but after like multiple years of XIV going 'member (game)' to the point of featuring bosses and locations from them, it's not really special to see a boss bust out some old boss attacks.

I love its boss roster. Probably one of the most well-rounded in videogames. The closest I have to a boss that I hate is Dragom Zombie (and maybe Lich). Every other boss is at least good.
Refreshingly, there's not a single "gimmick" or "puzzle" boss across the base game and the three DLCs (and the DLC bosses are particularly awesome, just like with Nioh games). Team Ninja made sure every boss had longevity, especially with them giving higher difficulty bosses new moves as well as variants like a Deviant version/subspecies in a Monster Hunter game.

it would be a missed opportunity not to license limp bizkit's My Way as the sendoff song once they're done with story DLC

    Like Nomura.

    >"Nomura-san is a visionary. ... There was one time when the team was stuck for a week [solving] a level design problem, and he solved it in five minutes. He looks at the game in its completion, it's already there in his head."
FFXV lead game designer, Versus XIII (!) and Type-0 level designer, Metronomik co-founder, and No Straight Roads co-creator and co-director Wan Hazmer

    >"I felt artistically respected and appreciated by Mr. Nomura for the first time since I started living in Japan. He showed me his deep trust in my potential ... [and] me as a human being. Before I started working for Square Enix ... I just felt exploited."
FFXV, Versus XIII (!), Type-0, VII Remake, SoP: FFO and KH3 character designer Roberto Ferrari

    >"Of those that remain at Square Enix that are committed to doing the work [of maintaining Square's craft] that we did, I feel that it's Takai and Tetsu (FFVII series creative director Tetsuya Nomura)."
Chocobo, Moogle and Mana creator, and FFXI OG director Koichi Ishii (thank you based Stellagay for translating)

    >"I’m quite sure he has the most titles with “FF” in their name under his belt. So at least among the veteran members, he’s recognized as the creative mind who embodies FF, and I believe that in a sense, Mr. Ishii has entrusted the future of the FF series to Tetsu."
FFXI producer, IV, V, XIV and Chrono Trigger battle director Akihiko Matsui

    >"[Yoshi-P] said all the popular job theories were wrong. So no Geo, no Chem, no Corsair, no Necro, no Rune Fencer. It's Reaper. ... Nomura got in Yoshi's ear after Eden and said every member of his Organization XIII was based on a Final Fantasy Job except Marluxia who was a Reaper. This is just to give KH a bigger FF connection."
https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/543280018/#q543287378 on FFXIV director, XIV and XVI producer Naoki Yoshida

This fricking guy. Square needs to let him make only the games he wants to make. Yes, especially that one.

    N-Nomura-sama, I kneel.

      Don't stay within the dark.

      >"The most amazing thing about [Nomura], I think, is his power to imagine. It's so detailed. He can tell if there's something off in just a fraction of a pixel. We'll be looking at an image we output and his instructions will be like adjust this part of the character's eye by 98-point-something percent and then move it to the left by x number of dots. It's unbelievable... I don't know I can do it."
FFX gadget designer and background art director, XII, XIII, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, XV, The 3rd Birthday and Paper Mario: The Origami King art director, and Harvestella concept artist Isamu Kamikokuryo

      >"[Nomura] has this strange power to take CG characters and make them so convincing as people. He produces characters as a complete package. Visuals are just the start. He's thinking about their animation, the whole way they carry themselves. Their attitude, how they express themselves -- a lot of little details. That's what makes Tetsuya Nomura such a talented creator."
Bahamut Lagoon scenario writer, FFX and VII Remake event director, X-2, XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns director Motomu Toriyama

      >"This exposes one of our shortcomings at Monolith, but for this project, Saito-san (Masatsugu Saito – main character Design) and Tek-kun (Tetsuya Nomura – Torna Character Design) covered for and supported us on the character design front, and I’m truly thankful to them for their efforts."

      >"During my time at Square, I met very talented designers such as Nomura-kun, and it would be a dream-come-true to have someone as talented (Although we did get Nomura-kun for Xenoblade 2). If only we had someone like that at Monolith Soft..."
FFIV and V graphic designer, VI graphic director and mechanical designer, VII pitchman, and Xeno co-creator Tetsuya Takahashi

Without Nomura, kino is doomed to descend into CHAOS. Nomura and his fellow heir to Square (including Final Fantasy) Hiroshi Takai, bring that kino.

      Yes, you /will/ kneel.

FF15 is like AC7. Both suffered from pretty serious internal development issues at around the same time. So I'd judge it on that, and not purely on how much it wastes its own potential - because they were basically ordered to ship out anything they had.

I just started using the teleport ability in Bahamut difficulty. I can't fricking believe I wasn't using it earlier this shit is so broken

Teleport is cool as frick, probably one of the best abilities for harder difficulties.

It's pretty great, I'd probably use it a lot more if we weren't nonsensically limited to only 3 command abilities. It can work very well with guns since it maintains aim stance if you teleport during an ability that would normally take you out of it.
