      all orbital stratagems are bugged since day one as well, and have an extra 2 seconds added to call in time. stratagem menu on the ship displays the correct time.
      this bug has been in the game since day one, affecting a core gameplay mechanic universally, and they havent fricking fixed it. the devs are so fricking useless it's incredible.

        If you bring an MG43 or HMG to my lobby, I'm automatically kicking you. We need 4 players with AT because there's gonna be 3-4 BTs gangraping the drill at once and they all need to die. No, a rail cannon isn't enough firepower. We need 4 players with spears and recoilless rifles

The absolute most I will compromise on this is someone bringing a grenade launcher to cuck faraway bile spewers.

              The man carried autocannon is plenty good here for a chaff clearer especially when it drops spewer heavy. In my experience now the drill platforms are usually in an area with chokepoints so it's easy to really mince the brood commanders/hive guard/any lessers with them. Nade Launcher is perfectly serviceable but it's fighting resupplies with the RR/Spear if you don't also bring an ammo pack and that means dropping something else.

              Shield stratagem also lets you tactically position the drill into stupid places by sticking it to yourself which can make the mission infinitely easier than anything else also.

    Do you think AH knows they created one of the least fun, buggy games known to man with so many glitches that it's difficult to enjoy anything? The gameplay is a great concept but it's fricking HAMSTRUNG but the terrible decisions the morons at AH made like

    >Damage when not host is STILL bugged
    >Half of the weak points on enemies still don't count
    >A bunch of enemies take no damage if you hit a limb or an invisible hitbox
    >Enemies can glitch out into multiple versions of different animations, meaning a hunter or a stalker can attack non-stop for five solid seconds and stunlock you
    >Planet effects still have a 100% chance to play during extraction
    >Unfun modifiers can still stack

    HALF OF THESE WOULD HAVE BEEN PRIORITY 1 FIXES IN ANY OTHER GAME, only in thsi game is it okay for these bugs to persist FIVE MONTHS AFTER THE GAME LAUNCHED

      And you know what the worst part is? When you stun a charger and the motherfricker can still turn around to face you while it is stunned. So if you have a weapon that can't blow its head off, but could damage its only vulnerable spot, you can't even get behind it to exploit it.

        Chargers and stunning are a match made in fricking hell, cause bugs have no stun condition or animations like bots do, and instead just stop in place. Chargers can retain their vrlocity, and even keep it once they do their "walk over and instakill" attack. Nothing more frustrating than a Charger powerwalking at you and killing you before you can react.

      No, spear has never been nerfed only buffed. But Bile Titan in general is just very fricky. Maybe they change how it's health and body parts work at some point.

    This is the one mission HMG encampment is kino. Literally just face it towards the drill and you get 30+ kills with 0 drill damage. HMG can deal with all the zerg rushing the drill as long as someone takes out titans

      There's two main objectives:
      >Call down the dark fluid (why...?)
      >Inject the dark fluid into the three drill sites.
      You can only complete the second main objective, but it counts for the FIRST main objective on the results screen, with the second going incomplete instead.

      As such, the most you can get is 1 star on the mission. At present anyway; Arrowhead is aware of the issue.

          What the frick am I supposed to shoot with it? It deals dogshit durability damage for Biles and isn't exactly efficient against chargers either. It's fine at Bile Spewers I guess? But the thing has 2 uses and 10 minute cooldowns and I get to use it to dramatically impact basically one event during that time, while the act of just walking around the map aggros everything towards too.

          Against bots it can properly mulch lots of things but unfortunately you just got exploded by a cannon turret in the distance you couldn't see so that's a real shame.

              Can you tell me how many shots it takes to kill a Bile Titan with the mech perfectly hitting the forehead every time? How many shots does it take for a charger? It's not a good solution to either. It is just worse than all your on foot options. At least the Patriot mech's missiles, at one point anyways, were just as good as having EATs etc. It works okay when you combine another teammate using man launchers to soften it up but it's still just not actually very good as a heavy pen weapon platform at all.

            Actually if you focus a single leg, AC mech shreds chargers before they can get to you. You can just wade through small bugs, your walk animation will kill most of them, only focus on bugs when they group up, take down the acid/bile spewers and anything in that class. Because of your durability, you don't need to litearlly kill everything because it can't kill you, just keep waddling and close all the bug holes and you'll get your values worth.

If they were worried about patriot rockets exploding in the tube, they could have just gave the rockets a 0.1s arming time. Literally just measure how many frames it takes for the rocket to leave the tube and turn off the collision until that frame count is over...

        Nah, AC is way better still vs. bots. The patriot rockets are too slow at killing titans to really matter and you can do maybe two but then have rockets for nothing else. Meanwhile that's the only thing the AC mech can't handle so it's actually way more flexible, especially since a single one of your 150 AC shots closes bug holes.
        Mechs still sucks vs. bots. But AC mech is just a straight upgrade to the Exo currently.

      knowing that, i think durable damage is its own "special" damage type, separate from your normal damage, that specifically affects heavily armored sections, aka "durable" enemy health, or "large" enemy health like i think they've said in a patch or something.

      so, the Autocannon Mech:
      300 Normal damage
      60 Durable damage
      when shooting a bile titan's armor, which the AC Mech's AP is equal to, it deals half of its durable damage, thus 30 damage. the "normal" 300 damage is completely negated.

      i might be wrong, but its something like that. no clue how this was found out, just what ive seen

      Eruptor, Machine Gun, Heavy Machine Gun, Machine Gun Sentry.

      Eruptor's damage was completely neutered when its shrapnel was removed. It lost all its killing power, and the very slow chamber clear speed combined with its weak damage means other primaries are far more reliable at killing the same enemies faster and keeping you alive. When it had its shrapnel it could clean house like the rest of them, and the low magazine capacity, slow reload speed, and slow chamber clear offset how good it was at punishing one thing in particular.

      Machine Gun is just sad. It has AP4 bullets, but they don't last anywhere near long enough, and stationary reload means you're gonna be vulnerable to anything more dangerous than a Hive Guard. Brood Commanders and Chargers can use crushing charges, both Spewer types will instantly melt your face, and Bile Titans are out of the question. It needs either much more ammo (like 75% the capacity of the Stalwart), or a much faster reload time.

      Heavy Machine Gun has the same problems as the Machine Gun, but with the kick of a horse to boot. Solve it the same way as the Machine Gun; more bullets in each magazine or faster reload. You could even differentiate the two by giving the Machine Gun the faster reload and the Heavy Machine Gun more bullets, thus encouraging faster run and gun with the Machine Gun and slower, stationary fire from the HMG.

      Machine Gun Sentry is outclassed in every single way by the Gatling Sentry. They both have a 180 second cooldown, but the Gatling Sentry both has more bullets and they do more damage and have a higher armor piercing value. So instead halve the cooldown for the Machine Gun Sentry. Let it be called in every minute and a half. Faster sentries, faster distractions from incoming threats, while leaving the Gatling Sentry to actually be the workhorse in murdering said threats instead.

      Also let the Blitzer benefit from the lightning chain ship module. Because why the frick shouldn't it?

        I usually bring Orbital Precision Strike to bug missions to deal with Bile Titans because it's strong and has a fast cooldown, but someone convinced me to bring Orbital Railcannon Strike to the new TCS mission so I don't destroy the drills with my orbital strikes, and after having tried using that, I can say that person is a fricking moron. If there's 3 Bile Titans out and my Railcannon is on its 300 second cooldown, nobody's doing the objective. I would much rather destroy the drill with a faster orbital strike and down the Titan to be able to try again faster than to run around like a moron because big bug is a meanie and won't let me play with my toys.

                Personally, I cover swarms with a Gatling Sentry and HMG Emplacement. Let bullets be the scalpel for the cancer that are Terminids. Which leaves my other two slots for anti-armor. I usually go with the Flamethrower (which also kills Chargers), and Orbital Precision for Titans, which can often chain kill them when one dying Titan spazzes into another.

                Combined with the Breaker Incendiary for the Shrieker swarm, I the only problems I've had are from moron teammates airstriking the objective.

      The devs shouldn't pussy out of doing things how they should be because in the past they did other things wrong and people rightfully called them out.
      It's nice when you get a genuinely different experience that also makes sense, the mission is exactly what I thought it would be.

      It doesn't when the scoring system is still bugged, you're right.

      It doesn't even if they fix it. Extracting is nice but literally a luxury, especially for what is actually designed as bughell and a suicide mission. There's not really any resources down there I care about or have time to find anyway, I just want to spaghettify the bugs.

Only thing I didn’t like about the mission itself was that you would get like 2-3 BTs literally spawning on the drill but they fixed that. Now if only the ending screen was fixed

        I actually agree, more or less. Bugs spawning directly under the drills was bullshit but this is supposed to be a super colony. There should be times when I can't see the ground under all the bugs coming over the horizon, and I can't see the sun because of all the bugs swooping from the air.

    Pretty much every time I've lost a dark fluid mission it's because the game keeps spawning at least 2 bile titans when you activate a drill, and the playerbase seemingly has no clue how to deal with this if they aren't allowed to spam 500kg bombs

    this was really fricking grim

    I made it so crystal clear to my friends, it's a tiny map and they give us 40 minutes to do, this mission isn't about killing the bugs it's about just slowing them down and stalling them while the drill works. bring EMS, wait for everything to come off cooldown between objectives, take all the time they give us to fortify the area before activating the drill, don't bring anything explosive, our shots damage the drill so don't shoot at it

      The mechs are unironically pretty clutch THOUGH, especially the Patriot mech. It's right arm is a gatling sentry and it's left arm is a titan removal device. Orbital lasers and airstrikes are throwing though.

          Tell your moron friend that he brought the wrong mech. If the bugs ever get in touching distance of the drill, drop an EMS orbital on it to freeze them. In fact, EMS orbitals should be cycled on the drill from the moment it starts up so that any non-titan bug is trapped in place and can't move.

    I want a frontline game mode where multiple squads are trying to push back the enemy
    There could be multiple checkpoints, and if you take them, you can install AA systems at their place, so the bots won't be able to drop there, but also if they take it, they would quickly install jammers so you won't be able to deploy close to it
    If they wanted to make it really cool, they could also add non-helldiver soldier bots that would fight with you, so even if there are no helldivers there, the frontline won't be instantly lost

      I still prefer the RR over the other AT options. Yes, it has a slow and stationary reload, but I like to have my AT on tap ready to go the second I see something that deserves it. I don't like to have to stop and call down more EATs, and I also don't like the windup time of the quasar. Plus I just think the RR looks and feels cool, even if I know the EAT is probably the better option.

        I've been using the reload cancel with it to speed it up, and it makes it really fun. I hear the Spear and the Airburst Launcher can reload cancel too, but I'm not interested in wrangling the Spear and I can't really think of a use for the latter that a gas strike can't already do.

    Worst mission of all time

      I play it because it's fun. If you get a good enemy seed it's pretty easy, if you get a tough enemy seed it can be difficult as frick. I've played dark fluid missions where we couldn't even get to the drill locations without wading through a frickton of bugs, and I needed to break away and close the bug holes before we could make any progress.

      Yes. The aim sway is intentional. Your weapon fires where your weapon is pointed, not where your crosshair is. Plenty of other twitchy pve shooters out there.

    Nursing Spewers are more dangerous than Bile Spewers and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Bile Spewers have weak, inaccurate spew attacks, will mortar their bile anywhere (including at the ground behind them, or at other spewers), and die to any anti-armor. Nursing Spewers will zerg rush you, corner you in, have a magnetic fricking lock on, and their bile hurts a hell of a lot more. If I see fog rolling in I know I'm gonna have a bad time.

    I hate how durable they made spore spewers and shrieker nests. Used to be a single Recoilless Rifle round would take out each. Now it takes all your missiles to kill one shrieker nests cluster.

    How exactly do the enemy spawns in the new mission work?
    I spent some time killing all the nests and closing up bug holes before doing the objectives and it had no impact on enemy spawns whatsoever

      Breaches automatically spawn on the drills like they do in the ore prospecting missions, and they home in on the drills like hellbombs so smoke doesn't work.
