Umbrella for his big mortal draw opener, if you time it just right you'll deflect both hits. Jump and then mid-air deflect for his new combo that can end in either a shockwave or a thrust, if you miss the deflect you won't be able to mikiri the thrust but you will be able to dodge the shockwave. Just don't fuck up the deflect. Once you're used to the new moves I think Inner Isshin is easier than regular Sword Saint.
I found a lot of them can unironically just be sprinted away from. I probably lucked a tiny bit on my first kill but ultimately I didn't get stuck on a lot of moves I couldn't deal with.
If you're willing to make the fight stupidly slow (which isn't really what sekiro should be) running around and analyzing what he's doing will always be good
learn the power of block. go up to some bullshit enemy and just hold guard. stop moving. let them break your block and then let them fail to capitalise on it (most can't; guard break is only really dangerous if it happens to a flurry attack or in a group fight). this applies to bosses too.
point is, you're a lot less vulnerable than you think, except if you waste all your time by spazzing around and moving. instead, use that saved time to force the enemy onto the back foot by attacking. only stop when they deflect. then get ready to deflect yourself. then you're on the attack again. that + learning to add style points is the game. >hesitation is defeat
allright so what exactly did he and big G do to just crawl out of his corpse, even though Isshin allegedly still has his corpse in the castle? >return to Emma after Isshin >no option to talk about it
Some other anon can probably answer this better because its been a minute since I was looking at Sekiro lore, but essentially IIRC Genichiro had some bullshit magic sword that brought people back from the dead.
>muh DDR >muh racing games are rhythm games because you just push left and right at the right time >platform games are rhythm games because you hold right and jump at the right time
>final boss is just some old guy
>it's kino every time
HOW
>sword saint
>pulls out a gun
Yeah, ok.
Smartest boss around
Unironically I say this to myself anytime I go on dates and am nervious about going in for a kiss or something.
does it work?
some people will cringe reading that, but I get it anon, great work on pushing yourself.

Made me lol, but happy for you anon. Take inspiration wherever you can find it.
What am I supposed to do about any of Inner Isshin's new attacks?

HOW MY BLOOD BOILS!!
I need to play through Sekiro again, any cool mods?
You can loop-lock his AI if you deliberately hesitate, though.

the blade

Geni's black immortal blade has the power to summon the dead. There's a lore pickup about it somewhere in the midgame, by Isshin's bedroom.
There is no actual difference in gameplay between this and DDR
And?
There is no actual difference in subatomic particles between your brain and animal slop
