>Palit They any good? It's always hard to get an idea about brands because it's all anectodal.
But yeah, of course a VRAM issue is solved by having a card with more VRAM.
generally the only difference between brands is the cooling, and in that regard *all* manufacturers have good and bad cards. but generally just about any 4080 or 4090 card from anyone is going to be fine because they have all have oversized coolers anyway.
They just work, used them a few times on friends builds and they never had any issues with their cards.
As for RE4 Remake RT is the main culprit of the crashes on cards with lover VRAM.
they should be fine overall. i never had palit card personally but while the name isn't "mainstream" in the west, it's actually a giant company with asian market and not some kind of random crap. so just like with msi/gigabyte/asus etc, it just depends on individual model of the card and featureset.
I have a Palit 3060.
Like the other guy said it mostly comes down to cooling and if you're into RGayB shit then they tend to all have different software to control it. You can also smell the engrish on their website. That said, mine's been a trooper at 2K even though I know it's not its ideal res, and I've had no issues with it so far, except for the fact the rest of my build is kinda frankensteined from multiple brands so the only way to control the tiny lit letters on it is with their Afterburner ripoff, so I almost never bother. It doesn't help either that initially it just defaulted to pure white on boot but nowadays it remains off unless I boot up said software and adjust it manually.
Also it's been great on RE4 but yeah don't even think about gaytracing, and even with 12GB I still play it safe with the 6GB texture setting anyway.
the game shouldn't fricking crash because of vram running out, and the texture look like dogshit to begin with

frame dips, not crash. this is nips not knowing how to make pc ports, once again

Frame rates plummet down to the single digits when the VRAM limit gets hit, and the computer becomes near unusuable as a result. It's much more severe than the GPU not having enough power to render everything. A crash is functionally the same thing, if not better.

so it should just freeze to the point where you just have to kill it with task manager anyway
Bloated and slow. My linux install takes 1 gig of ram with relatively heavy desktop environment, and videa in general works without stuttering issues plaguing windows. >I haven't paid for it
have you really never asked yourself why microsoft gives windows away for free and tolerates install scripts?
I've been playing it on a 1660s on medium/high settings at a solid 60 with no crashes and I'm about 15 hours on. Is this just people pushing their card a bit much? Don't tell me. You don't leave a bit of wriggle room for your card to breathe?
this happened once after I pressed f to get out of the boat. Hope that wasn't an s+ pro run for you OP
>4K
your own fault
/thread
poor people trying to make their systems rich
Works just fine on any pc with loads of VRAM, lower end users just can't use RT and 4k depending on their hardware.

If you want to play 4K max settings on AAA games then get a 4090. I bet you put the Image Quality to 200% too. moron.
Ganker has come to the point of defending shitty ports now? lmfao

Digital Foundry video on PC version, watch it for crash fix

rtx?
works on my 4090
Studios figured out it's cheaper to push their crap on to gamers and gather the telemetry then fix, than to do extensive QA.
never crashed on my 3090 and thats a last gen card
>thats a last gen card
Irrelevant, it still has 24GB of VRAM which is the main issue causing the crashes.
20 hours
0 crashes
1 bug where a lady mutated in a save room but her body froze

Your PC is unstable, turn the clock speeds down a notch
The game is shit and the devs are incompetent
